• Larisa (2/5): - Room was NOTHING like the picture. Advertised with restaurant and bar & price included breakfast. Upon enquiring about the restaurant hours, we were notified that the restaurant was not operational, and the bar license had lapsed. After enquiring about breakfast as it was included in the price, a makeshift station was set up with a toaster, microwave with some cereal, toast & juice offered. Ceiling was falling in around the fireplace in the "games room" where the pool table had seen better days. The air hockey machine was broken, and other entertainment was turned off. The reception area was disgusting. Lights not working and stuff everywhere. Unfortunately, the whole complex has not progressed from when we stayed 20 years ago due lack of maintenance. The condition of the premises reflected on the number of residences staying. The AC struggled to keep the room warm and on full force, drowned out the noise of the leaking toilet. Towels were hung on the windows to keep the cold out. Apart from all the negatives above, the room was clean. Very disappointing stay and won't be returning.

• 965MarkS (6/5): Basic Motel, Not a Resort - The name of this motel is very misleading as it's far from being a "resort". It's a bit sad really as I stayed here a number of years ago and it was a good quality motel. However, it's now looking a bit unkempt and the bar and restaurant don't appear to be operating. Even though it's quite a large property, there were very few guests that night. This is surprising as the Snow Goose Hotel up the road was fairly busy with a number of Snowy 2.0 staff appearing to be staying there. Adaminaby itself is a town that has lost many of its amenities and I suspect the Snowy Mountains Resort and Function Centre reflects the fact that most people aren't staying in this town nowadays. The room itself was OK and clean, although a bit tired. If your looking for somewhere basic to stay overnight then by all means do so. Just don't expect anything too flash.

Room was very small, only the bed to sit on and nowhere to hang up a jacket. No major complaints though. You get what you pay for and I was happy enough to stay for one night. Might be better in the snow season.

• Mark (10/5): 2 nights at Adaminaby - Great air conditioning on an extremely hot day. Excellent shower with wonderful water pressure, crispy, clean sheets, and a comfortable bed. Very clean, with a lovely lady who greeted us and was very friendly and informative . We met her again when we were leaving as she was cleaning the rooms and she was very cheerful and kind. Face towels would have been handy and maybe some repairs on flyscreens as we wanted to open the windows, once it cooled down and turn off air-conditioning, but the flies and mozzies would have come in.

No cutlery, just paper cups but no spoons and minimal cheap tea and coffee, no microwave. Lights on outside, all night made it difficult to sleep.
• Brittany (3/5): It was ok to sleep there for one night - Good location can walk to the pub and an easy to drive to Selwyn. Kids loved the bunk beds. Heating worked well and beds were good. The room was clean, however, the shower only drizzled in the morning so we couldn’t shower. The main area was a bit strange with adult gym equipment near kids area. We ended up leaving after one night as Selwyn closed early for the season and there was no need to stay there. There was no utensils in the common area or cooking facilities. I didn’t like the chair at the front of the place it made the place look cheap for a “resort”

• Sanjana (1/5): Worst place to stay for a holiday!!! - The location is far from snowy mountain 1.23 hours, whatever is advertised you wont find there!!! It says restaurant, bar and pool, should also say its permanently closed, no proper fireplace and very dirty surroundings. Its like the whole place is under construction everything broken... very dirty i must say. Only 1 restaurant nearby and the wait time is more than 1 hour dont even think about taking kids to this place, broken n dirty rooms!!!

• Samantha (2/5): - On arrival I went to reception to check in the lovely lady there upgraded us from a standard family room to a superior family room. I was happy at her generosity, until we walked into our room! If this was a superior room, id hate to see what the standard room looked like! You walk in the door and your basically in the bathroom but also where the fridge is. Then there was a lounge with a queen bed and 3.other single beds. The queen bed felt like it was missing half the springs and the ones that were left stabbed you almost to death all night, the sigles not much better you just sunk into the middle of them unable to move. The whole room was dirty and smelt horrid. The carpets were filthy. One aircon that blew hot air but by the time it reached you the air was frozen and made a horrible broken fan noise and there where no extra blankets! Our third child that we paid extra for didnt even get a towel! The shower still had someones left over soap, the toilet was uncleaned. There was no restaurant or bar as advertised, the pool was filled in to now be a garden, rubbish all over the property. The $2 advertised laundry became $10. And the kicker was we couldnt even speak to anyone about our problems as we were the only guests reception was shut and the facility was unattended! Never ever will we stay in this hell hole again, run for the hills this place is an absolute dump and far from the resort it was advertised to be!
• Verified traveler (4/5): - Hotel doesnt look anything like the pictures online inside. There was blood stains on our mattress base. The shower was horrible. No pressure and would go from a set temp to boiling hot. You couldnt add cold water and it would turn into a dribble.

There was also no cold water coming out of the taps to brush our teeth in the morning. The shower and sink still had hair in each of them from the previous person staying…we won’t be staying at this so called resort again which is a shame.

• Lee (1/5): THE WORST SHOWERS IN ALL OF AUSTRALIA. DO NOT STAY HERE. - Close to Selwyn snow fields. My expectations were low for a 3-star resort, so I am willing to look past the uncomfortable bed, and gaping 7mm hole around the door letting in drafts. The real issue, though, was the shower situation. After returning from the ski fields, and again in the morning, there was no running water at all, we couldn't shower, brush our teeth or even flush the toilet. When the shower did function, the water was scalding hot with no cold water available, extremely dangerous. When staff were asked about the water, the answer was "it is what it is". This was far from acceptable.

There was no electricity we had to stay in dark with little kids, using our phone light. no hot water and were told to wait to have shower as everyone can’t use the water at the same time.couldn’t make tea or coffee, coffee was all expired in Feb 2024. In our room the heater was not working. Very bad experience and will never recommend anyone. We would like to get refund for this.

They don’t have any plans in plans to provide consistent message to the guests. They were checking wth owners for next steps and they lock and close the reception instead of guest rooms did not have electricity/ heating.

• Megan (5/5): Good night’s sleep, but needs a spruce up to provide better value for money. - The room was clean and the location was convenient for our stay. The discount for dinner at the Bowling Club was a nice perk, and the included Wi-Fi was a great touch! The Snowy Mountains are a fantastic place to visit, but there’s an issue with the cost of food and accommodation. Many businesses charge high prices, even when their product or service doesn’t meet expectations. For our short trip, the accommodation was convenient but overpriced for the quality. At over $350 per night, you’d expect more than just a fair standard. While the accommodation was clean, there were some shortcomings. Extra blankets and bedding were needed as there were no electric blankets. The room had a tired feel with mismatched furniture, and the bunk beds didn’t have doonas—we had to ask for extra blankets. The vertical blinds didn’t keep the warmth in, and the bathroom was freezing without a heater. Small touches like a toaster and proper mugs (not just paper cups) would have been nice. The reception staff were lovely, and we were upgraded to a larger room, which was appreciated. Despite these issues, we knew the accommodation wasn’t 5-star and still had a good night’s sleep. However, the Snowy Mountains area needs to reassess its pricing to ensure visitors feel they’re getting value for their money.
• Jenny (10/5): Exceptional - Rooms were good size, clean. Sitting by the fire in the dining room, excellent games room. Bowling club 2 mins down the road , snow goose hotel great food, great bakery and only 45min drive to Selwyn snow fields.
• Estelle (8/5): - After a big day at the snow was nice to come to room that didnt smell and had very clean room and linen. photos on website were modern and didnt match rooms but room was spacious. Tv worked without issues. Games room only had 2 out of 4 working (no pool or ice hockey) and would have been nice to have big fireplace on, especially given its winter. But overall a nice stay..
• Mgarg (4/5): There is so much potential to the property but the property management is not customer focused. - There was no electricity at the property for one day and night (20th and 21rst July 2024) of our stay. it was for most of the property. no heating, no lights, no WiFi. and the property management team asked the families to get electricians, if we want. with small kids, it was a nightmare. at checkout, they made sure no one was present at the reception to answer questions on refunds. we had to leave the keys in bowl kept at the reception. when we asked for refund for the day and night without electricity, they said, it was the council's fault so they cannot be blamed for it. and offered a 10% discount on our next stay.
• Rebecca (3/5): Adequate for 1 night, but has some issues. - The room is a decent size for 4 people with its own patio. The heater was good & kept us warm all night. The room has everything you need in it. The lights went out soon after we arrived & did not come back on before we left. We had no power to the wall sockets so we couldn’t charge any of our devices overnight. The main building was cold & uninviting so we didn’t use the games room. The restaurant was not open for dinner or breakfast which meant we had to go & find it elsewhere at 8pm. There was paint peeling off the ceiling & some tiles missing in the bathroom.
• Harmandeep (2/5): - No electricity whole night they couldn’t fix it stayed awake whole night with three kids crying Can’t even milk bottle for little one because of electricity there’s no hot water Terrible experience first time experienced it in Australia No one even picking up phone at reception We were on our own in that situation .
• Daniel (8/5): Clean and comfortable accommodation - Clean, comfortable accommodation for a family going to Selwyn snow resort (only 50 mins down the road) Facilities were a bit dated
• Clare (8/5): Very good - The water pressure was a bit hit and miss. We asked the reception staff about this. Apparently it is a town thing not just the resort.

• Rebecca (6/5): Pleasant - Fantastic location to Mount Selwyn. The receptionist was really friendly, easy to check in and express check out. Great size family room with comfortable beds. Parking is right outside the door of the room. Highly recommend the Bakery 1min up the road for coffee and breakfast. Room 25 and 26 had no cold water when we tried to shower it was only boiling hot water (far too hot to shower) and when we tried to wash our hands there was no water at all coming out (zero pressure not even a trickle). My father in law notified reception and they said it was a known issue in the town. The bowling club is really close and is recommended with brochures to advertise to eat at for breakfast and dinner however the food took a very long time to come out 1hr 30min wait on food if you've got young kids be prepared.
• Jacelle (4/5): It was OK. - Split system worked well and beds were fine. Location was good- close to bowling club and pub so had places for dinner No cold water so showers were scolding hot - apparently a water pressure issue, it definitely needs attention. There is no restaurant at the accommodation as advertised on signage, place is run down- a little attention could make this place great.
• Sally (8/5): - Comfortable stay with a warm retro vibe. Kids loved the games room and the fire in the lounge area was lovely. Property is in need of a face lift but that is perhaps part of the charm and right for the price. Manager was friendly and very helpful.
• Michael (6/5): - While the room was spacious, the fold out sofa bed was not required so I folded it up. The carpet beneath was filthy with pieces of food - popcorn, dry noodles - and fluff. Obviously had not been cleaned since the last occupant. While I understand the exorbitant prices are necessary for a shorter season, at least spend that money on adequate cleaning. I would not recommend, nor will I return.

Dining & Games room closed for the season. Pool is filled in with dirt and weeds, One staff member in complex who was in a room and not reception area, was nice enough. Rooms / bedding nothing like pics. We cleaned ??? of the wall next to a bed.

• Smith (8/5): Very good - Very comfortable. When we arrived they didn't have my booking through Booking.com. We did get a room but this was the first time it has happened but would not like it to happen again.
• Verified traveler (6/5): - A very run down property and none of the communal areas were operating. No safety chain on the room door. Lady who worked there was nice. Ok for price I suppose but it did feel dodgy.

I did swap beds as the curtains did not close fully and there were some large lights of big trucks going by. There was kettle and tea/sugar, but no cups or glasses to drink out of. Pointless providing kettle if nothing to drink out of. Restaurant closed.

• Louise (6/5): - In a great location for access to exploring the Snowy Mountains. Rooms and property facilities are due for some maintenace and updating. Nice and quite venue and friendly staff.
• Ash (5/5): Ok for a family stopover, don't expect facilities to be open - Room and bed were clean and good for a family stopover with enough space for 4 of us. Advertised as a bar and restaurant with facilities, these were all closed and looked like not an option anyway. Suggest the advertising needs updating to reflect so that people are not expecting the use. Very run down place, but was expected.

• Andrew (9/5): Perfect stopover on a Snowy Mountains trip - Location was great for where we were going, although our timing meant nothing local was open! There's plenty of parking space and the room was great. It's an older style place but very clean and in good condition. No complaints - although it's worth checking what will be open in the area in case it's worth stopping at Cooma on the way.

• Michael (7/5): Not up to standard but easily fixed - Good location, comfortable beds, hot shower. There was no soap in the dispenser in the shower. Only two towels were provided (for three people). Clearly the room was not checked and prepared for us. Very few power points but we were able to make do. We've stayed here on a number of previous occasions without any issues.
• Mic (8/5): Clean, comfortable rooms and good value for money despite of no pool, restaurant or bar. - The room was large and clean. Comfortable queen bed, a large TV and a powerful split system aircon. The property is run down and not well maintained. With the lack of a ski season at Mt Selwyn the last few years, you might empathise. But with the influx of Snowy 2.0 workers, Adaminaby is doing well. The Restaurant and Bar are advertised as Facilities, but they have been closed for some time. Also, there was a sewerage smell in the bathroom, which required me to keep the door shut and block the sink and shower inlets.

• Lee (5/5): In town for a family related event. The motel served its purpose and was cheaper than the hotel. - On line credit card fees? Really? Saved some money and booked through Booking.com for same room rate with no fees. Suggest you do the same 😊 No longer does any meals. Only one staff member on site to handle reception, cleaning, gardening (huge lawn areas) and customer service issues. Seems that the owners are minimising costs to maximise profits and it's showing in the overall appearance of the property.
