• Colleen (4/5): Being a 10 year airbnb host it was Disappointing for the price. - It’s location Clearer check in procedures Doona was stained. 3 sugars & 1 coffee satchels for 2 Days Under a cover the couch was in a state of disrepair with bits peeling off. Certainly not worth $300 a night.

• Fiona (1/5): Nothing to recommend it - Where to start? So little room in the bedroom that we had to stash our bags in the bathroom. No door, only a curtain between bathroom and bedroom. Whole building very run-down, holes in walls, rusty guttering. Only one partly used toilet roll for a three night stay. Not enough milk for a three night stay for two people. One mug, one wineglass, 2 dessert spoons and one teaspoon was all that was provided, and the TV wasn't working (one children's channel with no sound.) When the responsible person was contacted re these deficiencies he grudgingly said that he would "tell the cleaners." On the last evening of our stay two mugs and a wineglass appeared on a table outside our room, but no indication that they were intended for us.

Nicht ganz durchdacht, z.Bz Vorhänge zu schmal. Insektengitter vorm Fenster hatte Riesenloch. Lampen gingen t.w. nicht zum Einschalten. Lampe im Bad sehr verdreckt / staubig.
• Harish Kumar (4/5): We were 4 people. Only one old heater was provided and it didn’t work well—it was freezing all night. Heated beds couldn - Easily accessible, Room was clean, parking provided. We were group of 4, the stay had a living area along with 2 single beds, and a bedroom with one double bed. Only one heater was provided. It’s a Kmart old hearted, and it wasn’t even heating the place. When asked, they said they only have one heater and they cannot provide another one. It was freezing inside the whole night. Heated beds hasn’t got any power socket to be plugged in next to the beds, so it’s a waste. No sink or kitchen area, so no water. Have to fill water from the toilets only.

• Rhian (7/5): Overall comfortable and value for money. - Place was comfortable and close to town. There was no one else staying there so we got a free upgrade to a room with a bathroom. Unfortunately we never received the wifi password. Also the cutlery provided had old food stuck to it.
• Michael (2/5): - Nothing Place was dirty moths an monquitos , even a wasp. Had to go buy flyspray to stay in it. Fridge was off , full of water had to clean to use it. Really nothing good about it. Hear all noise up stairs. Was the worst out of the trip. 3 bowls , one plate in family room ? Husband had to call how to turn fuse box off. Jug tripped out . One towel for 4 people, has to go to room 2 an get more. Very dissatisfied stay.

Front entrance dirty, our outside balcony was filthy, hadn’t been cleaned for months, cigarette butts on floor, appeared to be urine in corner. No kitchen facilities, or teas or coffee provided. Cost was reasonable for Apollo Bay, but no excuse for not being clean.
• Jiri (7/5): For the price it is a good place to one night stay. - The location is good - quiete place and with parking slot. Beds were too soft and the fan in the bathroom is not working. For one night stay it is OKAY, but for long term it is not.

• Poole (3/5): Disappointed. - Not much! The bathroom was good; a bath and good shower. The balcony was not clean. Only 1cup, plate,etc even though it was booked as a double! Too far from restaurants and bars. No information regarding access.

• Clare (3/5): Slightly traumatic - Large room and nice location I'm sorry but this building isn't fit for the accommodation that it is aiming to provide. Paper thin walls and floors. We could hear every single movement and conversation coming from upstairs, (including intimate moments). Didn't get a wink of sleep. The room was freezing cold. Just a tiny heater trying to heat quite a large space. The shower ran out of hot water after a few minutes. The cups for tea and coffee were used and dirty. I don't normally like giving bad reviews but I wouldn't want others to waste their time and money like we did. Pretty disappointed.

• Jordan (6/5): - Very close the beach, and the room was very clean No blockout blinds or curtains had us up very early both nights of the stay. Also no air quality control in the room was a bit tough as the second night the room got very warm
• Mark (4/5): Not worth the money. - Room was tiny and very hot with no air-conditioning. We only had one set of towels so had to share. I called the number for some additional ones but they didn't arrive until after we had got ready and gone out for the evening. It was a shared bathroom which we knew and there were a rail with the room numbers on for the shower mat and small towel but there was nothing on our room number rail. The fire alarm on ceiling was missing which is a big no-no. value for money was very poor in our opinion compared to other places that we have stayed in. All of the above.

• shelly (5/5): Only book if nothing else is availabl - It was the only room available in Apollo Bay. We were in the quieter of the two buildings. No one was available for check in. After a phone call they sent us to the wrong room and we walked in on someone.

• Keegan (2/5): I wouldn't stay here again as I felt the ad was misleading and the room was dirty. - The location was amazing. So close to the beach and only a short drive to the town centre. The room wasn't ready upon arrival and it wasn't clean. The bed had hair and crumbs/lint on it. The towels had been cleaned but were still damp.

• Jacqueline (4/5): - Josh was friendly and gave us a good tip with the viewpoint. When we arrived, the door was open and a dirty towel was lying on the floor. There was only one plate and the cutlery was dirty and sticky. The glasses weren't clean either. We weren't sure, how well the room was actually cleaned. There were black hair in different places. Josh was helpful, but since he wasn't in-house, it didn't make sense to call him for these things.

• Caroline (5/5): Duur en zeker niet de moeite, zelfs niet voor 1/3 van de prijs. - Groot balkon. Verder weinig positief. Prijs! Duurste overnachtingsplaats (van mijn ganse maand in Australië) maar de minst hygiënische. Hygiene dus ook niet bevallen! Lakens waren wel proper. Heel veel stof overal, stofnetten aan de verwarmingslampen (die trouwens stuk waren), gordijnen stoffig en niet voldoende breed om de raam te verduisteren. Buren konden gewoon binnenkijken.

Understand this is not a motel - more like a "boarding house" Door egress through main access door in fire situation is not to code Cost of room $189 excessive and dare I say "price gouging" for a Saturday night because they can I have photos to back my complaint

Felt like hosts could not be bothered and just wanted the money . Really not good enough as have had far better service in other places at cheaper prices. Must do better...😞

Balcony and lots of space and good hot water for shower Detergent but no tea towel, heater temperature control did not work, TV remote batteries flat, chipped plate, no tissue box or spare toilet roll so purchased my own, and promised an electric kettle twice but not delivered so used microwave . Sofa bed not very comfortable

Not great security, considering our door was a hollow core door & the curtains don’t fit the front windows so there is a lack of privacy.

• Scott (3/5): Not very enjoyable - It was in a good location When we arrived the room wasn’t ready for a 3pm check in so they asked us to drive around for 45 min and when it was cleaned it had lollies and old cups under the beds and on the floor.

• Angela (5/5): It was a welcome place to find at short notice on a stormy evening. - It was a good and timely shelter from the storm. Once the heater had been on for several hours it was warm. The shower was very small but the water was hot. The electric jug didn’t fit under the bathroom tap so you had to kneel on the floor and lean over the tub to fill it. The soft furnishings (curtains, upholstery, carpet) were all tired and a bit grubby. All the decor was tired and it would be a good idea to fix the hole in the wall on the staircase. We saw no one but some of the ‘neighbours’ came in late (about 11) and made a lot of noise banging around.

• Elizabeth (6/5): Pleasant - We stayed in the family room. It was a quiet location. The beds were comfortable enough with electric blankets on the single beds and an electric room heater. The room and light fittings were dusty. The heat lamps in the bathroom didn't work and another light was flickering. The curtains facing the street weren't wide enough to cover the windows properly. The 'Ocean views' are mostly obscured by huge trees. Access to the balcony is through the bathroom. The fridge hummed so loud we had to turn it off at the wall. The shower wasn't properly clean. There was no electric blanket on the double bed.
• Cathleen (8/5): - excellent value for money. Only real issue with unit was that the door was difficult to open and needs to be adjusted. For 3 people it was quite spacious.
• Caroline (1/5): ABSOLUTELY REVOLTING. - Nothing - worst advertised accommodation I have ever gone to. Stained bed linen that also looked like it had just had the bedspread pulled up, leaving the sheets from previous tenants underneath. Dirty room - shelves thick dust with cups and saucers placed on tea towel over this; un-tended outdoor area. Shower screen broken and wouldn’t close. Electrical power boards either hanging in the air to plug in to or perched on stained headboard. Absolutely ASTOUNDING they can charge money for this place. We left - knowing we wouldn’t get our money back and went elsewhere. Lesson learned!
• Margaret (5/5): It was Ok - There was No Breakfast There was only 1 plate for 3 people. Also the Smoke Detector wasn’t in the ceiling properly & that’s a big problem. Could get more curtains for the windows.

• Lily (7/5): Ok for a quick stay - Simple checkin and checkout. Cleanliness was acceptable. Beds were comfortable. Facilities were fine and wifi worked. Walls / ceilings did not isolate any noise so even when people were simply moving around upstairs or in the stairway, it was very obvious. Not great if it's late and there's people shifting luggage around or waking up earlier than you next door or upstairs!

Room doors are internal only so if other guests were noisy it would affect you. No wifi password provided, contact person did not respond to a text. We rang 710 am when power wasnt working and no reply. Had to find the two power boards ourselves and flip the tripped switches. Two room lights not working. A little more responsive would help.
