- Louise (1/5): Do not stay in Unit 5 - Location to KI ferry Filthy fridge
Used cleaning sponges

Revolting bathroom exhaust fan
Broken fly wire door
Leaking shower
Outdated details on day before confirmation
Disinterested staff
Ridiculously overpriced
- Mandy (3/5): Ferry stopover - Location as very easy off the ferry for the nights stay. Poor communication for late check in
Dirty with layers of dust
Milk in fridge was out of date
- Jenny (8/5): One night stay on route to KI - As I was catching ferry to KL early the next morning the location was terrific The park felt somewhat run down we where only people staying
- Stan (3/5): Glad it was only one night - Location was good for access to the ferry to Kangaroo Island, local tavern and limited shopping. Just about everything. Droppings on pillows in second bedroom - mice or geckos? Everything felt dirty and old. Front steps felt rickety and unsafe.
- Jasmine (3/5): - - Convenient location, opposite the pub which has good food.
- Friendly staff who provided us with board games. - Dirty facilities - loads of live ants in the shower, stained sheets in bedrooms
- BBQ listed as a facility but extremely dirty and un-usable. Disappointing as we brought food to BBQ with us.
- Extremely pricey for what is provided.
- Very outdated decor and TV.

- Erika (6/5): - Ottima posizione, super comoda con il traghetto per Kangaroo Island! Struttura un po vecchia, poteva essere più pulita.
- Norman (6/5): Good location, mostly facilities is Okay for my stay and also quite. - Not many restaurant or cafe, very recommended that if You stay at Cape Jervis You need to purchase your grocery logistics for your stay especially for dinner. We stay at unit no 1, the main door not able to lock so do not leave your valuable things at units while you away. Also for summer alot of fly and insect. For location is the best if You need to crossing to Kangaroo Island. Just 2 minutes away from the Ferry terminal.
- Dipesh (10/5): -
- xinyi (9/5): really convenient location for taking the early ferry to Kangaroo Island - friendly host, gave us some information on the local restaurant everything was good
- RHONDA (10/5): very enjoyable. - We have stayed at the units before, and they are very tidy and clean, the bed is lovely to sleep on and in general the unit was excellent, thank you.
- WeiWei (8/5): -
- Sarah Jane (1/5): Terrible! - The bird life. The kitchen and bathroom were dirty and it was evident that the shower had not been cleaned. We had to clean the shower ourselves. There were dirty pots in the cupboard.
- Anthony (5/5): -
- Tracey (7/5): Big apartment, excellent location - Great location, minutes away from the Kangaroo Island ferry wharf. Very spacious apartment with a well-equipped kitchen. Friendly host. The apartment and grounds need some attention. The sliding screen door was hard to open and close. The shower door was difficult to close, so water escaped onto the floor. Fixing small things like this would really elevate the property.
- Wen Pei (3/5): 下次不会来,建议他人也不要来。 - 地理位置 设施和清洁度
- Wilson (10/5): - The Guy that owns this place is a fantastic guy .Beautiful Place ... Heaps to explore .... 100% recommend staying here if you want a relaxing holiday .
- Karen (8/5): -
- Renate (3/5): -
- Tana (8/5): Excellent value comfortable accommodation a stone's throw from the Kangaroo Island ferry. - Perfect location for a day trip to Kangaroo Island.
Large well equipped kitchen area, comfortable beds and comfortable living space with air conditioning and heating. Very cold bathroom. The shower head could use a replacement, the shower was hot but not very powerful as the rubber in the shower head was so perished.
- Colleen (7/5): -

- patrick (8/5): -
- Rod (7/5): -
- Tracy (8/5): - It is great for 1 night close to Cape Jervis Ferry terminal.
- Kellie (5/5): Convenient for Heysen trail, and KI ferry - It was a good size unit, had a good size kitchen and the beds was comfortable. Hot water and heating worked well. Met by a lovely young man who checked us in. The place needs a really good clean, the kitchen has a layer of grease and the window screens of the unit were full of caked on dirt.
- Jessica (9/5): -
- Pauline (1/5): Wouldn’t stay there again. Wouldn’t recommend it! - Location to Sealink Ferry Screen door and all windows were filthy. Couldn’t see out of them. Smelled like it had been closed up since last occupant. Garden and surrounds not maintained at all. Barbecue was disgustingly filthy and couldn’t be used. Outdoor furniture on verandah filthy. Reception meant to be open from 8am to 8pm but door was closed and locked all the time. A power box kept tripping out causing an incessant beeping. TV froze and wouldn’t turn off.
$220 a night is exorbitant for what you get!
- Michelle (5/5): It was sufficient for what we needed - It was close to our destination being the SeaLink ferry The shower needs a decent clean
- Beverley (10/5): -
- Colin (9/5): Superb - The pub over the road was very run down. Not at all inviting.
- Andrew (7/5): Good -
- Jennifer (6/5): A pleasant stay - good location to everything Nil
- April (8/5): Very good -
- Julie (10/5): Great place to stay in a small town - Bathroom was great, beds were comfy, had all the cooking facilities needed. Used any food scrapes for their dog and chickens.
- Anur (8/5): Well located, good property which needs a little upkeep. - Good property. A little more cleanliness especially the toilets need a look in.
Kitchen needs a few more utensils like strainer etc.
- Carol (7/5): Good -
- Couzygirl (7/5): Comfortable enough but doesn't compare to my last stay in 2014 - The unit was clean and fairly comfortable. The reception gentleman was friendly. Very convenient location to catch the ferry to KI. Unit 5 - Front Screen door broken and hard to open/close. Bathroom had multiple small issues - Shower rose needs cleaning or replacing as water comes out in 6 different directions, with some of the holes blocked. Mould stains in the shower. The shower door very loud when trying to open or close it. Tea and Coffee was provided, along with UHT milk portions but no sugar sachets at all. No cold water in the fridge and no available jug so at least guests can do their own. Freezer switched off, so no ice cubes.
They are all minor issues I know but with very little cost to the owner, these sorts of things are what makes a stay excellent, rather than just ordinary.
Stayed here 10 years ago (back in August 2014) and really loved it. Sadly, it's been 'let go' a bit and appears run down.
Would rate as a 7.5/10
- Terry (8/5): We were out most of the time. It was a good place to come back to, - The unit was clean and comfortable. Might be an idea to out the A/C on before guests arrive when the weather is very hot. We all thought that maybe there was work being carried out to improve the site where the units were located. I hope this is the case. If not, think about it. Seems such a shame that the garden areas were so run down.
- Simon (9/5): Superb -
- Christine (5/5): Passable - It is very close to the jetty for Kangaroo Island. The facilities needed a good clean. The bathroom was leaking water onto the floor, creating a foul smell.
- Alison (7/5): Good -
- You (8/5): Very good -
- Carol (8/5): Nice convenient hotel but beware - Great location if you are planning to take the ferry to Kangaroo Island. There is a pub accross the street for food. Room is spacious and comfortable. The only problem was that there was a rodent trying to get into our snacks and eat my vitamins and medici left on the counter for the next morning.
- Bevin (8/5): - Spotlessly clean unit and our kids loved the cubby outside.
Owners are very friendly and give great recommendations about surrounding area.
Very quiet so you can hear birds.
We felt very safe and relaxed and the owners were very kind and even gave us insect spray until we could get to town.
We enjoyed our stay.
- Sharon (8/5): - Hotel is very close to ferry. Property is older, but well cared for and extremely clean.
- Geoff (8/5): Very handy to the Cape Jervis Sealink Ferry terminal for trips to/from Kangaroo Island. - Our arrival at the property was always going to be afterhours of the reception. We rang ahead and arranged a procedure to access our cabin, which the managers were only too happy to help us with. The cabin had plenty of space for 4 people, albeit there was only two of us. It had everything we needed for our short stay.
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sylvia (8/5): Very good - Location was great for the ferry to Kangaroo Island.
What a magnificent sunset from the viewpoint. The fyscreen door kept sticking...needs a bit attention.
- Kumar (3/5): Poor - Nothing The door lock stucked, and we couldn't get out for at least 30 minutes. What would be happening if there was a fire in the building. Called staff for help, but never answered.
Milk pods in the fridge were spoiled and ruined my coffee.
- Grace (7/5): Good -
- Hashan (9/5): Nice place for a stay - Facility was so clean and equipped with all the items you need for a stay. and if you are looking to visit kangaroo Island for a day like same day comeback this is the perfect place. Restaurant is 300 m away and calm quite ambiance. Facility is two bedroom and living and a kitchen area, AC is located in the living area so in summer season which we visit can be little hot.
- Milena (3/5): Poor -
- Lee (8/5): The tavern across the road was fantastic, food and atmosphere is good. - Location was great ,
- Ricardo (6/5): Pleasant -
- Hilary (9/5): great location - great location
- Fiona (8/5): Great place to stay before your trip to Kangaroo Island - Location was good apartment very comfortable Fridge didn’t work
- Rebecca (7/5): Good - The bathroom had leaks
- Marjorie A (10/5): Good stay! - Great comfortable 2 bedroom quiet cabin with all the amenities needed plus directly across the road from a pub with tasty food.
- Xi (8/5): Very good - Close to ferry Power key and door key are together. It’s not convenient when you want to lock the door in the dark, because you can’t see anything.
- Balfe (7/5): The cabin was fine for our one-night stay. There really isn't much choice in Cape Jervis . - Comfortable cabin. close to ferry terminal. The cabins are just showing their age a bit. Could do with a freshen up. Plastic cutting boards had been put away damp, resulting in considerable growth of black mold.
- Mark (7/5): A good overnight spot too stay, when catches the Kangaroo Isalnd ferry - Big and roomy cabin, close to tavern and ferry terminal Nothing really
- Katheryne (8/5): Very good -
- Gower (7/5): Good -
- Airica (7/5): Good -
- Bruce (10/5): Exceptional - Quiet location only 5 units Shower was a bit grubby
- Robyn (7/5): Only place to stay to get early ferry to Kangaroo island - Very close to the kangaroo island ferry with a tavern across the road for dinner The lights go out when you take the key out to lock the doors and then you can’t see what you are doing.
- Tracey (9/5): Nice warm comfortable stay - Well organised
Everything that we needed
Great location to meet the ferry
- Colin (4/5): Would not stay again - The shower and toilet were dirty with mould all over the place
The crockery was dirty and stained
The on l y tea towel was so dirty you would not use it
Bath towels were very small
- Kimberly (9/5): Great location for the ferry - The host met us at reception and directed us to our unit. The unit was spacious. We saw beautiful night skies after arrival, so greatly enjoyed that. It was incredibly convenient for taking the ferry the next morning. The unit was quite dated. The bathroom shower head needed to be replaced as many of the holes were blocked/broken. There were some peeling grip strips on the shower floor. Also, the vent in the bathroom was in serious need of cleaning.
- Sheila (1/5): Dreadful dirty overpriced - Location near the ferry port was ideal. The bathroom, especially the shower, was really dirty. Mugs tea stained. Pillow protectors not nice. This was most expensive villa we stayed in over our fortnight and it was nothing like as clean or luxurious as other places nearby.
We arrived around 5.30 pm. - office was meant to be open till 8 p.m. Notice at entrance said No Vacancies but there was nobody else here in any other of the units. Worst of all we could not get any response from the office for well over 10 minutes. Doorbell didn’t work, phone went to answerphone saying about making a booking and it was only the dog barking after we had stood outside and kept trying to get an answer that someone finally came to the door. Honestly we were starting to wonder if it had all been a scam.
- Karen (8/5): Relaxed holiday accomodation - Perfectly acceptable holiday accomodation. Quite comfortable space. Basic but Ok with what we were expecting. Relaxed. Cleanliness was acceptable inside but cobwebs on windows etc made it feel a little unloved. We loved location partic. for walkig down DeepCreek. Pub over the road is a hoot-lovely staff and loved the Thai food.
- Claire (8/5): Great place to stay near the ferry - We had a short stay as we travelled late on the ferry from Kangaroo Island. Host had arranged our check-in for late arrival. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We didn’t use any of the cooking facilities and went to dinner at the tavern across the road. Nothing
- Judy5 (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Emmanuell (9/5): Superb - Staff was exceptional! Nothing
- Sujit (9/5): Superb -
- Sykes (7/5): Good -
- Patthreeporn (7/5): Good - Very close to Cape Jervis ferry terminal. The place is quite old but everything is working fine. Air-con unit is really smell mouldy when turned on.
- Alex (10/5): - A very easy experience checking in and out. The unit was well furnished, comfortable and had all the amenities that were needed. A great stay, thank you.
- Liwen (6/5): Lounge room is comfortable. - It’s closed to the ferry. Only 2 minutes drive. We don’t like dark color towels. No pots available for use. Cups are dirty.
- Céline (8/5): Extremely nice and accommodating host, we're grateful for her kindness - Extremely practical to catch the ferry to KI, spacious, quiet place. The kitchen could do with a few more pans, utensils, it was very basic
