• Anke (10/5): Bush land experience on the fringe of Torquay - This is a little gem set in the bush land just outside of Torquay. A beautiful little property on private land away from the road with a kangaroo family in front of the house. Inside the house is modern and nicely furnished. The spaces are generous. The bedsheets were made from natural cotton or hemp, very comfortable. The host left us some treats for the evening. We loved the place! We struggled to find the entrance to the drive way. Drove past 2x but the third time we spotted the sign.

Bed linen was lovely. We generally do our own food so book accommodation with a full kitchen but this was fine for a couple of days.

• Johnathon (10/5): Fantastic place to relax. - Fantastic place to relax in a country setting away from the hussle and bussle of Torquay in the holiday season, yet close enough to have a daily beach swim. Very spacious well equipped studio. Lots of visits from Kangaroos and other wildlife.
• Deb (10/5): A peaceful escape to withdraw from the crowds in Torquay whilst still being close to commute to. - We found Bellbrae Harvest a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. The studio was perfectly set up with everything we needed for our four day stay and the windows in the slightly elevated bedroom gave the feeling of being in up the canopies of the trees! It was great for watching the plentiful birdlife, kangaroos and the night sky. With only around a 15 minute drive to Torquay, we would strongly recommend it.

We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony and listening to all the birds, as well as relaxing in the huge bath! The only downside was the unusual bedlinen, which felt scratchy to sleep on. It looked nice but we would much prefer regular plain cotton.

No hot plate, no pots/pans, no salad bowls. Nothing to clean bbq with. No info pack. There was rotting food at the back of a shelf. It had been there some time. Had to clean some crockery as not very clean on arrival.

Also the bedroom was on a different level, up several steps which caused a few problems for my wife who has MS.

• Tina (7/5): lovely spot. would come back, but might need to change my Telco provider, to stay in touch with the rest of the world!! - The location, room size, ease of checking in. received a message the morning I checked in on how to find the property. I'm on Optus and there's no phone reception at all and the property doesn't have wi-fi, which was a hassle cos my partner has to work remotely during our stay and I couldn't make calls to my elderly father to check in on him.

• Sarah (10/5): - We found Bellbrae Harvest to have three similar lodges. Our lodgeand was roomy, clean, modern and comfortable and had AC. The lodge was equipped to make light meals. It is somewhat off the main track - a good 10 minute drive from Torquay. There was no Wi-Fi and cell phone reception was dodgy. You will definitely see kangaroos up close in the evening. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. If you are not bothered by the disadvantages, a different place to stay.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Just a wonderful setting - We were looking for a last-minute overnighter while doing business down the coast. There isn't a lot to choose from, so found this by pure accident. But it is superb. Just a great rural setting out the back of Torquay. Well appointed little units with a lovely outlook to a lawn area and pond. A flock of geese provided a pleasant morning hello and kangaroos wandered through in the evening. The restaurant was closed for renovation, but we've eaten there in the past - and it was great. The only regret was that our stay was too brief - but it just means we have to return for a much longer stay.

• ronald (10/5): Beautiful cottage in a very peaceful setting - We were seeking one night's accommodation to complete a week of travelling the Great Ocean Road. We focussed our search on coastal accommodation which at the time of the year was limited. Belbrau Harvest was available but an inland location. We decided to book and delighted that we did so. The cottage, one of three, is set in a peaceful country setting some 5km from Torquay. It was well equipped, modern, with several personal touches which you do not often get in comparable accommodation, for example, a welcome sparkling wine and chocolates in the fridge. The mezzanine floor housed the bedroom and provided an unusual aspect to the accommodation. The cottages were located some distance from the country road in the most delightful, enclosed peaceful setting with a huge pond and kangaroos and geese for neighbours - what a way to relax and unwind following a days driving.
