• Elisabeth (9/5): Sehr zu empfehlen und sehr erholsam - Man hat ein eigenes kleines Häuschen mit Ausblick auf das wunderschön angelegte Areal. Der Aussenbereich, den man nutzen kann, ist sehr großzügig mit überdachter Terrasse (gut bei Sonne und Regen) und der Rasenfläche davor. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut, es ist großzügig und es war auch sehr sauber. Die Gastgeber sind super hilfreich und nett, kümmern sich gleich, wenn etwas fehlt oder geben auch Tipps, was man unternehmen kann. Die Lage ist sehr gut. Die Kai Iwi Lakes sind nur 10 Min zu Fuß weg für einen Walk oder zum Schwimmen. Eher Verbesserungsvorschläge: Es ist innen nach unserem Geschmack nicht so gemütlich gestaltet. Alles, wirklich alles ist in dunkelgrau, schwarz oder weiß gehalten. Da könnte man, wenn mal ein Austausch ansteht etwas Farbe oder Holz mit aufnehmen 😊. Ein kleiner Couchtisch, um etwas abzulegen, wäre auch noch nett. Im Bad wäre vor dem Fenster ein hellerer Sichtschutz schön. Da man auf der Toilette oder unter der Dusche direkt vor dem Fenster sitzt/steht, muss man den Sichtschutz nutzen und dann ist es dunkel im Bad.

Great fun using the home theatre & gym. The lakes were close and brilliant for swimming. Wonderful host. Thanks Cherie. Nothing to add - everything was fine

• Sarah (8/5): This was a great couples romantic get away. The bird life was amazing and so was the lake. - Location was great, walking distance to the lake. Apartment had all amenities. We knew to take our food, but we forgot oil for the bbq which was supplied. Spa was lovely. The pond in the picture was a bit lack lustre, but nice in the rain. The bird life was amazing.

• Penny (10/5): Great escape - We stayed at The Lakes over New Year and it was absolutely everything we needed. The hosts were amazing , so welcoming and genuinely took great care of us throughout our stay. The place itself was beautiful, peaceful, and incredibly serene… the perfect getaway to truly unwind. Waking up to the calm of the lakes was magical, and having access to stand-up paddle boards and kayaks made for such a fun and memorable morning out on the water. It added an extra special touch to an already wonderful stay. We loved every minute and can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful escape.

• Carlene (10/5): Amazing!! - Loved the location of the place. The apartment was nice and secluded, and also very quiet. Our hosts were amazing and so friendly; they even gave us a Christmas tree! The shower was great, and the beds were so comfy I had the best sleeps while staying there. There was so much to do there, including the theatre room, spa, and gym. We were even told the secret location for our own private access to the lake! I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!

It's located so close to the kai iwi lakes and an easy day trip from there to do the surrounding areas of opononi etc Nothing i did not like about thus place and hope to get back there

• Diane (10/5): Dream location to relax, but with lots to do on your doorstep - Each villa was secluded and private. We had a wonderful outlook with private patio and grass area to relax and BBQ. Hosts were so helpful and the location was perfect. Nothing- we had everything we needed and more.

• Marion (8/5): Lovely location with nice walks, lovely room. - Location near to the lake. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Nice spa pool. Very comfortable bed. Room was large and clean. Likely decorated. Nice outdoor area with bbq. Shower wets the entire room. Heat pump, dvd player and induction cooktop were difficult to use. Probably wrong type of pan for induction cooktop. Used BBQ instead. Tv was small. No TV in bedroom. Curtains were very sheer.

But what we really loved was how incredibly clean and tidy everything was. Our accommodation was pristine and it offered everything we needed. We'd love to come back. Nothing. We loved it here. The grounds were beautiful, the shared facilities (spa area) clean and well organised. We loved everything.

We loved the quiet, peaceful surroundings; the privacy, and the lush grounds with a view of the pond and the beautiful Black swans. I wish we could have stayed longer.

The price is a bit high for the nights of stay however not enough option around the area. The host was nice and accomodating The swamp by villa three and the distance to get to the villa means we couldn’t bring the car closer and at night time it was too dark. Not very safe for people with little kids to walk over the wooden walkway over swamp.

• Haynes (8/5): Thank you very much Cherie we will definitely be back😊😊 - It was such a lovely stay at the Wai hou Oma Lodge. we had so much fun the facilities that were included was well worth the stay. I had so much fun kayaking across the kai iwi lakes and the spa and cinema was a lovely treat to enjoy during the weekend! The beds were lovely made and nice and comfortable! And Cherie the manager was so nice and friendly towards us all she looked after us very well! We are so glad we chose this place we definitely recommend this place to stay!
