Guest Reviews
- Alex (10/5): - Nice
- Bevan (10/5): - A hidden gem in the forest surrounded by lush vegetation. Very relaxing and we enjoyed our stay.
- Ben (10/5): - Beautiful peaceful property
- Jordan (8/5): Must Visit Songbirds - Most amazing rainforest resort, however the service form the amazing staff just blew us away. This is a next level place to visit. Enjoy !!
- Anthony (8/5): - Food in the restaurant was awesome!!!!!
- Kelly (8/5): - The staff were lovely and very accommodating. Our unit was very clean and comfortable. Being in nature was just perfect. I really liked the resort concept and with some money invested, I think it would be amazing. Parts of the grounds are in need of repair, our spa only partially worked. The Nespresso maker was broken and overall the resort and grounds are in need of an upgrade.
The food at the restaurant was excellent. I had the prawn pasta and it was divine. I feel that the menu could benefit by offering some less expensive, smaller entrees so we could try more items. Overall we really did enjoy the stay as was a perfect spot to unwind and listen to the birds and other wildlife.
- Lisa (8/5): - We loved the stay, and the location was so peaceful and quiet. Although it seemed remote everything we needed was close by, a short drive. No WiFi (but maybe I didn't read the info properly when I booked :)) but we were able to hotspot so no biggy.
- Lisa (10/5): - This place is amazing, a little oasis. I loved the trees and the amount of wildlife. I got to sit on the balcony during the day and watch the birds at play and then fall asleep at night listening to the chorus of frogs! The chef in the restaurant is passionate about her food and it shows in the quality of the meals. I will definitley be back again!
- Katie (10/5): - Beautiful place to stay. Amazing view from your room. Restaurant is delicious
- Dan (8/5): - It was very quite
- Sonya (10/5): - Such a beautiful relaxing spot. The sounds of the birds and the rainfall were fabulous. My kind of rainforest getaway.
- Diana (8/5): Relaxing Getaway - Great getaway in a nice villa with lush greenery. Villa is comfortable with nice setup and the bonus of a balcony and spa bath. Cleanliness in the wardrobe can be better and perhaps the brooms and dust pan can be stored away from the bathrobes.
- Roslyn (10/5): - Absolutely beautiful đ we had such a wonderful and Relaxing time
- Ian (8/5): - Beautiful forested location. Excellent food. Nice rooms.
- Aika (10/5): amazing - A very amazing hotel.. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at! If want to stay in a natural place, this is the place!
- Chad (10/5): - Was a great relaxing night. Just what we needed on our 20th anniversary
- Daniel (10/5): - Love the peacefulness of the rainforest, & a spa with that as a backdrop is awesome, wasnât our first visit, & wonât be our last. đ
- Brendan (8/5): - Cannon and location beautiful, cleanliness with towels and blankets etc⌠pretty disgusting, a lot of stains that looked unusual left on a lot of these things that you dried yourself with and slept in, made it few uncomfortable
- Janelle (8/5): - Very quiet and restfull.
- Mark (10/5): Week away - Peaceful, Tranquil refreshing break. Great place and position.
- Brenndon (10/5): - Set in the middle of a tropical rain forest.
These cottages will not disappoint.
Tranquil and peaceful surroundings.
The perfect getaway from the hum and drum of the city life.
By far the best cottages i have had the privilege of experiencing.
- Algy (10/5): - Very secluded and cosy.
- Kellie (8/5): - Unfortunately we only stayed one night. We arrived late and had to leave early the next day. The sounds of the birds in the morning was spectacular and having a hot spa bath early the next morning was just what we needed.
- Philippa (8/5): - A beautiful quiet and secluded rainforest retreat. Spacious, well appointed, comfortable chalets. Wishing you a speedy recovery from the effects of COVID and looking forward to a future stay.
- Jason (10/5): - Lovely stay, miss the restaurant. much prefer wood fire than gas but understand why.
- Heather (10/5): - Absolutely loved our overnight stay with a hot spa on the deck. Cost fireplace. Comfortable cabin. Beautiful scenery and lots of wildlife. Highly recommend it. We will be back.
- Graham (10/5): - Was so good
- Daniel (10/5): - It was a very cute quiet place so peaceful
- Chris (8/5): - Peaceful. Convenient drive for walks, shopping, dining.
Not the best for longer stays ie. 5 nights, not all want to eat out 3 times a day. Needs at least a Bbq or stovetop, extra plates/cutlery, dish drainer, something to light the candles/fire with, a bottom sheet that doesnât pull out/off,
- Adam (10/5): - Beautiful place with amazing gardens and animals. Will be back for sure!
- Dominic (10/5): - We have a wonderfully relaxing time in a beautiful environment. A great getaway from everyday life in a secluded and scenic area of the world. Highly recommended. We plan to return.
- Mark (10/5): - Song birds was great. Lots of wild life near our cabin, a nice big spa, fireplace and loved the heated towel rack
A shame there restaurant is closed as it was brilliant when I went years ago
- Jonathan (10/5): - Lovely, quiet and secluded - I look forward to when their restaurant opens again
- Lauren (10/5): - A very relaxing stay
- Asmita (8/5): - Good
- Christopher (10/5): - Absolutely gorgeous. Will be back again!
- Donna (10/5): - A great place for a romantic getaway.
- Jesse-Leigh (10/5): - Absolutely loved the peaceful feeling here. Relaxing and secluded, it was a perfect stay. Great sized room, bed was comfy.
- Chris (8/5): - Great 2 night stay, very quiet and beautiful setting.
- Sarah (10/5): - Beautiful and clean loves the outdoors spa
- Shaye (10/5): - The villa was adorable and cosy, and the surrounding property was absolutely beautiful. Everything was perfect. So peaceful. Staff were lovely and helpful. This will be the place we stay from now on. Highly recommend.
- Lisa (10/5): - Excellent place
- Ann (4/5): - In need of renovation. Villa was very rundown, broken cupboard doors, broken floor tiles in bathroom. Filthy sofa! Unsafe gas heater. Grounds around villas had walking tracks which we were encouraged to use, but were blocked off because of storm damage to trees.
- Tryg (10/5): - Lovely coupleâs retreat
- Diana (6/5): Overpriced and full of wasp nests - The cabin definitely needs to get rid of the many wasp nests all over the place. Hubby got bit the moment he walked in. I personally felt it was overpriced for a tiny cabin when you can get a lot more for cheaper at springbrook mountain cabins.
- Brenden (6/5): - The resort has seen better days with the public areas needing some care and maintenance. The rooms themselves are fine, our two bedroom cabin was spacious with a big spa bath and a fireplace. You are staying in the rainforest so plenty of bugs around, I recommend bringing some mosquito repellant.
- Tim (8/5): - Located in a beautiful rainforest setting. The villa was very quiet and relaxing. Very close to all the attractions of Mt Tambourine. Definately not 5 star as advertised, Is old and outdated. The window and blinds in the bathroom were mouldy. We had dinner at the restaurant and although the food was amazing it was very overpriced especially since the service was so bad. The young girl's were not attentive to the tables and spent most the time sitting down on their phones. Not the kind of service you expect when you are paying top dollar.
- Rene (10/5): - Tranquil and quiet. Stunning scenery! Beautiful accomodation. Will not disappoint!
- michele (8/5): tranquility - very peaceful
- Vanessa (10/5): - Beautiful location in the rainforest. Clean and welcoming. So relaxing to wake up and fall asleep to the sounds of the rainforest. We stayed for one night but would love to stay for more. We will be back.
- Maxine (10/5): - Such a peaceful place with amazing staff. The check out process was the easiest I've ever had.
- Lucas (10/5): - Spectacular place and room
- Lorelle (10/5): - It was sooooo quiet. We have more bird noise in Labrador. Loved the peacock, the food at the restaurant, the cabin.
We weren't that impressed with the breakfast.
Thank you we had a nice quiet retreat.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was great
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The property was very dated . The room wasnât very clean lots of dust on everything. The reception area was hard to find and was extremely run down.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The landscape was wonderful and it was nice and quiet
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A beautiful secluded property yet close to all the local sites and restaurants
- Lana (8/5): - Lovely, relaxing place to stay. Absolutely beautiful bathtub and bed. A few small things that need a bit of upkeep (some cobwebs, mould around ceilings etc) but will definitely be back again to escape the city and find some tranquility!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The villa was gorgeous, clean and very private! The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Will be back soon!
- Mandy (4/5): - Property is very dated and dirty. No facilities open no staff contact other than a message reception was closing early.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Tranquil private escape - Super easy after hours checkin.
Walked into the villa with the fire going & relaxing music playing in the background. It was perfect.
Restaurants are 5 min drive down the mountain. Hiking trails & Skywalk are all within 10 mins.
Perfect for couples wanting to escape.
- James (10/5): heaven on 40 min from Brisbane - What an amazing place
Highly recommend this place for couples
6 beautiful maintained huts only , and nothing around you but peace and quite.
The spar bath and fireplace sensational as was the service when we arrived. Only 40 min from Brisbane this place is a must.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Didn't appear to have been cleaned recently - there were a couple of dead flies and dust on all surfaces. The property maintenance was lacking. We arranged a massage for the following morning and received a confirmation email but then the masseus didn't show and when we asked on checkout they said they were waiting on a confirmation from us to go ahead - though the email had clearly stated they were confirming the massage. They also said they tried to call us that morning but we had no missed calls or messages and they couldn't even apologise about it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - the accommodation was perfect.
there was only 2 think I like to mention
The music player not worked
and the bigger concern was the very poor or no internet connection.
All over experience was excellent
.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely location. Felt in the midst of rainforest, while being very near great tourist attractions such as Tamborine Mountain and the Skywalk. Loved our hike to Waterfall.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The setting was lovely, the room was very nice, there was some mould in the shower and the bathroom was dated
It is quite over priced for what you are getting to be honest
The degustation was very disappointing, one of the courses was literally bicarb soda dissolved in vinegar and passed of as 'aspirin" as a palett cleanser, so I would definitely not recommend that part of the visit.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very private secluded. Felt at one with nature. Very clean. Relaxing environment to be in.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved the peace and quite , the sound of nature and the tranquility
- Andrew (10/5): - Was blown away by how welcoming the staff was on arrival, they really made you feel like home. The cleanliness of the villa puts any place we have stayed in before to shame. The best place I have stayed in and will definitely be going back and have already recommended it to all my family and friends.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property was amazing and a lot bigger and extravagant than I expected it would be. The staff were very friendly and it was really special to hear about their future plans with it. The move towards sustainability was nice to hear and enjoyed walking through the gardens and grounds.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The internet/wifi was shocking, we couldn't get any signal.
The view was lovely
The property policy was if a customer leaves anything behind, they wait until the customer contacts them, they do not contact the customer! Shocking policy for such an expensive property. Even more shocking is the fact that one of the items we left behind never turned up, despite all 3 items being left in the same place together.
- Andrew (8/5): Fantastic if they sort the little details - Fantastic Location, Fantastic property but let down by a few aspects.
Dishwasher had been left full of dirty plates, that had obviously been sat for a number of day's as they stunk. Bedding in one of the rooms had be soiled by some form of local reptile so housekeeping hadn't checked very well.
Reported issues with hotel reception on checking out (Only booked a 1 night stay) but never received any response despite being promised this would happen.
The location is fantastic & with a little more care to the small details could be a fantastic place to stay, the noise of the wildlife was amazing as was the sense of total isolation.
I've left well over a month for a response from the Hotel before posting this to allow time for them to respond
- Gail (6/5): Bad service - Accomodation was great but service was bad first they upgraded my room which wasnât a upgrade when I rung to ask about upgrade and I wanted the room I booked because of bigger soa I was told she would check about spa and get back to me she didnât get back to me so I thought it was sorted when I arrived the room was still the upgrade rung reception they moved us to original room I booked then also rung before the holiday to book a massage was told 12 noon I rung to change it to 2pm she said she will confirm with me if it was a problem she never got back to me it was booked for Sunday I rung reception Sunday morning I wS told my massage was booked for 12 which meant we had to change our lunch plans then we waited until 12.30 then rung reception to be told our booking was 2 then half way through out massage room service turned up ruined our massage so service was very poor not even an apology for the whole weekend if being mucked around. Accomodation is very beautiful could not fault the room or the retreat but definetly will not return will go to another retreat on my Tamborine
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful villa... great facilities in our room!
Confusing on how to check in / access villa!
Reception and restaurant closed for renovation, which canât be helped!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Quiet and peaceful location room was fantastic friendly staff awesome choice of local restaurants
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The most perfect rainforest setting that feels completely secluded. One of the most relaxing places I have had the pleasure of staying at.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Incredible location in the rainforest. Very secluded and private.
