Kristin (7/5): - The location was fantastic to go to the Dam which ultimately was the reason for the booking. Unfortunately the listing said the cabin was air-conditioned but only the kitchen/living area had aircon the bedroom did not....we stayed at the end of December just after Christmas so it was HOT hence why I booked what I assumed would be a fully air-conditioned cabin. But yeah my daughter s and I couldn't sleep in the bedroom with the door shut as it was way too hot. So we had to have the door open with my parents sleeping in the bed in the loungeroom. I felt that was misleading and maybe somehow it could be mentioned that the bedroom is not air-conditioned to help others wanting to stay during summer time. It also shows a slide into the pool in all the photos on this site however there is no slide into the pool at all , so that was also a little disappointing.

Dan (8/5): - Only location to stay if you want maximum time on the dam. unfortunately due to the flooding not all members of our group were able to make it. Staff were understanding and a pleasure to deal with. The 2 bedroom cabin exceeded expectations and was a relaxing time.
Laura (10/5): - The upgraded cabins. Beautiful views. Wildlife. Activities on the Lake. The set minimum nights stay over the Christmas Period as not everyone in our group could get that many days off work
Naomi (7/5): overall enjoyed our stay, we mostly went for the fishing barely used the park, - enjoyed our stay staff were friendly and helpful. rooms was not the cleanest shower had some mold and hair and tampon wrappers from previous guests, frying pan provided was so warped and old you couldn't even put a lid on it and i am glad i brought a knife even thou utensils were to be provided i thought that would be included, main bed in our room was very worn and indented from years of people laying on it the springs creaked just breathing, unfortunately we had a massive blackout on our first nights stay so lost most of the food we brought with us.

Penelope (7/5): Great ambience - Wonderful outlook with the views to the lake and the birds. Car parking was right at the door. Good kitchen facilities, excellent TV reception. Wonderful shower. Although the cabin sleeps five, it is small with only a tiny two-seater table and chairs to sit at. The bed is right at the front door and there is no room to move on the right-hand side. Bathroom is small and the cabin is tired-looking.

Judy (10/5): Stay more than one day. - Loved the position. Lake views were perfect for sunset. We were lucky enough to arrive at happy hour. That was a highlight after a big day on the road. Food was great big serves and pizza was fabulous. We definitely will go again but stay longer. Was perfect distance for our morning trip to the gemfields. Nothing not to like.

Bethany (9/5): Great location, lovely staff and great atmosphere, would stay again! - Close to Emerald, easy to get around, the furnishings were simple but clean and perfect for the size of the cabin. Our cabin was one of the older ones, the price could be a little cheaper for the size.
Britney (2/5): Very underwhelming - I liked that it was close to the dam which we enjoyed I didn’t like that the lady in the office made me feel like I should be rushing to get out of the office with my children. The cabin was outdated and the bunk bed mattress ( hardly a mattress was a brick)was horrible. The cabin stunk of mildew and cleaning products. The amount of dust on blinds etc is the exact reason we did not sleep there either night ( we stayed in emerald at a motel) as my youngest son has severe dust allergies and had broken out in hives. The kids were extremely let down by the fact there in fact was no slide at the pool. And we were told the restaurant was open 4-7 and only serving pizza…. I wouldn’t recommend the place and I won’t be in a hurry to return. This big 4 is 100% at the bottom of the ladder in the franchise.

Nikki (7/5): Disappointed - The birds that came to the cabins The kitchen and bar area wasn't open and our family came from Adelaide to stay and try the well known Redclaw. We had to go back and buy food from Emerald to cook for dinner.
Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional - The rooms and the amenity blocks were all clean and tidy! Overall, it's a lovely park! There is no lighting around the bbq facilities and the tables and chairs on the lake.

The cabin I stayed in was the perfect size for my family 2 bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. Great kitchen had everything you needed. My stay wasn't long enough 😞.

Swimming pool aged, no functional lighting despite being open till 8 pm and advertising showed waterslide which is no longer there...much to the kids disappointment
Ray (9/5): Lovely location and cabins. Worth a visit. - Rooms were cool during a heat wave. Tree were everywhere, and there were nice views of the lake. We had a late arrival and keys amd directions to our cabin were easy to follow. Beds were comfortable. No car parking beside cabins. (But they were reasonably close) Double bed. Would have liked a Queen, but I miss-read the facilities.
Jade (4/5): Not ideal accommodation as it wasn’t clean - The lake was beautiful and a short stroll from the cabin. It was very small and dated. Not many kitchen essentials there for use. And not been cleaned properly at all. Stains on the bedding sheets.

Bed in our cabin was so uncomfy, my husband and I had a numb shoulder or arm each night and I slept terribly from waking up from this. Almost felt like you could feel the top of the springs through the mattress. Definitely stayed in places much cheaper that had excellent beds, so for $220 per night, it was dissapoonting to have an uncomfy bed.

The cabin we were in was a little tired, but only a place to lay your head at the end of a day so absolutely nothing to complain about : ) There is far to much to explore to worry about that.
