Guest Reviews
- Iain (10/5): - All aspects were good. Friendly staff, aircon good. Parking adequate.
- Michael (10/5): - All good
- 790lilyj (10/5): Short and sweet Riverland getaway - A short getaway to a pretty Riverland town. Great venue for the AFL grand final with lovely sunset views, good variety dinner menu and a night in the newly renovated motel rooms on site. Not too far, but a pleasant world away from the city.
Looking forward to returning over summer.
- Jean (10/5): - Easy check in and check out.
- Kathy (10/5): - Lovely room, comfortable King bed.
Friendly staff
- Barry (8/5): - We stayed in the Waikerie Hotel and were looked after well. It was quiet, close to shops and very convenient. One dining envening had to wait in line 28 minutes to give meal order - only one person serving here against two bar staff not that busy. Hotel's failure to quickly adapt to customer needs was very apparent - need to do better. Meal itself was really great.
- Barry (8/5): - All good.
Good value
- Carolyn (8/5): - N/a
- Paige (6/5): - Rooms are super clean, however you can hear the noise from either adjoining or below rooms.
Meal was good except it was taken to the wrong table and left there with no apology.
- margo (10/5): - Friendly town, well placed to wander around and check out the street art and cliff walk. Definitely revist
- Kevin (10/5): - Easy check in.
Room was great.
- Cynthia (8/5): - The room was comfotable, the bed very good and comfy, but although there was a coffee machine, there was nothing to heat up milk to make a latte. It would be good to have a microwave in each room for various options. Some very loud talking laughy people woke us at 3am, dont know which room. The food in restaurant was very good as was the service.
- MaxD859 (10/5): Excellent restaurant and comfortable accommodation - The highlight was the meal - Lamb Shanks were superb ! Staff were great too and a good selection of drinks plus a great outlook
Rooms are comfortable and quiet . Not big but absolutely fine .
Well placed for tourism too

- Julie (8/5): - Great room with comfy bed. Downside is no breakfast available even though advertised as breakfast available.
- Elizabeth (8/5): Wonderful Waikerie - The Hotel was clean and comfortable with friendly staff. Service was very good at mealtimes. Great location with excellent facilities for BBQ on the riverfront just a short distance from the hotel.
- Garry_and_Lai (10/5): Highly recommend the dining. - We ordered two main meals – calamari (salt and pepper) and lamb shanks.
Both meals were exceptionally good.
The lamb shank was quite large and filled the plate and cooked to perfection. It was based upon some mashed potato and carrots which augmented the dish perfectly.
The meat was extremely tender, and there was plenty of meat on the bone – unlike some others I’ve had recently where the amount of actual meat on the bone was not great.
The environment was clean fresh welcoming and everybody was having a terrific experience.
The calamari was tender and the salt and pepper seasoning delicious.
The chips which accompanied the calamari were well cooked crisp and most enjoyable.
- Jonasa (10/5): - it was just peaceful and the lovely staffs were just so friendly and easy to communicate with .

- Sarah (8/5): Great spot - Lovely location right in town, accommodation was simple but had everything we needed, great to have the bistro and bar with a lovely outdoor area.
- Chris (10/5): Modern - Modern comfortable
- Ian (10/5): Overall excellent stay - Our hotel king suite was excellent. Very modern, comfy bed and well appointed. The only slight issue was the drainage of the rainfall shower head in the shower. Had to build a ‘levy bank’ with a spare towel so the water wouldn’t flood the bathroom….
- Jill (10/5): - Our stay was very enjoyable. Meal was great (Grilled Barramundi & Rump) Only issue was the heavy (hard to open) bathroom door & trying to work out when the exhaust fan was operating
- Darryl (10/5): - The room is clean and the furnishing are of the highest standard.
Foxtel is provided, mini bar is very well stocked.
- Pauline (10/5): - Value and modern facilities. View of the river from our room. Excellent menu choices.
- Timothy (10/5): - Rooms recently renovated. Attached to the big club. Service not exactly like a family business, a bit officious, but they accommodated a special request I had with ease, so very happy.
- Gaye (8/5): - Great location and facilities.
- Joseph (8/5): - Good
- Tania (10/5): - Was easy to find in the dark . Very clean . Staff very friendly and very accomodating to our needs
- Jan (10/5): - Hreat value and convenience
- Benjamin (10/5): - What we needed, central in the town. Great onsite bar and restaurant. Supermarkets walking distance
- Emma (10/5): - Absolutely amazing really comfortable and the bathroom was fenominal. The only thing than slightly bothered me about the stay was the sound proofing. I get that that may be a tough one to fix but im pretty sure the room next to me had the TV on low and i could still hear every word. Luckily the pillows were so amazing that it fixed that no problems haha. But seriously, amazing place to stay.
- Maggie (10/5): - Excellent location in heart of Waikerie. Room very clean, daily cleaning . Staff friendly and meals very tasty
- Patricia (10/5): - Beautiful hotel no complaints at all very clean
- Patrick (10/5): - Staff always cheerful and ever helpful - and patient
- Sharon (10/5): - Cost effective. Don’t judge a book by its cover! Very modern refurbishment inside. Comfortable bedding. Everything was spotless. New bathroom. Great hot water. Excellent access to the hotel Dining area. Easy parking outside room.
- Mike (8/5): - All good
Great access to town and river
- P1950PEjohns (2/5): Terrible food - I ordered the butter chicken, it was delivered cold, the bread didn't arrive with meal, the salad didn't any dressing We are local and were here six months ago and again were delivered a cold meal, they took it away and reheated it in the microwave...chips and all, it was disgusting! No real apology offered. Lots of other complaints made this night too.
Save your money and go elsewhere, i cannot recommend an enjoyable meal at this establishment.
- Jeanette (8/5): Family Christmas stay - Christmas stayover.
Location good for my needs. Having a hotel in a hot area, a pool would be excellent, but it doesn't.
Cleanliness needs checking. Lots of dust buildup in areas. Bed very comfy.
- norm (8/5): - Restaurant not open for breakfast
- Susan (10/5): - Excellent room and service, would definitely come back again
- Margaret (6/5): - Very hot in the room, air conditioning wasn’t on when we arrived in 39 degrees. Too much light coming in to sleep at night. Exhaust fan in bathroom didn’t seem to be working that well.
- Aaron (10/5): - Nice staff, but the dining was all counter service which dilutes the experience.
- Will (8/5): - Good
- Jennifer (8/5): - Lovely little town with clifftop walk. Basic motel room but well maintained.
- Regina (10/5): - Comfortable bed and great shower. Nice touch to provide Nespresso machine with pods and milk. Supermarket close by.
- Darren (8/5): - nice clean/modern room
- Craig (10/5): - Excellent value for money
- Margaret (10/5): - Clean comfortable spacious room in the heart of town
- dale (10/5): - room good food good service good

Nothing to dislike at Waikerie hotel and motel.
- Therese (10/5): - The staff are always welcoming and friendly
- Helen (8/5): - It was in a ideal place for us.Easy to find.
- Greg (10/5): - Great location
- Sam (8/5): - Good
- Barbara (8/5): - Well priced and good restaurant in the hotel
- Louise (8/5): - Great location, comfortable rooms, nice meals.
The cleaners didn’t empty the rubbish bins in the bathroom from the previous guests, an oversight on their part but not pleasant.
Would stay again 😊
- Neil (6/5): - Although the property was good one particular thing about the bar person at 17.00. She was rude and abrupt, brought starter and main out at the same time and when I said the main would be cold. She walked off and said I cannot do everything. Simple initiative would be to stop the chef cooking both at the same time and put the main on a heater lamp until I was ready. Other than that the hotel was good, check staff great and cleaners excellent. It takes one poor staff member to let the team down.
- Carol (8/5): - The room was good. The new bathroom was lovely. Great shower. The bed was comfy and warm. We were initially worried that the split level heater wasn't working but the room did eventually warm up beautifully.
- Andrew (10/5): - I don’t like this questionaire you are wasting my time
- Alan (10/5): - Great location in the town with everything at yr doorstep.
- Stephen (8/5): - Very convenient location. We were in at 11pm & out at 8am each day so it was basically a bed and shower but very quiet and plenty of parking. Did what we were looking for above our expectations. The only time we saw staff was checking in but that didn’t really matter.
Our booking was lost but rectified without too much fuss
- Carole (8/5): - Everything worked well. I feared it might be noisy with the attached hotel, but I didn’t hear a thing.
- Sharne (10/5): - Really liked the fact that we only had to go a few steps to be able to dine, especially after a long day travelling.
- Suzanne (10/5): - Liked the new renovations.
Definately stay again.
- philip (8/5): OK but needs an upgrade - We were in one of the older units which needed updating. Everything was provided but the room was tired, bed uncomfortable and room cramped
- Thomas (10/5): - I liked everything about the motel clean and comfortable accommodation great staff service and I would like to thank Melanie at the reception for her great help and she went out of her way to assist me with a private matter.Thank you Melanie.
- karen (6/5): - Booked room based on spa in pictures of double suite but they only have one room with a spa.would have booked the newer king room if we’d known we didn’t have a spa
- Rachel (10/5): - Great place to stay rooms are very lovely and modern inside
- David (6/5): - .
- Gavin (8/5): - Very good experience
- Janet (10/5): - Clean room. Comfortable beds and great rain shower.
