Guest Reviews
- Erik (10/5): - Lovely place and surroundings. Kind and helpful staff
- John (10/5): - The owner was a lovely lady and a beautiful property lots of wildlife, the peace and quiet was awesome will definitely stay again.
- Sherryl (8/5): - Lovely country setting, able to sit and watch the birds and kangaroos.
- Roger (10/5): - Lovely. Tranquil. Very pleasant stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful setting and location. Only one basket of firewood
- Elea (10/5): Peaceful retreat - Our hosts were very accommodating and the property a picturesque escape from the suburban grind. Highly recommend staying here.
- Laura (8/5): - A beautiful spot secluded away from the hustle and bustle of life. Make sure you speak with the owners if you need specific bedding arrangements. The shower is over the bath which is fine for able bodied people not so for the elderly or those less mobile. Great fire, excellent beds, could offer extra linen for stayed longer than 2/3 days. All in all a great spot.
- Matt (8/5): - The chalet was great. Very clean, tidy, and everything you need for such a stay. Downside would only be no wi-fi and owners could have been more engaging. I.e. on leaving ask if everything was to our liking.
- SJ (10/5): - A lovely chalet in the Bush. Wake up to sheep and kangaroos. Everything provided. Beds comfy and a lovely wood fire. Very clean. Could go with some new couches As there is a 2 seater and some chairs but that is a minor Issue. Would stay again.
- Annemarie (10/5): - Overall very good: Friendly hosts, comfortable accomodation. Nice environment
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This property is the perfect hideaway for a relaxed and quiet holiday while also being close to town and the natural features of Albany. You are 'out' of things you enough to get peace and quiet (and lots of kangaroos) but can be 'in' the thick of town and tourist activities if you want to be. We lived staying here. The wood fire was a great added touch.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Close to the town of Albany, but lots of kangaroos and sheep everywhere.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Ideal location to travel around the Albany/Denmark area, situated about 10kms from the town centre, but easy access to the major roads and 10mins to petrol station and shops.
The chalets have all the necessary appliances for self catering, it is very quiet having no traffic or neighbour noise and has comfortable bedding for a great nights sleep.
Shower and water pressure are excellent too.
Hosts are very pleasant and helpful
- Verified traveler (10/5): Would Stay Here Again. - Loved the bush setting. Lots of space, particularly for walks. Unit was clean and comfortable. Nice kitchen, although a bit small. Can cook with full gas cooker. Loved the rainwater coming from the taps. Very private as the units are spaced apart. Warning: don't park under the trees as there are birds (and their droppings)! Also there's no wi-fi but there is mobile signal so you will have to use your own internet. Only a few minutes from the nearest shopping centre and 15 mins or so from the beach. Not a problem for us as we are not beachgoers. Check out the sheep and kangaroos. Beds are a bit small - double and singles, so may be squashy if you're tall.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Small but comfortable cottage located on a beautiful property with many sheep and kangaroos! Kitchen was well stocked and we really enjoyed the fireplace!
- Barry (10/5): Lovely stay great views - The trip was amazing, great view and far away enough from the town that there is no noise, but close enough that a shop is 10 minutes away if you need last minute things like we did. Beautiful views with troops of kangaroos grazing in the mornings and evenings. Has all the basics that you need and friendly reception.
- Alan (8/5): A very pleasant place to stay - A great location with views to the Porongorups and plenty of wildlife. Quiet and peaceful.
- Erica (10/5): Bush surrounds but close to everything - My husband and I stayed here for three nights and really enjoyed it. We loved waking up to kangaroos with their joeys in the lawn around our chalet every morning, and feeling like we were out in the bush when we were only a ten minute drive to Albany CBD. The location was also a great starting point for trips to the Two Peoples Bay Nature Reserve and Mount Many Peaks. The chalets themselves are modest but suited all of our needs -- we enjoyed the BBQ facilities and kitchen supplies that allowed us to have a few nights 'in'. The owners of the property were great at informing us about things to do in and around Albany -- they even called us to let us know that fireworks would be on one night and where we could go to see them if we were interested. This is a great property for people who want to be close to the action but also have a bit of a 'semi-rural' experience.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fantastic - Beautiful surrounds, comfy bed, friendly people - what more could you ask for?
- Jason (10/5): Peaceful - Great secluded location with plenty of wildlife. Enjoyed it. I'll be back.
- Za (10/5): Peace away from noise - Was rejuvenating (at least for me) to stay here. My partner and I found it really relaxing and it was good to just be left upto our own devices, being able to cook and come and go whenever etc. The only thing that would've make it better was knowing there was a USB port on DVD player, so could've watched anything we wanted if we'd known. But we just read or played board games instead, so fine.
Nice to come out and have kangaroos looking at you from the window, even a little joey! there is a supermarket 5 mins drive away, you don't even have to drive into Albany to get anything. Thank you woody grange ! :)
- maddy (10/5): relaxation at its finest - Very tranquil surroundings with beautiful scenery. Close to all amenities by car but far enough away for total relaxation definitely going back
- Owen (10/5): Great place! - Great location! ! Quiet and beautiful! Lots of kangaroos!
