Caroline (10/5): - A perfect stay for couples or friends for a weekend away in the Southern Downs charming town of Warwick. The Abbey is a charming and historically significant part of Queensland that was a pleasure to stay in. Unique antique furniture and fittings, lovely comfortable bedding with mini lounges to relax. Some rooms have ensuite, the ones with private bathroom across hall equally good. Relax by the fireplace in communal lounge or attend a function or meal in exquisite dining room or outdoor setting for hosted events. A charming and delightful place. The host was professional and friendly. Look forward to seeing the landscape improvements to enhance activities at property over the coming Summer.

timothy (10/5): - This1890 Gothic Abbey / Convent, is a trip down memory lane, even if your not Catholic. Is full of huge rooms all furnished in plush decor,4 poster beds, high ceilings, all rooms have views via huge double hung cedar frames. We slept in the St Bazil room (Bazil, the resident cat of 14yrs will greet you at the door in the room named after him). This room has ensuite, King Size bed, French doors open onto the raised timber verandah. Take in the smell of Cyprus Pines, resident Abbey chickens strolling past. A truly peaceful 5 star tranquil old sanctuary. Cooked b/fast incl cereal / hot drinks $30 for 2 guests. Our eggs and honey are all grown onsite. The owners live on site, they really make you feel like your at home. Take a walk through this former Convents rooms including the Chappel, huge dining room (a former classroom) the Attic and the huge wedding marquis. I have stayed twice this year, a great country escape if your passing through Warwick or a weekend getaway 2hrs up the Range from BNE. 10/10 from me.

Michael (10/5): Wonderful romantic spot, gateway to may places - A gracious and elegant venue, this former convent has been transformed into a boutique hotel of the highest standard. The grounds and building are ideal for a wedding, or a group trip. Hosts were very welcoming and made the experience even better. Dinner was excellent, and it all made for a very romantic getaway. They understand that the little touches make all the difference. We would recommend: - dining in at least some of your nights here; - the light breakfast (excellent value) - using Warwick as a base for travel around the wider region, from the Granite Belt (Girraween National Park), historic Tenterfield, wineries at Ballandean, Allora and the Mary Poppins House, as well as the Main Range National Parks and Queen Mary Falls.

We had a cozy room with all we needed and although we had a bathroom separate to our room it only added to the experience. Walking through the Abbey was like a history lesson. Quite a unique experience. We enjoyed a tasty breakfast with excellent Covid safe service. Both my husband and I were struck by the quiet and peaceful surrounds with the grass freshly mowed. Difficult for those with limited mobility, some distance from the car park, and two flights of stairs to 2nd floor accommodation. Toilet and shower amenities are individual, but located separate from the room, as was the fridge, in a shared kitchen. Other guests had utilised the three shelves with cartons of beer!

Jared (10/5): - Wonderful building, furnished with antiques. Clean room and comfortable bed. Visited in winter, was the perfect temperature to sleep. Great experience and lovely hosts. The only negative is that the tennis court is not in good repair and isn't playable - leave your racquet at home and enjoy the grounds and activities around Warwick instead.

Verified traveler (10/5): A quality place to stay in lovely little town - I booked the grandest of rooms and it met all my expectations. Such a wonderful building with a fascinating history and now very much a high-end hotel without being pretentious. The owners are friendly and welcoming and gave us a guided tour on arrival. All the rooms all have an individual character (we had a sticky beak inside some of the other ones) and I commend them on the restoration work they have done. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.
