Guest Reviews
- Barlow (7/5): -
- Dean (8/5): -
- Mel (4/5): Wouldn’t stay again, overpriced & below average in every way. - Location
Bathroom fine. Water pressure below average. Not clean.
Carpet very ordinary, dirty and felt unclean. Gross blankets. Not serviced once in 4 nights.
Felt pretty unsafe due to other guests/permanent ‘residents’
Overpriced for state of it.
- Tim (3/5): Very disappointing - Dirty kitchen, unemptied bin in the toilet, broken fan switch in a bedroom, no light in one bedroom. No water one morning. Pool facilities, tables chairs filthy as well as being dilapidated and unusable.
- Leanne (9/5): Good stay but a lot of tidying uo, mowing needed. The motel seems a little unloved. - Location ideal for onward trip to Sydney. Motel is a little untidy with old desks & chairs ready for the dump sitting around outside rooms. We went to pool to swim but the area was extremely unkempt. Long grass & rubbish lying around inside pool fence. Bit disappointing for a hospitality venue.
- michelle (8/5): Fair accommodation for a fair price for short stays - Close to where we needed to be. The water Preston showed was excellent. Bed was a little hard
- Craig (7/5): -
- karen (1/5): Very disappointed with the motel being so dirty. - Location Lounges were filthy, light in lounge room didn’t work, mould on base of kitchen pantry, chair outside of unit was broken,
- ning (10/5): -
- Layne (10/5): -
- Maria (10/5): - Location was great, easy to find.
- Jody (3/5): Over priced for the quality of accommodation - Spacious self contained unit including washing machine and dryer. Generally feels tired and unkempt. Our observations:
Run down, railing falling off the porch.
Outdated fixtures and soft furniture.
Stained couch.
Stained walls.
Smelly dishwasher and drains.

- Tyler (9/5): -
- Gustava (1/5): - They offered a bottle of water No milk, utensils and crockery were dirty, bathroom had bodily hair everywhere especially in the shower, the noise coming from above the room, the bed head not fixed, only 2 pillows were offered, caravan parked at entrance to room.
- Tracey (2/5): Will not return. - Very old and dated, broken fitting in bathroom. Bed very very hard. Carpet felt dirty.
- Ashley (7/5): -
- Liljeqvist (4/5): Disappointing - Breakfast was advertised in their brochure but was not available. Very annoying
Lights from A//C were flashing all night
- Harry (9/5): -
- Rachel (6/5): -
- Ashek (8/5): - Clean rooms, good location. Nothing specific.
- Marla (9/5): -
- Carol (4/5): Was ‘just’ ok. Staff friendly and available in the office .Very ‘average’ for the price $165. - Location and was available Quite old and bit shabby with average cleanliness
- Jennii (5/5): Disappointed that I booked to stay with them again all confirmed but they ring to cancel mine to accomodate a group book - Room had a bad smell of strong toilet sewage and the toilet lid rim had urine left in it even when the clean tag was used
- Rick293 (8/5): Easy to find and plenty of space. - Location was easy to find on the Highway but noise was not an issue. KFC is next door with Maccas a couple hundred meters down the road. Room was a good size staff were friendly and eager to help, cannot ask for more than that. Also able to park bikes under cover.
- Anh (4/5): - Dirty.
- Donna (7/5): It was nice but expensive for one night - Clean, room was good We were woken up early by a loud noise, maybe a vacuum but not sure.
Someone came in to strip the beds before we had left
- Amanda (9/5): -
- Rolf (7/5): Never again terrible pricing - Great shower There prices go up and down like a yo-yo
I paid $140 the first time I stayed, the second time was $180
Then the last time I tried they wanted $360 for one night
NEVER AGAIN
- Natalia (10/5): Wonderful trip at Muswellbrook ! Thank you - Fantastic stay at this hotel , I enjoyed it . Friendly stuff with great communication and very attentive! Thank you !
I stayed in 2 bedrooms unit , a great value , has everything you would need for a stay when travelling , dishwasher, washing machine , drier , large aircon, comfortable bed and great hot shower ! Will be back and highly recommend this hotel !
- Christine (5/5): -
- Lealyn (1/5): Unpleasant noixe and room to stay - please don’t stay in room 1 - Can’t think of anything good from my experience that night Paid 250 for the night in room #1.
My experience was horrible due to noise from cars in and out of the driveway. main road noise traffic is unbelievable. Constant noise when someone turning their tap on / off, flush their toilets, wash their hands or use their shower.
The room has musty smell . We had to leave early in the morning just to get out of the room. I was told it was the best room in the house when I picked up the key, but It was the opposite. We had to leave early the next morning to get out of the room. Could not sleep at all due to noise.
- Karen (2/5): Disappointing - The motel was easy to find and the grounds were tidy and well kept. The room was uncleaned, the heater didn't work. The staff came to fix the heater the next day and removed the underwear from the curtain, however the bathroom wasn't cleaned and the sheets were not changed. We approached the staff, and it took over a month to get any answers regarding partial refunds for this room. With little children and travelling a long way, this was not the experience we had hoped!

- Andrew (7/5): Good -
- Elissia (7/5): Very friendly helpful service - Value for money, close to everything loved the electric blanket !! The toilet constantly runs needs fixing
- Trevor (9/5): Superb -
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - the until was nice and spacious and had even down to a washer and dryer could do with better parking
- Jeanette (6/5): Disappointing - The rating given by Hotels.com is definitely overrated for this property. The room is in a reasonable condition but the TV is exceptionally small and has a very limited number of channels. The carpet is starting to buckle. The bathrooms are in reasonably bad shape. The tiles have been painted at some stage and the paint is now peeling off. I experienced two cockroaches in the bathroom area overnight.
- Ron (9/5): Superb - comfy, and quiet .couldnt hear the traffic from highway..staff jumped straight on it when i had a problem with tv
- Jody (4/5): Not satisfied. - Broken soap holder. Cracked display on air cond remote, small vanity, small tv.
- Haggart (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mitchell (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sal (4/5): Property needs a lot of love - Location Very old ,tied and not very clean
- Clair (9/5): Friendly, helpful staff, 2bedroom apartment with great facilities and very clean - Great location, staff very friendly and helpful. Loved the pool
- Marnie (9/5): Superb -
- Kerrie (8/5): Very good -
- Margaret (1/5): Poor condition, the room smell of tobacco. There was cigarette burnt holds in the bed cover. - Dirty
- Shelley (3/5): Poor -
- Deb (8/5): Very good -
- Chad (6/5): Pleasant -
- Denise (10/5): - Not there yet so can’t say
- Lawson (1/5): I unpacked car - stayed 10 minutes - packed the car and left for another motel - Had to hunt to find staff
Rubbish bins overflowing with food containers outside rooms
Broken / unseatable chairs outside room
Fridge freezer completely frosted and freezer door broken
Generally uncared for property - although room was reasonably clean
- Ian (8/5): A one night stay - Property easy to find on the Singleton Road. Easy check-in and parking. Overflowing rubbish bins and piled up laundry a bit off putting. Traffic and machinery noise throughout night. Not ideal for light sleepers. Aldi and fast food within walking distance
- Michael (5/5): Could do better with a bit of effort - No towels provided. Dripping shower couldn't fix.
- Chris (8/5): Comfortable stay for an overnight stopover - Clean comfortable reasonably priced room. Good desk to use laptop Right on highway - can be noisy
- Chelsea (10/5): - The negatives: The floors were dirty, our feet were basically black when walking around. Underneath the beds had rubbish and items leftover from previous guests. The lock on the front screen door wouldn’t work. The microwave didn’t work either.
The positives: beds was very comfy. Heaps of blankets, plenty of towels. The fridge and kitchen was very spacious and clean. The staff was very helpful and provided us with some dishwashing liquid and dishwashing tablets as requested. And when we asked for a later check out, the staff was very helpful in allowing us to stay an extra hour till 12.
Overall I would definitely stay here again. It was very close to coles and a service station.
- Chloe (8/5): Very good -
- Corinne (7/5): Good -
- Michelle (10/5): Great stay -
- Craig (2/5): Don’t stay here - Only stayed here as they had the only room available in town on this site. Look elsewhere. Mould in shower, bins hadn’t been emptied before I arrived, stains on bed covers, dirty plates in “clean cupboard”?, noise from highway (bearable if everything else was ok), air conditioning controller was broken so it didn’t work. Nice staff but everything was shit.
- sarah (10/5): - Happy to help out with late checking in.
Come ask if we had a peaceful night.
No one was noisy.
All round a great place and would recommend it to anyone.
- Murray (3/5): Too expensive, room/bathroom outdated - Traffic noise, toilet not working properly, it kept running. Arrived back to motel after dinner, outside signage was not on, we nearly drove past the motel.
Paper thin walls. No one at reception when we arrived. Called the number to be advised keys left under the door mat.
- Kyle (10/5): Exceptional - Really comfortable, clean and quiet
- Mal (4/5): - Inside the unit looked clean enough but on closer inspection there were multiple stains on the bedspread and pillowcases (which were very standard) considering it was supposed to be a Deluxe room. I slept on top of the bed on a towel. The TV remote felt sticky to the touch and wasn't clean at all. The bathroom was very outdated, the bath towels were small, and soap dispensers were empty although complimentary soap was provided. Showers running in other rooms were loud and annoying to have to listen to at 5.30am. I have stayed at this motel years ago and it was really good, but I have heard it has just changed owners. Don't recommend at all especially for the price.
- Joseph (3/5): Poor - Was a large area with loads of beds Noise from other people in adjoining room above and road noise.
- Obaro (7/5): Good -
- Donna (6/5): - Staff on reception were nice, helpful.
Bed linen clean, beds comfortable but overall place could have been cleaner. Lounge chair in our room was filthy, chairs outside broken, full ashtray on our verandah. Some Workers staying at property inconsiderate regarding noise of vehicles
- Megan (8/5): Great for a short overnight stay. - Easy access. No fuss check in or out. Exactly what you expect of a small town motel. We didn’t use the pool as it was cool weather. We did have to drive to local shops and restaurants but it wasn’t a huge distance.
- Ginnie (8/5): Value for money - Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. If you are a light sleeper the road noise may bother you. It didn’t bother us though.
- Kellie (8/5): I enjoyed staying here - The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy
- Lynette (8/5): Very comfortable room with great facilities in a good location - The room is a good size with updated bathroom and great bed with electric blanket! The floor is carpeted which is a bonus in winter. There is a new air conditioner and great LG TV. The location is good, and our room was very quiet. Would have like a tea towel and a cloth to wipe around the sink.
- Edward (10/5): Clean, comfortable, friendly staff. What more do you need? -
- Jennifer (7/5): Good - It as close to centre if Muswellbrook.
Reasonable value for money. Road noise, bed too soft
- Leah (8/5): Affordable stop close to highway - Everything worked. Clean.
- Wendy (8/5): Very good -
- Linda (6/5): Pleasant - Beds were comfortable Lights weren’t working near T V
- Jenny (4/5): Wouldn’t stay again - Bedding and toweling looked dirty/stained. Doona needed washing. Recommend getting rid of the cockroach cans from view.
- Jennifer (6/5): Ok for the price we paid - Close to centre of Musselbrook Road noise
- Greg (4/5): Disappointing -
- Anthony (9/5): Superb -
- Kerrie (8/5): Very good -
- Jane (8/5): A stop over whilst on our way to Queensland, not much to do in Muswellbrook. - The room was large, there was a lounge to watch tv, good bathroom, it was quiet and warm as the weather was cold and wet outside The bed was hard for our liking and our friends were woken up early on a Sunday morning by someone working on the room next to them.
- Ross (10/5): - Perfect for us for one night as we where road tripping and needed a last minute over night stay with queen size be.
- Ron (8/5): Very good - staff very friendly and helpful.
- Trish (3/5): UNSAFE DO NOT STAY HERE! - On arrival it looked really nice, but that was about the only good thing about our stay. Soon found out that appearances are deceptive. Traffic noise was ridiculous! Originally booked a 3bed apartment but had a phone call saying it was under renovation. Which turned out to be a bare faced lie as the apartment was occupied. We were given 2 separate rooms and the children had to sleep in the same room as their parents. The state of the rooms were dirty, in particular the bathrooms. A domestic violence incident in the parking lot forced my daughter to call the police and as there was no staff on site she called them too.
No apologies or discount were offered to us.
- Michael (4/5): Shower mouldy - Location was great but the shower had so much mould I could not shower. The bed was hard but sheets were clean and it’s a quite location
- Tim (8/5): Very good -
