- steven (8/5): - Beautiful old building,nice surroundings
Enjoyed our stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Gorgeous old building with elegant furnishings and a comfortable bed. A touch of luxury!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Fantastic historical site. You are free to explore this grand old building and the beautiful gardens.
The food is great. It is a pity the restaurant was not open when we were there as (if the breakfast was anything to go by) it would have been awesome.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Delightfully restored historic building in beautiful gardens. Rooms are larger and beautiful with comfortable bed and good bathroom. Great breakfast and friendly host. Lovely walks in vicinity and close to town
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The Euroa Butter Factory was the Australian version of “Escape to the Chateau” It was so good to stay at something uniquely Australian. Jillian was a charming hostess and we could’nt find fault with anything. Definitely would recommend it. We will visit again.
- Angèle (10/5): - Unique, inviting and beautifully presented and comfortable. Excellent hospitality and great food.
- Anthony (10/5): Wonderful - Our hosts went out of their way to accommodate us just when the covid19 virus was hitting hard. They even made sure we had something to eat when all the normal outlets were closed (and their food was wonderful). The building was amazing as well!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We really enjoyed our short stay at this incredible location, its much more than a B&B.
- Carl (10/5): Euroa Butter Factory highly recommended - Lovely room, fantastic hosts, quiet location, beautiful gardens, breakfast available
- Verified traveler (10/5): - loved the unique architecture and the conversion of the old butter factory into a hotel. the rooms are very spacious and loved the relaxed atmosphere of sitting in the dinning room with a wood fire burning.
- Robyn (10/5): - Peaceful friendly environment with loads of character.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The house and garden was beautiful. The coffee in the morning was delicious! And service was first class
- Steven (10/5): Great Stay, Great Service, Eventful Departure - The Euroa Butter Factory was great! We very much enjoyed every aspect of the stay. We did encounter one single issue at checkout. The card reader machine did not work appropriately and the young clerk could not get it working. In the absence of the owner, we were forced to leave our credit card info written down on paper and go on about our trip due to time constraints. I am NOT comfortable doing that and trust that the staff destroyed my information properly after finally entering it for payment.
- Drew (10/5): - Very luxurious room, big shower, beautiful gardens and great history of this 120 year old building. Great place for a weekend away. Perfect in every sense.
- steve (10/5): - lovely old charm and good garden.very much a weekend job where by you can travel around and use hotel to base
- Robert (10/5): 2nd time and great again! - Our second time here and it wont be our last. Terrific place with great rooms and beautiful gardens. Highly recommended. New owners coming at the end of 2018 - hope they keep up the high standards.
- Ruth (8/5): - We had a most enjoyable stay at the Euroa Butter Factory. Being 127 years old the building is really interesting. The rooms are big, clean and comfortable. Joel was most friendly and welcoming. When we got up in the morning, he had the fire lit and when we arrived back after touring, the fire was always well alight. Very cosy. Would recommend it as somewhere unique to stay.
- Malcolm (10/5): Great stay. - Have stayed here a few times. Beautiful. Near town and eateries. Very comfortable and quiet. The old factory is a nice and different place to stay. Well stay here again. Recommend to other travelers.
- Pip (4/5): Lots of potential but missing some of the basics. - The Euroa Butter Factory looked impressive from ourside, inside it was nicely decorated but was cold and bit dark. No electric blankets on the beds, no heating at all in bathroom and had a small mirror. The bathroom door was extremely hard to close and made a dtradfull noise. The lounge area was cold the heater was i adequate for the area.
The place had heaps of potential but lacked the basic necessity of warm .
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We found the Euroa Butter Factory a lovely experience, our son was being married close by and it was very convenient.
All the staff were more than friendly. We look forward to staying again.
- Terry (10/5): - It could not have been better... the attention to detail and friendliness of the staff made our stay outstandingly enjoyable and relaxing. We will definitely be back!
- Verified traveler (10/5): loved the stay - loved the stay, quite, lovely and comfortable and great facilities
- MD (10/5): - Beautiful old butter factory with lots of original details. Emily was a great host, very hospitable. A really unique stay.
- Petronella (10/5): - What a lovely experience this was. We loved everything about this place. Greeted with a warm handshake and lovely smile. Great accommodation which included a hearty breakfast. The building itself and surrounds, just amazing, Am recommending this place to everyone. Loved it, a unique experience.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely building and friendly hotel
- Tony (10/5): Quiet and comfortable - 5 star in the bush - A quiet and comfortable stay - ideal for travellers - everything was supplied and the staff most obliging and knowlegable about the town and district. Unexpected luxury in a rural town.
- Damien (10/5): Reminiscence at it's finest ! - My wife and I had the fortune of staying here unfortunately for one night only. The main reason for choosing the Butter Factory was to be able to walk back in time experiencing a foregone era and indeed our expectations were immensely exceeded. The money paid for us was worth the experience itself. Being immersed within this historic building allows one to dream and reflect on all that has eventuated before you. Just such a magical place and the hospitality second to none. We want to return for another special occasion as this beautiful place justifies worthy occasions. Thank you so much for making my wife's birthday a most memorable and valued one.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A pleasant rural oasis. - My wife and I found the Euroa Butter Factory to be a relaxing experience from the very instant the staff introduced themselves. To stay here is to travel back in time, yet still have all the modern comforts.
I would recommend the Euroa Butter Factory to anyone who appreciates being taken back in time to experience traditional architecture and country hospitality.
- Sandy (10/5): Absolutely Awesome - We have travelled extensively with our most recent road trip being the Great Ocean Road, Port Ferry, Ballarat, Bendigo and Geelong - the Euroa Butter Factory by far exceeded our expectations and rated a 10 in our books - WE WILL RETURN!!! Thanks Joel - you are exceptional!!!
Kindest Regards,
Sandy & David
- Verified traveler (10/5): Hidden gem full of history and comfort - Was pleasantly surprised to stay at such a beautiful place - the grounds keeper was very welcoming. The gardens are just beautiful. Wish we stayed longer.
- Robert (10/5): Fantastic renovation to boutique B&B - This place is amazingly good - even better than its reviews suggest (which never happens!).
Fantastic renovation of the old factory while retaining its past charm. Great and expansive rooms, quiet locations with great walking tracks into town. Beautiful gardens too.
- Traveller (8/5): Beautiful place - Enjoyed our overnight stay here in Euroa for our golf trip. We recommend the Euroa Golf Course too.
- joanne (10/5): Beautiful historic building - We stayed one night in this beautiful historic building. Tastefully renovated with excellent staff and very welcoming. It would be a great place to stay with a group and enjoy the spacious common areas. Would definitely stay again.
- Julie (8/5): Butter factory - Lovely room and interesting building..bed very comfortable..was disappointed the advertised restaurant and bar was no longer functioning..this should be taken off the information page ..as we were looking forward to eating there
- Verified traveler (10/5): A local gem. - Very good stay. First time in the area. Accommodation was first class.
- Mary (10/5): Excellent accom, wonderful welcome, 5 star quality - A beautiful location, quality accomodation, fabulous staff. What a gem. Highly recommend and will return. Lovely friendly staff who provided a warm welcome and tips on local places to visit.
- Barbara (10/5): Country getaway - Beautifully restored building with lovely grounds, on the edge of town. We had the tower room, which provided comfortable accommodation. Be aware that this room involves lots of stairs for access - something to consider for elderly patrons. Excellent bed linen and towels. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was modern, and the communal lounge area was very pleasant. A small fridge was a welcome addition. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the recommendation for the Seven Creeks Hotel was spot on. Continental breakfast was lovely, and a bargain! We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to others.
- Alison (10/5): A wonderful mini break away! - The Euroa Butter Factory was a wonderful place to stay. The building is filled with character. The staff were so very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious - although massive compared to what we usually have!! Thank you to all for a lovely 2 night stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautifully restored, wonderful linen and bathroom - An unexpected delight! The building and gardens are gorgeous. Linen was high quality and breakfast was the BEST I've had anywhere.
- Frank (8/5): Overnighter on way to Murray - Overnight stay on way to Mulwala. Great little place really well converted. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Chef cooked up some terrific food up with the best.
- Barry (10/5): Serene and charming - Charming and comfortable yet historic and tastefully refurbished butter factory from years gone by
- Verified traveler (10/5): Cream of the Crop in Euroa - We came across Euroa Butter Factory quite by accident. We booked our room on the day so we had put the poor manager in a bit of a pickle. He quickly put our room together and offered us a wine by the fire whilst we waited. The room is very comfortable and the guest lounge is enormous! I could envisage a group get together or small wedding group having a wonderful time here. Our continental breakfast - included in our tariff - was very impressive. Not just fruit, but fruit straight from the garden, pickled in delicious syrup and the best home-made croissant I have ever tasted! Local coffee was divine as well. Thank you to Luke and his assistants for making us very welcome.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Beautiful.. But uncomfortable - Such s stunning place to stay and the staff were very accomodating.
However the bed needs to be upgraded.. This was as hard as a rock and almost impossible to sleep in.
The shower also needs attention, it acts more like a steam room rather than a shower...
Some serious attention to detail is needed for the things of comfort before I would stay here again.
- Dianna (10/5): Quiet leafy lovely - Warm welcome, our room ticked all the boxes with view of formal garden, bed divine and spotless bathroom ...... would have liked to have stayed longer... continental breakfast best ever.... a wonderful place to rest and recharge
- erica and Peter (10/5): Gourmet Paradise - What an amazing place, facilities, staff, gourmet breakfast, with real coffee! And what an absolutely beautiful place, words can't describe the eauty of the butter factory inside and outside. The chef was amazing as was our chats with the gardener! We will be back soon!
- steve (10/5): Hidden gem - Lovely and quiet, beautiful grounds and room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. I would recommend to anyone. Staff very welcoming and friendly.
- Geoff and K.A (10/5): Great setting, beautiful grounds, lovely building - This was a wonderful place to stay. It is a true country treasure. We can really recommend the 'Bath Room'. It was a pleasant surprise to find that we had a room with a tub to soak in and unwind after a full day driving. The building and the grounds have so much character- it really is a lovely place and we wished we could have spent more time relaxing in these surroundings.
- Veronica (10/5): Beautiful getaway - Friendly staff as soon as we arrived, lovely environment and facilities. Perfect weekend getaway. Will stay here again! Many thanks..
- Ron (10/5): Back In time. - Just wanted relax and chill and do nothing for two days, was able to do so with no bother.
Michale showed me around on arrival, this included the honesty system at the bar.
The fire place was always stocked morning and night, Michale had a great knowledge
of the history of the butter factory and was good for a chat when you wanted one.
Thanks for a relaxing two days.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Had a great stay, nice and cosy by the fire with a glass of wine.
