- Hetha (8/5): Good - Spa - had to google how to use! Water wasn't hot enough!
Step hand rails outside felt unsafe
Left early (4am) as wasn't comfortable for 2 sisters to sleep in same bed lol
- 706AndrewP (8/5): Basic, comfortable budget accommodation - I notice that the reviews for Navigators are at least five years old, others considerably more. If there's a restaurant, I didn't see it. It's reasonably priced, the bed is comfortable and it's clean, but totally basic. It's certainly showing its age. There's a microwave, a kettle, but no toaster, which I missed for breakfast. The five downstairs rooms all look into the undercroft, which can be seen in the photo, so zero view, and quite dark. Reception is rarely open that I observed. You collect your key from a safebox with a code that is sent to you. It's efficient, but at arrival feels very dark and dead with no one around. I don't know if the first floor rooms have much of a view of the bay as there are two other hotels in the way.
The manager (I think that's who he was) is friendly and chatty when I bumped into him twice, but please don't smoke in the undercroft. It was also unfortunate that on my last morning, a waste effluent truck arrived at 8 am to presumably pump out a septic tank. Extremely loud, and a strong sewerage smell crept in as I finished breakfast. It has to be done, but perhaps wait until the guests have left for the day?
If you're here for work or just passing through for one night, and on a budget, then Navigators is perfectly fine. If you're a couple or family wanting a warm environment with a view, look elsewhere.
- Christie (8/5): Basic hotel but value for money. - Convenient location & reasonably priced. Whilst an exceptionally basic hotel, it was very well supplied with two packets of biscuits, plenty of tea, coffee and sugar, small milk cartons and chilled water in the fridge. The bathroom was spacious and had a very hot shower with good pressure. The security. Room only had a chain slide lock and a push-button door lock. This needs improvement to make guests safer.
- Elese (10/5): - Nice big room, spa bath, good views. Clean.
- Adam (8/5): Very good -
- Mcginley (8/5): Very good -
- Tibor (10/5): worth the visit - the host was super friendly and helpful and clean ,the daily house keeping was exceptional, a very enjoyable place good location as well
- Sandy (7/5): Good -
- Jill (5/5): Passable -
- Jennifer (5/5): Very disappointed in the quality of the room for cost - Room was clean-ish Property is extremely old and rundown with damaged carpet, tiles, flooring and lack of updating or maintenance
- Maria (9/5): Superb -
- Paez (10/5): Exceptional - Good
- Max (2/5): - It looks nothings like the picture, no natural light(no windows) except a small sky light
- Ernest (4/5): - Nothing
- Adrienne (6/5): - Good location out of town but not too far if you have a car. Access to walking track along the coast.
- Beryl (10/5): - Beautiful view
- Joanne (6/5): - Big room and was clean, a bid dated. Very strange not to have any windows in the room so no natural light
- Barnett (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lynda (8/5): It was a pleasant stay - Cost
- Stephen (10/5): Excellent location, lovely views, beautiful quiet setting, comfortable inside, helpful staff. - Excellent location, lovely views, beautiful quiet setting, comfortable inside. The spa was really nice. The staff attended to our needs very well. Would suggest that the fly screen door be made lockable to allow some fresh air into the place whilst keeping it secure.
- Julia (6/5): - Convenient and cheap. Room service disruptive in mornings though. Otherwise enjoyed our stay.
- Brenton (8/5): Very good -
- Niel (10/5): Exceptional - The location for me was fantastic, as I traveled there for work and I was driving a truck, plenty of room in the area to park.
- Julie (8/5): - The property is very budget friendly. While it is dated and pretty basic, it is very clean and the rooms are well maintained and I have rated it highly on this basis. I didn't understand that an internal room actually meant one without a window, and luckily there was another available that the owner was able to move us to, which had a view. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. I would stay again.
- Julie (8/5): Good place to stay for a few nights. - It was quite spacious and comfortable but a bit tired. We had a nice view of the sea and the spa bath was good. Even though no reception and it’s key box entry, the owners are there in the morning checking you have everything you need. It’s about a 15 min walk to the centre of town and has a corner shop opposite for any quick snacks and drinks. Room 11 is at top of stairs and people passing can look straight in to see you. A curtain would be nice for a bit of privacy.
- Paul (7/5): Good -
- Szabolcs (5/5): Fair price good location - Easy access and check in, short walk into the town. Very loud
- Patel (8/5): Very good -
- Merzeen (9/5): Superb - Very good plenty of room very comfortable Very clean and what ever we need for there
- Barry (8/5): Very good -
- Iris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (8/5): - Didn’t like outside steps. Safety rails needed in shower over spa
Shower had great water pressure, beds were comfy
- Trevlyn (10/5): Great! -
- Randall (9/5): Superb -
- Roy (5/5): Would not recommend. - Close to town. The property needs a bit of work to modernise it . In the three days we stayed there we never saw a staff member and read in the compendium not to drink from the taps in the unit but to use the water tank outside, unfortunately that water smelled as if was connected to the sewer and when we contacted the manager we did not get a reply.
- Wilhelmina (3/5): Stay was very average - Fine location it didn’t have breakfast just coffee and tea supplied which was fine The motel could do with a big maintenance upgrade
- Bernadette (5/5): Passable -
- Veronica (10/5): - the hospitality and the friendship from the owners are above satisfactory.
- Sydney (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ann (9/5): Superb -
