- Pannee (8/5): On Your Own in Randwick - The hotel was tastefully renovated especially downstairs. There's no guests' lounge but a public area for guests and the public alike for relaxing, working, drinking or having a meal. Location is central with a lot of restaurants nearby. Free parking is a bonus. My room has no window. The bed is comfortable but too big for the room. The end of the bed is too close to the tv and that's a health and safety problem. The room was not attended to at all during my stay.

The room was clean and comfortable and looked to be recently renovated, staff were very friendly and helpful and location was very handy.

Det var umulig å komme seg inn til resepsjonsområdet, jeg forsøkte å banke på døren lenge og forsøkte også å ringe resepsjonen uten å få svar. Gikk tilslutt ut bakdøren. En natt gikk strømmen på rommet og jeg hadde ikke strøm til aircondition heller ikke til lading av mobil/pc, til hårføner etc.

- VIVEK (10/5): It was quite nice and comfortable. - It was 3-4 minutes walking from Randwick L2 line and overlooked a small park. Very clean. Excellent restaurant and great staff. Very close to UNSW. Lots of eateries around while in-house restaurant and bar is great as well. Room could have been bit bigger for the 250 odd charged. No breakfast option

- Christopher (7/5): Very well appointed for a pub stay, but it's still a pub stay. - Very cost-effective, quick and easy check in and check out. Good, convenient location for the racecourse. Bed was saggy in the middle, TV was low quality and very hard to see with lights on (even after adjusting the picture settings, etc.). Stairs only, no lift. There's a fair amount of noise coming up from the beer garden below, but not so much that I couldn't sleep. The nearest overnight parking is a reasonable walk away and quite expensive (unless you can find street parking nearby).

- Carolina (3/5): Unsettling night - It was very clean and the bed was comfortable It had very thin walls so I was waking up constantly once I got to sleep, I went to bed at 9pm and got freaked out woken up by someone trying to enter forcefully into my room 😳 after 3 times calling, reception finally answered my calls and the guy first said someone with dementia lived there, and that he was going to sort it out, again two more times someone tried to enter my room, I had to get really angry on the phone to reception, then the guy said there were 6y/o kids doing this. He then had to come and sit in front of my room who knows for how long for this to stop, I had the worse night and I went for a business trip. The receptionist didn’t seem very helpful and I was awake until 12:30am and woke up multiple times because of these outside noises. As I am a female visiting alone the experience made me feel unsafe.

There was only a small bar of soap provided. A liquid soap would be a nice addition. The aircon wasn’t working when we arrived, but the friendly receptionist sorted it out for us.

Air conditioning kept turning off and it was quite a warm night so found this a little frustrating. Asked for a cot and this was not in our room ready. Had to ask reception, then had trouble putting up the cot.

- Jeff (9/5): Nice and comfortable room with good helpful staff - The staff were very friendly and efficient. The room was of a good size and looked clean and fresh. There was a comfortable small desk and reading nook in the room with a desk that allowed work to be done. The room was quiet, with no noise coming from the pub below (not that there was much noise down there either.) A small problem was the TV in the room did not appear to have terrestrial TV stations. It appeared to only have LG TV Streaming Channels. Not that there is much on terrestrial TV, but it is better for background noise than the LG Channels.

- CATHARYN (9/5): Perfect for POW hospital . - The hotel/ pub, was well above expectations. They have kept the old world charm of the upstairs area whilst including modern amenities. The areas I utilised were all clean and maintained to a high level. Definitely stay again, for next hospital visit. Perfect location for POW hospital. I was a little overwhelmed with the downstairs noise level, though couldn’t hear it upstairs in the accomodation area.
