- Gerard (8/5): old but ok! - The Frimley Lodge is an older motel with limited facilities, eg. luggage had to be placed on the floor, one single worn out chair only The Frimley has a pool though. The motel is on a main road, there is some traffic noise . Otherwise not a bad place to stay !

We were very grateful for the room as it was the last one available in that part of the city, seeing it was a public holiday weekend. However the room we experienced was not what we saw pictured on line - obviously a photo-shop job. The actual room was clean on the surfaces but dirty in the corners. Light shades were dirty. The bathroom window sill was rotten at both ends. There was no shower curtain. There was no tea towel to wipe dry the dishes - we were there for an evening meal and breakfast.. Overall, it was a very tired unit needing some loving attention.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I liked my stay at Frimley motel, it was relaxing. Room was nice, beds were comfortable. The extra fans provided in the rooms were wonderful as it was a very hot night. Only thing I would suggest would be information booklets in the rooms, for how to use tv, phone etc. also something to let us know that the pool is quiet deep. My kids got a bit of a fright when they couldn’t touch the bottom.

Unfortunately we were located next to the pool and a group of people were having a bbq and drinking making noise till late. Then the guests staying on the other side of us were drinking and making alot of noise through to 5am. Needless to say we did not get any restful sleep and got up and left for our drive home at 7am

One wanted to sit outside and drink all night but were closed down at 10.30 but a lost kid woke us all up at 3.30 screaming for mum, seemed to go on for quite awhile. No doubt it will revert to normal the next time i stay.

- Alexander (8/5): Simple, Clean Budget Motel - Frimley Lodge Motel is a simple motor lodge, perfect for a clean, simple place to sleep passing through, but not much more. Pulling in, you feel like you're in a parking lot. Each room opens on the pavement with chairs and ashtrays provided outside. It was surprisingly nice inside, with a big comfy bed, a few chairs, kitchenette for morning hot drinks, a TV, and clean bathroom. Check-in was a breeze with a friendly desk person. The place was surprisingly quiet being close to the road. Other guests were also respectful, as there was a big construction crew taking up a few rooms. Parking was convenient and included. It's not close to anything walking, so you'll want to drive around. For the price and cleanliness, we were happy staying here.

The room was clean and functional and the bed one of the rarely most comfortable for those of us that like a firm sleep. Fridge was cold and not noisy. I was surprised that even this close to the road (2-3 units along) there was little traffic noise - except from the fire station a little further down the road.) I was a little disappointed by the rather dated room with dated stove and furnishings,(for the 120 rate) would have preferred the TV in the bedroom (separate from the lounge) a proper couch in the lounge position in front of the TV.. the existing one being a pull out bed that was just plain uncomfortable to sit on... but over all the room did its job and I got to my engagement well rested

- wendy (10/5): Central and cosy - This was our second time staying at this motel within a couple of months. This time we were given an upgrade to a bigger studio unit and it was very impressive. Suitable for three with a single as well as the double bed. Plenty of utensils for cooking on the stove top or microwave. Instant hot water in the shower and plenty of it. Towels could have been a bit thicker though which spoilt it a little bit but no biggie. Bed very comfortable.

Beds were super comfy There were ALOT of ants everywhere (so keep food all in the fridge or in a locked container) Rubbish under the couches when we went to pull it out to sleep on. Kitchen items and cupboards were dirty. Dust on top of the cupboards. Portacot was smelly so i didnt end up using it. Aside from that i really enjoyed the stay. And woukd definitely stay again if needed.

Unit was advertised as sleeping up to 6 people, yet there were only 5 (or less!) of each piece of crockery, cutlery and glassware. Shower was terrible, water was either too cold or too hot. All in all it was an awkward and uncomfortable stay.

We had just paid so had to stay but wished we could leave!!! The room smelt like vomit and the water coming out of the hot tap was brown!! Very very disappointed would not recommend!!

I had my lacky with me, so it was good, I could put him in the second bedroom where there was 2 single beds for him. Will definitely return on my next trip to Hastings, Thanks - Thomas
