- Anne (9/5): A fascinating historic mansion, great views and location, excellent food, and a very caring hostess - This renovated historic mansion is full of charm and stories about its origins and previous owners, in a superb location with views of Mt Wellington and the Tasman Bridge. The communal breakfast was amazing, with freshly-baked sour-dough bread every morning and a wide range of choices for every taste. Our bathroom was a tight fit, understandably in a heritage room, but adequate for our needs (one at a time!).

- Eric (10/5): Home away from home in Hobart. - The whole package! Location, style, decor, atmosphere, garden, breakfast, Nina and her mum! With the nearby bus stop, Hobart and surrounds are easily accessible. Nina made us feel right at home and comfortable even before we arrived, throughout our (too short) stay and as we departed! Leider hatten wir kein Zimmer mit Blick zum Garten und Wasser. Wir haben Nina gebeten, uns am Samstag ein Taxi zum Salamanca Markt zu bestellen. Unser Taxifahrer war dann ihr Mann, der uns genau zum Markt gefahren hat. Das war sehr lieb.

The breakfast was incredible, aside from a variety of breakfast cereals, fresh fruit salad with house made yoghurt and bacon, eggs, mini sausages and potatoes gems, each morning Nina also made either pikelets, scones or mini carrot cakes. Nina is an incredible hostess. I will definitely be coming back. I highly recommend this property when staying in Hobart. Nothing

Stayed in 2 rooms during our stay and both were clean and with very comfortable beds furnished to suit the federation style house. What made our stay exceptional was Nina the host. Nina's baking is wonderful, so breakfast each day was a treat with home baked bread and a different treat each day. The gardens are beautiful and it was lovely to walk amongst the roses with a view of Mt Wellington across the river.

Breakfast was simply delightful. Wonderful bacon and sausages, lovely home made yoghurt and gorgeous coffee. Beautiful grounds. A credit to her hard work. Thank you for allowing us to experience part of the wonder that you have created.

- Megan Silvestri (10/5): Perfection - Orana House is a beautiful home full of old world charm. Our room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. We enjoyed playing chess and cards in the living room, strolling around the lovely garden and relaxing on the verandah with a cup of tea. Nina was a very gracious host and provided an exceptional breakfast. Our room was very quiet, there was no disturbance from any other guests. It was great to have parking on site, and it was very easy to drive anywhere we wanted to go. I cannot recommend Orana house highly enough. Orana house was perfect, I cannot fault it in any way.

We came back after our first night stay and a week around Tassie, to enjoy this beautiful house again. This time we stayed for 3 nights so that we could experience more of Ninas baking and cooking and superb hospitality. Only 3 nights
- Jennifer (9/5): We’re going back! - The room was clean and well appointed. Nina’s hospitality was very much appreciated with delicious breakfasts and prompt answers to any questions. Public transport was close by. The shower could be improved with better water flow and temperature control.

- Ekaterina (10/5): Amazing experience! - It is a fantastic place! The atmosphere was straight out of Jane Austen novels and the colonialist 19th-century epoch. I never fell in love with the hotel before - now I have. And the heating mattresses are now my new obsession. Would love to be back! Hosts are excellent as well - Nina is so sweet! And breakfasts are good! Perfect place for couples! I enjoyed it a lot! Nothing. It is a perfect place.

The house and grounds are well maintained. Our room was comfortable, spotless and practical while maintaining its historic charm. A high point of any visit to Orana house is Nina. She is extremely welcoming and helpful (and an excellent cook!). Thank you again Nina and we look forward to our next stay. Leaving.
