• Kerry (4/5): Turned out ok but shocked at the misrepresentation of our accommodation. - We knew the location so that was fine. Staff were great, very helpful. The accommodation was exceptionally clean and accessible. We could have Christmas with our two dogs, and the dog area was a great addition to the park. We planned a family Christmas getaway and thought we had booked a two bedroom family cabin. You look at the photos and description on Booking.com and that is what it showed. But when we arrived, our 'cabin' was literally a caravan without wheels. Way too small for 3 adults and 2 dogs so we felt mislead. The lady on Reception indicated they were fully booked when we checked in. There were no cooking facilities adequate for preparing a Christmas meal in the cabin, a portable oven type set up with hot plates on top and a tiny amount of bench space. I ended up having to book another cabin with a proper stove to cook our lunch and have space for us to eat meals. This was available until just after Christmas so we got lucky. Without that it would have been a disaster. Super clean, but I would suggest ringing before booking to confirm exactly what you are getting. There was no privacy for changing in the tiny cabin. I would go back to the bigger cabins as prices good and cabins super clean.

• Monica (10/5): Very relaxing and fun filled holiday! - I loved how relaxed and friendly the staff were, the cabin was cute and compact perfect for a family to stay comfortable with the playground just opposite so the kids were safe and could be seen from the cabin! They had lots of play areas for the kids and had a designated dog park if you brought you furry friend with you! They also had a very friendly Goat! He was very good with the kids too!! The laundry was great and easy to and the toilets were very clean! So if u wanna nice quiet stay this is the place for you!! Especially if your child is neurodivergent (as one of mine is and he loved the tranquility) not to mention attractions like tower hill and Griffiths island isn’t too far and the town is like a 5-8 minute drive. The sunsets are something beautiful to look at.

The cabin is not a refundable booking through booking.com, the dogs were declared, I booked and paid for a pet friendly cabin, after this, I was emailed that I will be charged an extra $10 a night for havings dogs (even though I booked a pet friendly cabin and had already paid them) the booking was nonrefundable, and I did not see anywhere on booking.com that I had to pay extra fees or I would have booked elsewhere..

• Katherine (8/5): Great stay at Gum tree caravan park! - We had a fantastic stay in Port Fairy Gum tree Caravan park. The location was perfect — close to everything we needed, with easy access to local attractions. The accommodation was very, very clean, which made us feel comfortable right away. We have been advised prior to our arrival that there was a small hiccup with our original basic room, but the owner handled it exceptionally well, upgrading us to their top family room free of charge. The service overall was excellent — friendly, responsive, and genuinely focused on making sure we had a good experience. Would definitely recommend staying here if you're visiting Port Fairy! Would have preferred bunk beds to have doona covers too (only available on the queen bed), kids were a bit cold.

The owners/staff were lovely and extremely friendly The cabins cater for families not adults we are four adults 2 in their sixties and there was a double bed and then bunks which were uncomfortable and weren’t even made up we had to do that ourselves along with the fact that bunks are not suitable for anyone else but children. The wind comes under all the doors and the floor was slippery due to wet weather no door mat inside to help elevate this.
