Was nice and cozy, perfect location and the staff were extremely lovely even offering a late check out and to chill out in the room until my lift arrived to pick me up.

- ROGER (8/5): Pleasant for our two night stopover. - Location suited our needs. Restaurant had good food and wine list. Nothing to complain about.
- Angus (7/5): Facilities were good. - Well presented, clean and tidy with basic amenities provided. Good location and close to the boxing event we were attending. The female attendant I had to call out of office hours (we had requested an early check in) was downright RUDE! Asked where we were all staying? I had requested two rooms for four adults and four 15y/o children. Was advised it wasn't really suitable for four 15y/o's only little children. Was also asked how I had booked the rooms? I replied had been booked through Booking.com. Was then lectured by the female attendant (who I later found out was the owner), that Booking.com take out $50.00 from the monies paid and that next time I should book directly through the Western Gateway Apartment website! I reiterate, the female owner was downright RUDE and made me feel that I had inconvenienced her by checking in early, and also with the number of people I had booked for! Upside to the service provided.....male attendant who I handed the keys back into on Sunday morning, was absolutely lovely 😊 ADDENDUM - I have since been contacted by the female owner, Phillipa, who apologised profusely for the miscommunication between myself, the booking agent and her. She was not made aware of the early booking requested (when I booked online), or the ages of the four teenage boys we had with us (was for a boxing tournament) or else she would have suggested another room to accommodate the young teenagers. Apology accepted, hence my updated review!

- Geoff (9/5): A comfortable, high standard country motel that lacked nothing. - This motel room just worked: spacious, modern wet area, table and chairs, couch; and great lighting. Was worth paying a small premium for the overnight stay. Being a walk from a quality tavern was a bonus. Was too hot to walk any distance, however time in the room was most comfortable. Nothing really.
- KIRSTY (10/5): Comfort and size for a family! - Love the size of the room and the facilities are all there for a comfortable stay. Would've been nice to have a second TV in the main bedroom but I streamed my shows on my phone whilst the kids watched the main TV.
- Tanya (6/5): Fabulous place if you can receive the room you asked for and paid for. - A central location with really lovely front of house staff. It was very clean and had good facilities. We booked a king suite yet it only had a queen bed. It was a deal breaker as we specifically wanted the king bed as I have terrible back pain and I constantly toss and turn to try and keep comfortable and it disturbs my partner greatly in a smaller bed.

- Janie (9/5): Comfortable stay in Emerald - Good location and spacious studio room. WIFI and Netflix good, TV good size. Kitchenette well equipped and self catering easy. Man in reception very helpful in arranging a second night and also helpful when the washing machine in the laundry room didnt work. Clean comfortable and spacious with undercover parking. We booked a king studio but got a queen bed. Disappointing but the stay was fine anyway.

Room had a large fridge/freezer and microwave which was of great use during our stay. Room was very neat and spacious, with a ceiling fan and a table with chairs. Restaurant on site was amazing, the food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the Stone Grill. Room not completely dark at night and close to main road. If you don't like stairs, request a room on ground level as no elevator/ramp available.

- Tanika (4/5): - Loved that there was plenty of room and a bed for everyone to sleep on. Sheets were stained. Bathroom had baby cockroaches running around. The worst part about the whole stay would be the fact we were rudely awoken at 830am by someone entering our room. My husband got up to investigate and it was the cleaner, whom I’m assuming should know who has and hasn’t checked out by the time they start working.

It was a building across the road at least 20-30 years older. Very deceptive marketing. Even had to do the dishes in the only sink in the bathroom.

Staff were very accommodating for a weekend of sold out motels /hotels in emerald they did everything they could to get everyone in and comfortable in rooms. Couldn't fault them With full motels makes parking larger cars a little difficult.

- Rebecca (4/5): It was ok, wouldn’t rave about it or overly recommend - It was central to where we needed to be. There were no staff available, no coffee and only a couple of tea bags. The shower leaked badly so there were not enough towels to soak up the water and shower. It was disappointing, also there was no place to sit at night to watch tv as there were only dining chairs or the beds.
