Guest Reviews
- Shiara (10/5): -
- Cassandra (8/5): Good value - Great location and quiet except could hear noise from other rooms, tv and talking.
- Donna (9/5): - Friendly staff and great location
- Neville (7/5): -
- Gregory (10/5): -
- Simon (10/5): Very convenient.neat and tidy - Well located. Good value for money. No issues
- Bryan (9/5): Dave Dobbin had a hit song about a " Slice of Heaven " this place was pretty special for me - I grew up on dairy farms in NZ over 40 years ago and staying here for 5 nights has been the closest I've come to renewing the joy and wonder of being out in the country. After 6pm when the crowd had departed and I was left with the cockatoos, kangaroos and all the other oos and aas, well that was the magic time for me.
Also Cody and his team were always wonderful to mingle with and they were flat out from opening to the close, a big thank you to them all For me I couldn't have asked for anything else, for company I ventured across the road for a meal and drink with the locals at the Bodalla pub and it certainly lived up to it's reputation of the best pub in Bodalla
- Arno (9/5): Unique stay in a beautiful surrounding - A very traditional place Nothing
- Natalie (10/5): -
- Thierry (5/5): Great location but dusty rooms - The location is great, there is plenty to do with kids and family. The village is very small but enjoyable. The room was not clean. The bed linen was clean and changed but that's it.
The dust has not been done for a very very very long time!
There was a dead cockroach in the room, previous guests hairs on the bathroom, the floor was cover of dust
- Nicole (8/5): Would stay agsin, its a lovely location. - Privacy was good, could not hear the main road traffic. The bed was comfy. Shower had good water pressure. Outside scenery, the calf feeding and chickens. The nearby shops & eateries. Staff were friendly & courteous. Bathroom sliding door was a bit stiff to move. Room had a toaster, kettle & microwave but no plates or cutlery. A small table & a couple of dining chairs would have also been useful. Quite a fair amount of dust under bed.
- Lisa (8/5): Beautiful room and surroundings but a bit buggy - The staff and owner were awesome. There was a mix up with my booking and they were very accommodating. That was great.
The cheese tasting was great and the cheeses are fabulous.
The room was nice and big and opened out onto the garden.
Loved the animals. The goats were friendly and even now and then a calf came up for a pat.
Feeding time, the calves were eating hay out of my hand and they're were sweet The fly screens they did have on the windows had holes in the them and it was hot night. We had the door to the garden open for a while but the bugs got in as there was no screen and that meant that they bothered us as we slept.
One fan's cord wasn't long enough to reach the plug and there was no extension cord.
Feeding time said it was at 4pm but I had to leave at 4.15 to go to a job and it hadn't started yet on the day I was there but I was able to feed the calves some hay which was sweet.
The room only had one chair when I could have fit two, so one of us had to sit in the bed when chasing and having tea
- AMANDA (10/5): Heartfilling, tummy filling amazing experience!! - The whole experience was so lovely and filled our hearts . Please go and stay and enjoy the amazing ice cream and delicious milk!!
I was a bit starstruck when I saw the owner of the dairy there. Such a great time!! ♥️ A longer stay and the chance to have more ice reals. 🤣
- Meredith (9/5): Very friendly staff, great location. - Great motel. Large room. Enjoyed our stay. Recommend staying here.
- Ian (8/5): Lovely setting, interaction with animals was great. - The animals, free coffee in the morning! Excellent host Light bulb needs replacing in lamp
Need some cutlery and cockeryLove
- Simon (7/5): - Location and staff
Pillows and Bathroom, Milk No Air Conditioning in room
- Kelly (8/5): -
- Angela (8/5): Excellent location & great views - The King room was lovely, with views over the dam, the potty calves, goats, sheep and local wildlife. There was little to no noise overnight. Perfect spot to have a break. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bathroom was large and clean. There was also a mini fridge with microwave and kettle for tea and coffee. Nothing
- Riley (8/5): -
- Andrea (10/5): Beautiful, comfortable, peaceful - The room was so comfortable and Britney made my late check in super easy and left some delicious fresh milk in the fridge. Sadly I had to leave early in the morning but next time I intend to stay long enough to watch the potty calves be fed. Back to the comfort of the room - it was one of the most luxuriously comfortable beds I've ever slept in. The room was clean and spacious with beautiful large windows looking out onto trees. I slept with the curtains open and the dawn light in the morning was lovely to wake up to. The bathroom and shower were also very spacious and the water pressure was Amazing.
- Ruth (10/5): -
- Danny (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caroline (8/5): A great time for a short while, particularly great for kids - Great location, great farm like atmosphere and lovely staff
The rooms are very simple, and a little dated but more than good enough and the adjacent dairy/ cafe, cows, goats and chickens were fabulous
- Anshuman (9/5): Superb -
- Jonathan (8/5): Very good -
- Lynda (8/5): Very good - Staff extremely friendly
Room very clean No air con
- Stamford (10/5): I would stay again - From the check-in with Isabella to the check out all was great customer service wi-fi
- Suzy (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful peaceful area surrounded by farm family, the kids loved feeding the farm animals, the ice cream in cafe was delicious
- Crowe (4/5): could of been better - the room was clean wood of bean great but a same thing the tv turned on but was not connected to an stations
when you hoped in to bed the bed moved across the room wheels on bed need stopers
more tea and coffee in room. as we had a coffee before going to bed which meant there was none for the morning
and when we when for our free one we were left waiting for an hour when popple came in after us and were served quickly
when we whent to get the key to go to the room there was no one to get it.
- Renae (7/5): Good - It was nice and quiet and a new experience The rooms had a stale and rancid smell to it. But other than that it was a nice stop. One night was enough
- Alexandra (7/5): Good -
- Sally (8/5): Fabulous location. Great stay - Loved that it was in the village behind the dairy shop.
Staff were lovely. Room was large. Loved watching the bunnies and the chickens and the rooster from my bedroom window. Surprisingly - very quiet. Had assumed it would be noisy being so close to the main road.
Ice cream was fabulous. The bakery is open from 6am worth a visit if you are leaving early. Would stay here again. Tv didn’t work and it was tiny. Needed a bit dusting. A few cobwebs about.
- Nicholas (8/5): Very good -
- Yolanda (3/5): Very disappointing…Full stop. - The shop was great as were the staff! The rooms are not maintained, in our room the TV didn’t work and was unable to be fixed, the bathroom door was broken and couldn’t be closed, the shower rose was loose and water was shooting up to the ceiling, so we had to tie a hand towel around the leak, the bed was on wheels and slipping everywhere on the hard floor, the floor was gritty with dirt., stains on the blanket that acted as a bedspread. The room rate was overpriced for the quality. The staff couldn’t do enough for us especially Isabel. It could be so lovely if the owner was to spend money to bring the rooms up to the standard they are charging!! Very disappointing.
- Liz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deion (7/5): Great location facilities need upgrading but yummy milk & ice cream and the cheese - The location was great perfect stop over especially if you love the country milk and cheese The TV’s didn’t work and being in the middle of nowhere at a place that doesn’t have Wifi it can get quite boring during the night.
- Gary (5/5): We paid for two nights but decided to leave after one night due to the room feeling so stale. - Very little Very stale smelly room, TV didn’t work, towels smelt like they had been washed in a fried chicken shop. Trims hanging off the entry door.
- Terry (8/5): Convenien location good facilities but could not find any staff on boxing day - There was none, there were no staff so cannot answer this question
- Roslyn (6/5): Nice and clean. Shower pressure good. Mattress comfy. Disappointed considering the cost of the room for the night, very - Clean, in town, mattress was comfortable apart from it being two single beds pushed together so hard ridge in the centre. No milk to make tea or coffee even though there are tea and coffee making facilities. Bathroom door was jammed and didn’t slide. No air conditioning. Hard flooring. TV didn’t work. Waited 20 minutes in a line to pick up key for room then told it might not be clean so had to go and check (it was cleaned… but just a strange way and long way to check in). Way over priced for a very basic room.
- Sandra (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, very quiet, comfortable room.
- J (8/5): Very good - Lovely little place, comfortable and quiet. No hair-dryer in room.
Be aware, the pub across the road, the only place for dinner, is shut on Sunday night. We had to drive to Turros Beach, 15 mins, but had a great meal at the Inn.
- Trent (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful spot, gorgeous area.
The room was amazing,, didn't have to check out until I was ready (late arvo) which was sooo good after a long day of hiking & skydiving.
Cant recommend enough
- Mark (10/5): Far better than expected - Quirky, different, calf feeding. Chooks and a great pub across the road
- Rita (9/5): Superb -
- Jessica (10/5): Great atmosphere, fun and unique stay for animal-lovers! - The staff were amazing!! Loved the farm out the back and the food and coffee. Also the BEST milk I have ever tasted! Make sure you get a couple of little bottles to go! Loved everything- would happily stay again in a heartbeat!
- Ncs (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (10/5): Very unusual, very enjoyable. - If you want an experience different from the regular hotel/motel experience, then this is the place. Set around a working cheese and dairy farm you can see the production facilities. On site ice cream parlour and cheese shop. Calves, goats and chickens on site. Nothing
- Glenn (8/5): Very good -
- Sherryn (8/5): Very good -
- Shonie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Graham (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helene (10/5): Dream holiday - Omg. My daughter absolutely loved our stay. It was incredible. Loved the farm, the animals, the staff and the dairy cafe. The food was amazing. We fell in love with Bodalla and are planning our next trip Nothing. It was perfect
- Stuart (7/5): Good -
- Jennifer (9/5): Lovely place, will stay again - Staff so friendly and helpful. Had a cheese tasting in the shop, and received a free coffee when we left.
- Gavin (10/5): Comfortable and friendly - Fully renovated , bed and pillows were extremely comfortable . The shower was the highlight. Located in a unique location and staff were the friendliest and most accommodating we have encountered.
- Cassandra (7/5): Good - This is an awesome little place. Very quaint and quiet. The staff are amazing, friendly and helpful. We loved the cheese and ice cream tasting the next day... The rooms are dated. Some attempt has already been made to update them, but more needs to be done. We also had to wait over half an hour for our room to be cleaned even though we arrived just before 5pm.
- Shawn (9/5): Superb -
- Terri (8/5): Very good - Comfortable bed, very quiet. The staff was lovely. Complimentary bottle of delicious milk, and 2 coffees for the morning. Our room wasn't cleaned when we arrived at 5pm, but it soon got sorted out.
- Kaitlin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (8/5): Very good -
- Anne-maree (5/5): Nice but housekeeping needs to be improved. - The staff are wonderful and make the trip worthwhile. Security lights are not working and my partner slipped and sprained there ankle
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
