Guest Reviews
- Danny (10/5): - Great tents very well setup. Clean and good amenity and excellent camp kitchen.
- Kathleen (10/5): - All the property was unique cosy comfortable homely welcoming we thoroughly enjoyed our visit & found it difficult to leave - many thanks Ali & Clayton !!!!
- Colleen (10/5): Stunning! - One of the highlights of many wonderful highlights of our trip to Tasmania. Very warm and friendly welcome, gorgeous glamping with everything you could possibly want and stunning surrounds. Already planning our trip back!
- Darren (10/5): - Clean and quiet
- Sara (10/5): - Great little cabin. The kitchen supplies were basic. There is a two element cooktop and you can’t fit two large pans on the stove top at the same time. The bunks are short but fine for young children or adults of average height. A great base to explore the west coast from. Clean with friendly and helpful owners.
- stephen (10/5): - Amazing communication with the owner and they are purely empathetic. Called that morning as there was a delay in arrival times and went above and behind to accommodate with my son and I. Park is easy to navigate and beautiful.
- Joan (8/5): - Stayed in a cabin which suited us fine. We wanted a location between Queenstown and Cradle Mountain. It was a bit cosy for 3 adults but most of the time we were hiking or seeing the local sights.
- Leigh (10/5): - Such a beautiful property and so well maintained by the owners. Beautiful presentation of everything, accommodation, grounds, kitchens and amenities. Lovely to deal with and really enjoyed staying in the glamping tents. Highly recommend.
- Heather (8/5): - Enjoyable
- Chris (10/5): - The property was really maintained. They thought of everything within the accommodation. The staff were super friendly and helpful.
- Conrad (10/5): - Very friendly and helpful staff at reception. Very thoughtful attention to comfort of guests doing glamping-type stays. Property clean and very well maintained. Amenities easy to access. Glampers' dining and common room is very well set up for cooking and relaxation. Easy access to town centre by car or on foot.
- Narapati (10/5): - Excellent

- Sue (8/5): - Very happy with my time in Zeehan
- Tania (10/5): - Great experience and location. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone wishing to stay in the area.
- Deep (10/5): - It was blissful
- Monique (10/5): - Cute little place to stay in nature.
- Jay (10/5): Perfect 👌 - Not a bad word to say about this place.
The host was great and walked me over to our glamping tent, and explained everything thoroughly. Toilets and showers were spotless. The location is amazing. Each tent gets their own fridge and open fire. The whole experience was absolutely amazing. We wish we’d stayed longer and will DEFINITELY be back.
- Deb (10/5): - The personal touches & how friendly & helpful the owners were!! Exactly what we needed!!😊
- Don (8/5): - The property is very nice and well run. I only stayed for 1night so didn’t get to check out the storage/cooking area but noticed many others did. I would recommend this property to others!
- Antony (10/5): - Property was clean, we stayed in a luxury tent and owners went above and beyond to make us feel more than comfortable. They thought about every little detail- heater, heated blankets, usb ports for chargers, rechargeable light, wood for the campfire... Toilets and showers were clean, kitchen was well equipped and clean. I would happily go back.
- Prashaanth (10/5): - The Glamping tents satisfied us in all aspects, had a great time during our stay.
- Nicky (10/5): - We had a wonderful time! This was the ultimate glamping experience! With the campfire to sit around at night and a well-stocked camp kitchen that included a great coffee machine and kids games, you couldn’t ask for anything else. The marshmallows upon arrival were a lovely touch!
- santosh (10/5): - Nice and quiet
Went there on off season so was super quiet
- kathryn (10/5): - So lovely! My daughter didn’t appreciate the spiders!!
Lovely accommodation and amazing hosts. Thank you again!
- Lynda (10/5): - Friendly and helpful staff
- Bruce (8/5): - It was a good stopping point from Launceston. Quiet location
- Ian (10/5): - The tent was beautifully appointed, beds even with electric blankets! The open fire option with wood and firefighters, and comfy chairs around the fire pit, such a lovely surprise and the marshmallows to roast a real treat.
The whole property was immaculately kept and the bush setting perfect.
- Elayne (10/5): - Had everything required of our stay and was so clean - friendly hosts too
- Lukshan (10/5): - Clean cabin with all the amenities. Friendly staff. Recommend !!
- Thomas (8/5): Good value for money - We spent 4 nights at the bush camp using it as a base for visits around the area. We were in the cabins which are basic, but well-equipped and surprisingly comfortable. There are bbq facilities and we also made a small camp-fire - all very cozy. Not luxurious but has the basic things and offers very good value for money.
- amanda (10/5): - We were met with a friendly smile. Everything was provided for a comfortable stay from electric blankets right down to marshmallows for the individual campfire. Even a coffee machine. We had a relaxing afternoon looking out to the bush from our reclining chairs in our tent. So peaceful
- Aleksandra (10/5): Neat little gem - Lovely place! The cabin was neat and tidy, had a full kitchen with all utensils and appliances. Super friendly and helpful concierge. Really recommend!
- Perdita (8/5): - Nice quiet location. Bedroom was a bit chilly as only the living area was heated but the electric blanket helped enough equipment to cook dinner.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Mini stopover - Nice quaint cabin in the middle of the bush. It had glamping spots but didn’t get to try it. Cabin is clean and complete with kitchen utensils with a bunk bed separate from the main room. Accommodation is close to a few hikes around the area.
- Pamela (10/5): - Excellent amenities staff friendly unique experience
Loved the added touch of marshmallows to roast over fire.
- Robyn (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay at Zeehan Bush Camp.
Would recommend it as a lovely place to stay.
- Maxeen (10/5): - Plush tent and fittings, private campfire, excellent host service, enjoyable mix of modern, nature and rustic. Well worth the stay and recommend to all
- Ashley (6/5): - Like most things in Zeehan, the cabin was unfortunately quite run down and not very clean from the previous occupants and things are in poor shape. In the midst of a Covid pandemic, the need to clean the shower, plates and cooking utensils before use was surprising. Only 91 unleaded and diesel is available in the town, so if you drive a car needing premium fuel you are out of luck and facing a 44 kilometre (one way) drive just to get it. The campsites seem ok, and having only recently reopened I’m sure things will progressively improve over time.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place to stay - Excellent place to visit, lots of fun and great staff.
- David (10/5): A Fabulous stay - The Zeehan Bush Camp was fabulous. Our cabin was clean, tidy and had everything we needed.
It was also great value.
Thank you to the managers.
- Shadab (10/5): - What an amazing experience to our very first glamping and I am glad that we chose Zeehan bush Camp. I can definitely say there was some serious thought process went behind the whole setup which made our experience so memorable. Every minute necessity were taken care of for customer like bug spray, bug resistant lotion, board games, kids book.. ( list goes on :) ). Keep up the good work guys. can’t wait to visit again
- Vicki (10/5): - A beautiful bush setting. Quiet and relaxing time. Lots of birds and a lovely campfire at night. Our first experience at glamping and really enjoyed our time. Bathroom facilities are compact but clean
- Terene (6/5): - Cabins in a little need of some TLC.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We booked a cabin for our family of 4, late check in was easy, our cabin was ready with the lights and heater going which was fantastic for 2 tired little travelers (3 & 6yo) on a cold, rainy, Tassie night.
- Chris (10/5): Fantastic 10/10. - Can't recommend highly enough. First time 'glamping' so wasn't sure what to expect. Exceeded expectations. Spacious rooms, comfortable warm beds, excellent kitchen facilities. Camp fire with wood supplied. And friendly knowledgeable staff. Great value also.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The reception was perfect and it is quite and clean place to stay. I got best night of sleep in there
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The glamping tents were an amazing experience we enjoyed it very much. Everything was well thoughtout and supplied for the fire and mozzie repellent ect it was good to turn up and juat enjoy the relaxation
- Michael (8/5): Great base to explore the West Coast - There isn’t much left in Zeehan but it’s a great gateway to the area and it’s wilderness. Zeehan Bush Camps seems to be the best and nicest option around.
We were in one of their glamping tents which was extremely comfortable. Given the rain we had it was also very waterproof. The tent had great beds and was tastefully decorated. Also came with all the trapping for a campfire including marshmallows.
The bathrooms were close by and functional but if I had to pick a fault the showers were small. We didn’t encounter any noise from neighbouring campsites as they were spaced to be private.
It also included access to a camp kitchen which included a private fridge per tent.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and clearly care about the place.
And yes, despite the remoteness, full 4G mobile and wifi onsite.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Glamping with everything you could think of. They have thought about all the small details, including marshmallows for the camp fire, to make the stay perfect! Real coffee in the glampers lounge, personal fridge in the camp kitchen to keep things cold, lights, heaters, electric blankets, torch etc. All amenities are well thought out.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Comfy Stay in Zeehan - Had a very enjoyable stay in one of the cabins. Ali was very helpful and knowledgeable with the area and gave plenty of recommendations for things to do and places of interest to visit. Cabin was comfortable and had enough amenities for cooking and laundry. Perfect stay to get to Strahan, Queenstown, Rosebery or Cradle Mountain.
- David (10/5): - Wonderful experience - it was great to sit around the camp fire!
- Richie (10/5): - Great Glamping experience. Really well setup comfortable and warm tent. Shared facilities are pretty basic but they were spotless.
- Louise (10/5): - Great spot clean and tidy . Would stay there again .
- Samuel (8/5): Recommended - nice cabin to stay
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved our tent. facilities were all everyone would need. Highly reccomend
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Property was beautifully maintained, amenities were very clean, and the owners were incredibly polite and helpful. Our little glamping tent was absolutely stunning, and all our needs were completely catered for. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone
- Tim (10/5): - A very welcoming stay and a great location to explore the surrounds! The communal area was very cosy with the shared kitchen, to notch!
- mary (8/5): - It was a modular building with complete kitchen, bedroom and bath, along with bunk beds, in a campground. Very clean. Friendly owners.
- Lee (8/5): - Nice little cabin in quiet environment. The park surroundings was nice and the bright stars at night were lovely! The owner was very kind to turn on the heater before our arrival so that we were nice and warm. Wifi was down unfortunately and the bunk beds were a little dusty and cramped. We had a rusty kettle but the owner quickly replaced a new one for us.
- mwae (10/5): - Very friendly and helpful staff and the cabin had everything necessary including shampoo, towels and linen. You won't need anything except your own food for cooking. The setting of this site is lovely and just about 3 min drive to the main road. Highly recommended.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice functional cabin in a beautiful setting. Staff were amazingly helpful and friendly.
- Kim (6/5): Tired area - Stayed four nights which was more than enough to visit the area.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The wifi didn't reach the unit... the kids had to stand outside near the car to upload any games or movies for the next days long car trip to Burnie via the West coast road to Arthur River and then Stanley.
We arrived late in the arvy and then after a quick break, cooked dinner and went for a drive to the glow worms (informed by the lovely staff at check-in). Then home for showers and bed. Didn't seem much else apart from the communal BBQ and Lounge area but I much preferred the unit.
- Jean-luc (8/5): - Quiet place. The bunks dors not really fit for adults
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was welcoming, warm with air con turned on well before i turned up.
- Wesley (6/5): Decent for overnight stay but a few problem areas - Large cabin, clean. Very friendly staff. Comfortable. Heating worked great.
Problems:
Cable tv was totally unwatchable. It kept cutting in and out constantly.
Wifi available, but after watching half a Netflix video, stopped working completely. Couldn’t even use it to browse.
Parking lot and driveway was horrible. Lots of huge potholes. Needs to be repaired.
- Claudia (10/5): lovely spot, really quiet - The staff were lovely and the room was cosy, I had no issues at all!
- Kaz (10/5): Rustic "homestay" - Great value stay in a gorgeous vintage cabin. Very cosy & great friendly staff.
- Jacobus (10/5): Nice relaxing camping in the "outback" of Tassie. - Very interesting experience - surprisingly again how wrong first impressions can be when viewing the camp from outside. Very friendly staff in very comfortable facilities. Can only recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing camping area away from noise and other distractions.
- Melissa (8/5): - Great advice on what to see and do in local area
- Verified traveler (8/5): Quiet spot - Cabin old fashioned, but spotlessly clean.
TV, Aircon included for the great price
Lovely quiet spot nestled in a bush setting.
Office reeked of dog, not my thing
Town wasn't much, but a good cheap alternative to overpriced Strahan.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great accommodation in a very quite town - Wanted to experience the west coast, but sadly the mining down turn is making these small towns into ghost towns.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good - The cabin was comfortable and clean Reception staff very helpful. Just workers leaving early in the morning a bit noisy on way out
- Adam (6/5): Family friendly, comfortable and different - Alley greeted us with a warm smile and we enjoyed following her advice to check out the glow worms. Family friendly bush camp. The Bush kitchen was nice to cook up our bacon and eggs. Cabins are basic but clean and warm and has everything you need to feel at home. We had fun.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - nice comfortable cabin
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very basic accomodation with facilities as advertised. Suited us well as a stop over spot while touring by car. Appropriately priced. Very helpful and friendly staff.
