• Verified traveler (6/5): - Located in the action spot. Lots of Western tourists, bars, restaurants. Noise, cars, loud speaker blaring someone doing anoucements, music, bass pounding through the walls of room. No locker key for lockers in room. Air conditioner did not turn on. Sink in bathroom barely drained.

• Wen-jheng (8/5): 還不錯的背包客棧 - 房間空間不大，浴室空間很小，沖澡時，如果前面有人剛洗過，會有熱水不足的狀況，廁所進去會卡卡，但環境衛生還可以，床鋪也很好躺，服務人員態度很好，有提供早餐，還不錯，只是咖啡是重複煮，第一壺喝完，直接加水進去煮，沒有更換咖啡粉，所以後面就變咖啡水了，整體而言，還可以接受，另外這裡距離市場很近，吃吃喝喝逛街很方便，而且住宿價格很便宜，隔壁的法國麵包好吃又便宜

• Jared (8/5): Cheap stay.mp - For the price it was worth it. I booked the private two bedder for myself. It’s a tiny room which makes for an interesting experience for a hostel first timer. Front desk was really friendly. Good food nearby. Room floor was swept however there was visible accumulation of dust in the corners and along the threshold of the doorway. Otherwise beds were clean, bathroom was clean and dry when I got there in the evening. Oh! Beds are also long so it’s perfect even for those who are 6’2”...
• Ferne (2/5): - Hotel had a good location. Beside this the hotel was very disappointing, leaking roof, broken WiFi, tiny rooms, flooded toilets/shower- overall lack of hygiene.
• Sarah (6/5): Cheap and cheerful - The room was basic but functional. The reception staff were lovely but the room was not cleaned while we were there.
• E (2/5): The worst experience ever - I needed a place where my friend and I could keep the luggages and rest for an hour or two before our midnight flight. We booked a private room for two people and the space was tight but just as described and be seen in the photos. I usually don't write a review but this hostel's condition was the WORST I've ever seen. The AC unit looked like it was never cleaned and was not cool enough at all. I found hair on the bed sheets. Forget about the bathroom locks, the door doesn't even fit to be closed!! It really felt like the showers and toilets weren't cleaned for at least three days(I didn't intend to shower anyway luckily). There were wet towels on the bathroom floors(imagine using these on your skins even if they are cleaned!) and half-used travel-sized bottles everywhere on the shelves. Also, the staff forgot to tell us that we needed to return the room key AND the AC remote control when we check out, so we had to run all the way to the room again. If you want a place to drop your luggage, this might be okay, but seriously, you get what you pay. However, if you are thinking about sleeping here, booking this hostel will guarantee the worst travel experience.

• Kaitlyn (6/5): It's literally a bed in a box. - If you're looking for a quick place to rest this is a great solution. If you're wanting a place to hang and relax this is the worst solution. There is hardly any room to even change clothes or turn all the way around. But great if you need to crash.

• Tobias (8/5): Good budget hostel - While the room is undeniably small, you do get your own twin room with air con, comfortable clean beds and in the middle of the old quarter. We stayed here three separate occasions because of the price and comfort.
• ファーマー (8/5): ホアムキエム湖近くの便利なホテル - 旧市街地にあるホアムキエム湖まで徒歩10分程の便利なホテル。二段ベットの部屋を一人で利用。シャワー・トイレは3部屋の人達と共用、シャワーのお湯も問題なく、不便は感じない。改善点は2点。空港から86番バスで移動したが、降車場所がグーグルで調べたところと違ったこと。ロンビエンバスターミナルが分かりやすい。部屋に鍵つきの引き出しがあるが、鍵をかけたら開かなくなり、結局鍵を壊して開けてもらい、修繕費を負担したこと。女性スタッフの対応が事務的で冷たかった。修理してくれた男性スタッフは、優しかった。
• Briton (6/5): A Briton in Asia - Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Beds are small but reasonably comfortable. Area is full of life and a great experience. Hotel "Tour Guide" was unfortunately more interested in her sales/commission rather than actually helping me with travel advice. Overall, a great stay!

Equally, you can choose to remain distant from that but yet still get the excellent customer service they offer. Tour booking from there was exceptional and the guides were friendly, funny and informative.
• Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice bed, a little hard but plenty of space. Little locker for your valuables in your bed space and a larger one, as you walk in, for your luggage. I liked that each bed had a roller blind for privacy as well as a light and electric sockets. The area it is in is unfortunately loud and noisy otherwise great stay.

• Simon (8/5): Yeah, just give her a go - Same as last time, this place is comfy and cheap, the staff are chillers who speak English well enough and it's right in the centre of what's going down in Hanoi. Just give it a crack, mad spot.
• Simon (8/5): I mean yeah, she's 'right. - Box hotel is very adequate in a hostel, it's quiet for the most part, although Friday to Sunday there is the street markets which pump music until 12 but it's right there as well so the location is great. Blankets were changed every day as well as a clean towel too and floors/rubbish cleaned. Free breakfast was toast, eggs and some bacon which is totally sweet and free coffee and tea when ever you want too. All in all, enjoyable stay and cheap enough too.
• Verified traveler (10/5): 旧市街の中心地 - どこに行くにも便利な立地。ハノイ観光を満喫するには良い拠点となります。週末の夜は前の通りが歩行者天国になり酔っ払った欧米人で溢れかえり賑やかですが、客室が奥の部屋だったため連日静かに過ごすことができました。湿度が高すぎたためかエアコンから大量の水が滴る事態が起きましたが、速やかに対応していただきました(結局治りませんでしたが…)。従業員も皆さん感じがよく、大変親切にしてくださいました。またハノイに来ることがあればぜひ泊まりたいと思います。

I met many nice people and the place was conveniently located. however there are cons to being right smack in the middle of town - the noise. both traffic and loud music from the surrounding bars. the staff were nice enough, and were willing to help with some requests (asking for room change, fixing the at-times shoddy wi-fi, and giving extra toiletries). overall a pretty good experience.
• Sarah (6/5): Convenient location but not a fan of the bed - Dirty bed - LOTS of black hairs? Make sure you check when you get to the room and ask them for new sheets if necessary. There are other hotels in the area where you can get a full-sized room and private bathroom for only like 2 USD more - definitely worth it. Also bed is hard if you like that, but pillows are nice and soft.
• Sook Hwa (8/5): Strategic location. Suitable for short stay. - Friendly staff. They allowed us to check in early when we arrived in the morning. The room is small and if u have big luggages, it might be uneasy for you to move around in the room. Thus it's advisable for short stay or if u are backpacking. Comfy bed and we had a good night sleep. They only provide a small bottle of mineral water, if u need more water, u need to buy (either at lobby or nearby convenience store - Circle K).

• Chau Ming (4/5): - Very noisy during the night. I stay in a dorm bed facing the main Street in weekDays. Party all day long till one . You can hear motor bike horns all night. Bed was small and with black color water stain on wall. But this is common in Hanoi. If you are like party, the location is excellent. Staffs are helpful and can speak good English.
• Verified traveler (4/5): - We followed the advice from previous travellers and took a family room ou worth it! We but our luggage on the top bed and enjoyed the space. It's in a great location, but noisy and for any reason there is an awefull and very strong smell of sewage!
• Tor (8/5): - It is a really small room, but we were only two, so we could keep the luggage in the upper bed. There was no safe in the room. The staff are friendly and will gladly help you if needed. Lived up to my expectations beside the safe. Very cheap and REALLY good location.

• Chun Ming (8/5): wonderful location in old quarter - The hotel is located on "old quarter" that is very famous spot in Hanoi.You can take around this area by walking. Hoan Kiem Lake & St. Joseph Cathedral are nearby.
• Josh (10/5): Perfect budget hotel - Very friendly staff. Rooms small but you'd expect that anyway. Bathrooms very clean. WiFi not amazing, but acceptable. Location is very central, close to bars, restaurants and the night market. Would recommend.
• Tim (2/5): Stay outside the box - Booked and pre-paid for a room here -private bathroom, balcony/patio, room safe. Was offered none of these amenities once arriving at hotel. Bathroom was a dorm shared bathroom and balcony was non-existent. I moved to another hotel on principle alone. I prefer to get what I pay for -which I did not receive at this hotel.
• Mimi (10/5): Cool concept! - I like it how we are literally stayed in a box, just like its name! The room is so simple, enough for taking a rest after a long day of touring around Hanoi. The staffs also are very kind and helpful. Around the hotel, you can simply spot any cafe or restaurant around it. Mosque and halal restaurant also are not that far from the hotel. Everything is accessible if you stay in this hotel. However, I don't find this hotel is suitable for any family who have small kids. This hotel is more to couple friendly.
