• Riley (7/5): Easy stopover location on my travels up north, a little worn down but comfortable, cat friendly and staff were welcoming - The man at check in was lovely and welcoming, the accomodation was walking distance to get to supermarket/food and there was a small pool. Was pet friendly, including cats which can be difficult to find! Could get loud from other guests/residences in neighbouring rooms however never felt unsafe and the staff member appeared to be monitoring.

• David (3/5): Massively overpriced for a sub standard room. - It was the only room available in Albury and Wodonga I had to find a room last minute for my some and I. I paid $621 for a room that if I had paid a third of that, I would still have been disappointed. It was the most basic of motel rooms with the bare minimum facilities and an almost overbearing smell of air freshener. The fact that they think they can charge that much for such a basic room tells me that they don’t care about the customer experience one bit.

Therefore, It didnt feel particularly safe.

• Sarah (5/5): Wouldn’t stay here again, overall felt unsafe and wholly expected something to kick off in the night. It’s a cheap stay - Hot shower with great water pressure. Room quite large. Staff on check in were friendly. Location is good especially if you have a dog as River park right behind. Reasonably clean considering in a pet friendly room. Very tired bathroom, broken tiles, not crazy clean in the shower and shower curtain needing binning. Aircon unit sounds like a washing machine going. No main bins anywhere to be found, and when you have a dog you need to dispose of full poo bags, had to use the garage over the road. If anyone is outside your room it’s like they have moved into your room as door has no insulation so just constantly hearing cars & people and we stayed on a quiet night so could be a problem if full. Seems to attract lower life forms who seems to enjoy a substance or two which included arguing, slamming doors, fun conversations about police run ins in the seating area facing the pool which felt like we had to sit inside to get away from it.

• Jing (5/5): - The day before check-in, I was informed that the room I had already booked could not be provided. I was given two options: cancel the booking for a refund, or stay at another property in the neighbouring town, Hume Inn Motel Albury. I had no real choice but to accept the alternative. Unfortunately, the hygiene was poor. There were stains on the pillow, and there were no power outlets near the bed. The only places to charge a phone were by the entrance or in the bathroom, which was very inconvenient.

The mattress on the bed needed replacing, no support for your back. Needed more pillows. Shower recess door base metal trim filthy. Curtain at bathroom window full of dirt. The springs were gone in lounge in the room.

• JoLou (8/5): Comfortable room and stay but there are residents staying here. - Check in was smooth and we were given an upgrade to a King Room A permanent resident walking around asking if we smoked and then door knocking our neighbour to borrow a cigarette...then to hear her wailing and crying at the entrance of the Motel was very disturbing.

Not recommended, although the operator was helpful - Not a lot I liked although the operator was as helpful as he could be I guess so no issue with him Musty smelling room on entry, weird setup with kitchenette and bathroom being basically in different rooms/sections. No sink in kitchenette had to use bathroom 4 or 5 meters away. Dirty cupboards, doors and many areas in need of painting/repairs. Bed was fine but pillows terrible, hard. NOt a place I would return to or recommend

Despite a temperature of 43deg in Wodonga on Monday the air conditioner was quite ineffective. It is very old, and poorly maintained It was noisy and, when we set it at 17deg with maximum fan it made very little difference to the room te,persture. It turned itself off at midnight! The refrigerator needed defrosting!

• Jacinda (5/5): Property needs maintenance particularly outdoors but very pet friendly - Pet friendly, there was some well thought out things to make guests more comfortable. The inside of the place was clean. Outside it was very tired, depressing and pool was not very clean. There were simple outdoor things like gardening and maintenance outside which would have really improved the aesthetics of the property. It was quite expensive and then we were charged extra for the dog.

Room was clean but place is outdated, musty, bathroom old etc. Not sure if this is throughout, but it was like this in the pet room. No offence to the staff, but communication with them was difficult. I tried explaining to them about the smoking at the hotel by other people staying there right outside my door, and how I couldn't stay there with my bird as it had the potential to kill her (birds are extremely sensitive to scents such as this). I couldn't understand the staff much and they wouldn't answer my questions, would only hang up on me without explaining what they were doing to assist. They also didn't come to room to enquire further about what was going on so I was left confused as to whether they also understood the situation at all. It's only when I informed them I was leaving that they said they would try to fix the problem but unfortunately it was too late and I doubted there was much they could do because the people doing it were not friendly looking characters.... But that's the price you pay for cheap accommodation. Also if the motel was updated and properly sealed, the smoking wouldn't have been an issue, but it definitely shows the age of the motel that you could smell it heavily throughout the room. Ok for dogs and cats I guess, just not birds or other sensitive pets. Noted for the future. It would also have been nice for a full refund including pet fee considering the inconvenience, but yet one was not offered...

I wish I saw the google reviews before booking as I thought this place would be much much nicer. Dirty sheets, dirty towels. Bathroom smelled really unpleasant. No hand soap in bathroom only dishsoap and a dirty sponge. Bedsheets had stains and hair on it. Entire motel super old and dirty (reception etc.). Paint coming off walls, shower curtain mouldy, aircon barely worked. Doors have no extra lock inside. No lightbulb in nightlights. Very expensive for what it is. We paid 180$ a night before in Ballina in a super nice room, here we paid 160$ plus 25$ for our little dog. In saying that you would assume they use the 25$ to clean the rooms after pets have been in there.

• Estelle (5/5): needs a sign to tell guests to clean dog poo/ supply of dog poo bags/ Good for dogs. - beds were comfy good water pressure staff were pleasant pool was lovely guests dont cleanup after dogs very old rooms bathroom door didnt shut from outside
• Natalie (5/5): We didn’t stay here due to overbooking by the hotel - We did not end up staying here because after booking and paying through booking.com we received a call from the hotel on the afternoon we were due to arrive to say that the hotel was overbooked. Ash from the hotel kindly found us another accommodation in Albury with similar facilities. Great service by Ash but why was our booking not confirmed? Booking wasn’t confirmed even though we received confirmation from booking.com
• Joanna (8/5): Simple family & pet-friendly option on a great location - with friendly staff. - Excellent location - easy access to cafes, places to eat, and shops. A good option for families (and pets). Facilities were a bit dated but functional.
