• Jacqueline (5/5): Going back in time - They had a washing machine and dryer,to share with the room next door, which was very convenient They rooms are very outdated,the finish to the room was poor! The toilet although new where not bolted to the floor! The towels were new but they need a few washes with a clothes softener, they felt like sand paper. I also found the road noice annoying.

The whole atmosphere was warm and friendly and we felt very much at home. I would recommend Platypus Park Country Retreat to everyone. I would certainly go back. A total little gem.
• Jan (5/5): Very mediocre - Location was nice. Cleanliness, there is mold in the shower. Dirty windows. Dirty dishes in the cupboard, we had to wash them before using. No flywire on a window, hence blowflies could get in until we realised. Just generally grubby.

Grandson got electric shock from unmarked/unsigned electric fence. Dead rabbits lying around the grounds. Bbq was very dirty. Looks like little maintenance is done on this property. Check in was not welcoming as it should be.

• Graham (9/5): A peaceful place to slow down and enjoy the surroundings. Great host and good, clean accommodation. - Good breakfast provisions. Loved the peaceful farm outlook, a great place to slow down and relax. Gina was really helpful and informative, and Sofie (the dog) was a great companion on our walks around the property. We stayed in the Wattle Suite, which although not new, was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space. We would happily stay again. Oh yes. Beautiful sunsets and reflections on the farm ponds right in front of the unit. And of course cows over the fence. Bridport is a nice little town too, with some nice walks-Gina can tell you about those. Be aware that the location is close to the main road, so during the day there is a bit of truck noise, but none at night. It didn't detract from our enjoyment of the place. As we were at the end of the accommodation, the wifi didn't always connect-a few steps onto the lawn solved that issue. Also be aware that this unit doesn't have a full kitchen (fridge/microwave/kettle/toaster/ etc supplied. Not a biggie, but something to note.
