- Phillip (6/5): It was relaxing and comfortable - The nibbles in the fridge, croissants delivered each morning and a lit fire was great I have provided feedback verbally and by email to proprietor of a list of recommendations to upgrade their facilities to a better and higher standard for the amount of money charged for the accommodation. The facility is need some general maintenance and some better quality furniture, crockery and just a general upgrade. Information about how to work items in the cabin, places to eat locally, wineries, places of interest etc or other activities in the area would help people not from the area.

- Crawley (10/5): Rosegum - We had a lovely stay for our Wedding Anniversary of 23yrs. Thank you Michael for making it one to remember with many little touches that made the weekend special. We had a lovely stay at Michael's property. Beautifully presented cabins set in lush gardens around a small lake and pond (when compared to Baroon Pocket Dam, still beautiful! 😀). Friendly Kookaburras to keep you company on your private deck, overlooking the gardens and water. One was particularly cheeky....watch your cheese! Cabin, Rosegum, was well appointed for 2 to 3 guests. Kitchen facilities are excellent and BBQ if you feel inspired. Michael has a BBQ feast you can order to the cabin to cook or a cooked hot French inspired or Mediterranean dinner with dessert. We came into a complimentary cheese platter, a decanter of Port and optional bottles of wine (wine to be purchased as from a boutique winery). Fantastic Continental Breakfast, including hot croissants, a whole loaf of bread, jams, juice, fruits, and local milk and yoghurt. Hot breakfast available. Robes and spa bath, double shower! All the little soaps, shampoo, conditioners, etc, hair-dryer. Thick towels. The open, airy loft bedroom with a view from the bed to the lake! Perfect for breakfast in bed and reading with a coffee. In your robe. Last but not least.... the bed....interesting design feature. As said, positioned to take in the view. Best description, elevated. If you are height limited, you may need a step. You have to see it for yourself it is worth a look..😁 I WONT say things I didn't like. Things to note: Phone internet reception is extremely poor, I have Telstra 5G and usually gives me excellent coverage even when camping. So just note, no one is contacting you unless by phone call or SMS. You are not watching Netflix on your laptop unless you download something. So tell the kids to contact you by Facebook Messages, threads or WhatsApp!....Lol...🤪 There is a DVD player. Michael has many DVDs if you need one. Or! Talk to your partner, read a book, do a puzzle or play a board game! Many available... bookshops and Puzzle & Game shop in Montville......Or some other recreational activity in a cabin😁🙃...pedicure for example 😀 🤣💕 If you have mobility issues or stairs are difficult to navigate, this particular cabin is not for you. Michael has many others however. Note the Kookaburras can be feisty, and steal food. The only, and I say only area that could do with a quick wipe out or vacuum....and I'm a OCD cleaning freak mum...is the cutlery and kitchen drawers. They are easy to miss, but have lots of crums and I personally didn't like it. But as I said it was the Only area not perfectly clean. Everything else was immaculate! And I'm fussy!

Michael (owner) provided us with a dinner hamper request (last minute too!), he ensured we had a beautiful cheese platter and snacks, tea/coffee/cereal/milk available included in the price and brought us freshly baked croissants in the morning! Honestly, I have stayed in 5 star hotels and not received the level of care and consideration we received here! Highly recommend to all! Cannot fault a thing!

- Santenna (10/5): Absolutely perfect! - We were greeted by Michael the owner who was absolutely lovely. Very welcoming and friendly. We then went up to our cabin and as soon as we opened the door we were so amazed with how clean and comfortable the cabin was. The beds were very comfortable and there were so much stuff in the room, a well equipped kitchen and bathroom and the room was so much bigger than we thought. It was so relaxing and we just had the most amazing time. If you are looking to get away, this is definitely the place to go. We will definitely be back😊.

- Tracy (9/5): A night away for our 16year wedding anniversary - The location was perfect for a quiet getaway. The special little touches in the room made it even better. Like the oil burner burning a lovely smell. The little nibble plate, chocolates, and a warm croissant delivered to the room in the morning. Having breakfast on the varanda and 4 Kookaburras joining us for some bacon. And of course, the spa bath. It's a big yes. I recommend That we had only 1 night stay. We would have really liked to stay longer if we didn't have work commitments we had to return home for.

Bathroom not very clean, no extractor fan in the kitchen or bathroom. Only one air conditioner upstairs no fan in the living room, no WiFi available.

The location was also great. Not far from Montville and the local bar provided a courtesy bus. Taps in the bathroom were very hard to turn off. 1 shower continued to leak.

- Nicole (9/5): Peaceful cabin stay in rainforest setting - Peaceful secluded setting overlooking a gorgeous spring fed dam. Fresh crossaints delivered every morning and a little.platter on arrival. Juice, milk, chocolates, port, and cereals.for breakfast was above our expectations. The visits from the resident kookabuuras was lovely. Michael the host makes you feel extremely welcome and even helped us out with some car challenges. In summary, a pictureque quiet secluded spot amongst acres of rainforest. We loved our stay and would definitely return! Nothing comes to mind.

- Steve (10/5): A beautiful PEACEful cottage - Loved the location of Peace cottage ... it truly was a peaceful place to stay ... although our "neighbours" on our first morning were a little raucous at 4.30am ... can't beat waking up to the sound of nature .. lol. Had to roll up the beautiful fluffy floor rug as I have a balance issue with MS and I tripped over it several times... but it really was no drama to do that. And found the lighting a bit of a "challenge"

- Monique (10/5): Absolutely loved and will come back, cabins need a little more love - The location was awesome, very secluded and private but also close to town. Michael was so friendly and accommodating The croissants were so yummy!! The property was lovely but there was a few things that need attention. We went to have a bath and once the jets were turned on a lot of gross stuff came out of the jets. Surfaces hadn’t been wiped down properly, cob webs everywhere. We didn’t actually receive a key, so when we left for an outting the accomodation was left unlocked. Was some damage to the bathroom, shower head and ceilings. My partner indulged on the cheese platter, one of the cheese seemed off, and he ended up with an upset stomach.

- McKay (10/5): A perfect location with privacy and amazing, accommodating hosts. - The location of Montville Country Cabins was exactly what we were after. Slightly out of town but not to far. The cabin overlooking the lake was amazing and provided the privacy that we were after. We were provided fresh bread and croissants each morning. Sharper knives to slice each of these would have made life easier. It rained heavily during our stay so initially sleeping was difficult, but if you like that or got used to the sound on the roof it was fine.

Visiting kookaburras on the deck overlooking the lake were a special treat. Location of the spa and the views from it were fantastic. Communication. The meals and cooked option for the breakfast hamper we had ordered online were not logged. They were however prepared on time and were extremely tasty. Internet connection was intermittent and poor. Not a big one in the day-to-day except I missed a couple of calls from overseas which I was expecting.

Host Michael was warm, welcoming, accommodating and had lots of knowledge and suggestions of things to do in the area. Grounds excellently maintained. Rooms clean and comfortable. Poor phone signal if not with Telstra and no wifi but didn't bother us.

- xiao (9/5): We had a really lovely stay. - This was our second time staying here. Such a unique spot in the region — nine little blue cabins tucked into a leafy basin. Breakfast was included, with milk and juice in the fridge, plus cereals, bread, butter and jams. There was even some wine to try! Michael dropped off fresh croissants at our door every morning (still kicking myself for not taking photos 😐). The kids loved spotting birds on our balcony in the afternoons.

- Sammy (10/5): Our favorite holiday destination - The whole experience was one we will truly remember. Montville Country Cabins has become our favorite holiday destination to date. From the generous complimentary condiments, not to mention baked croissants every morning, to the beautiful scenery from every window especially the bed. The abundance of wildlife surrounding you all times of the day, the spa bath, fireplace, bbq and coziness of the cabin was the best spot for relaxing and rejuvenating. Michael and Karen are incredible hosts. We will definitely be back 🙂

- Tejus (9/5): Rosegum Cabin : Fantastic view, great host. - Upon arrival, we were greeted by Michael with a very pleasant smile. He is a very knowledgeable person. We stayed in the Rosegum cabin. The room is very spacious with a breadth taking view and an aircon to keep us warm/cold. We were offered hot Croissants for breakfast which were delicious. The cabin had a full size kitchen with electric stove. They also provided a loaf of bread, some cereals, milk, coffee, tea, sugar, some spreads, cheese platter and few more. It was great to wake up listening to the sound of birds. The Kookaburras often visited us while we were having breakfast on the deck. The hall had a fire place with plenty of wood to keep us warm during the cold winter days. The only down side was the bed. It's a uniquely styled bed where it hangs from the ceiling with the help of chains. It was a bit of a struggle to get on the bed as we are roughly 160 centimetres and we need the help of a chair to get on to the bed. It can be a bit uncomfortable for short people or for people with bad knees.

The spa overlooking nature was so relaxing and the BBQ packs with the hot foil wrapped potatoes was exactly what we needed for our first night.
