Mia (7/5): Okay - Location is okay accessible to the city centre No towels were provided during check-in, and there was no extra toilet paper in the room. The room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, and the bedding had cigarette marks on it, which made it seem like the sheets may not have been properly changed or cleaned. The TV was very small and not a smart TV, so there was no access to YouTube or Netflix. There was also no air conditioning — only a fan was available.

Alan (8/5): The motel was nice and central, and I was blessed with wonderful weather. - The unit was spacious with sufficient bench space in the kitchen, decent sized bathroom and comfortable bed. Parking was good and the unit I had was at the back thereby reducing any traffic noise from what I know is a busy main road. The lighting in the lounge-sleeping area of the motel could perhaps have been better. There was a light above the sofa on the wall which did not turn on when the opposite one did so. I would have mentioned this to the motelier but there was no-one around when I left. Also the fridge door sometimes came open of its own volition, which I would not be aware of until I looked. This caused the ice tray to ice up. The ice tray part was loose, so putting anything of weight in there, like a slicker pad, would cause the tray to move forward and push the fridge door open. I had to make sure it was as far back into the fridge before closing the door.

katie (8/5): Our review of this accpmodation - The accomodation was in a close location to everything, however it's on the main road and we went during the busy period so the traffic was heavy and noisy at times. The beds were comfortable and kitchen utensils and facilities were good. We went to open up couch sofa to watch a movie but it was very dirty with mouldy food in it.

Nicola (8/5): Comfortable, affordable and pet friendly - We were travelling with our dog, so needed to find somewhere that was pet friendly. 299 on Devon West was very welcoming for dogs, and just asked for a $10 surcharge. The motel was clean, tidy and comfortable. There is a patch of grass at the back of the carpark suitable for dogs to have a sniff around and do their business, it is also easy to walk down the driveway and onto the footpath for a longer walk if needed. We have stayed in some terrible pet friendly places before (threadbare carpet and really run down), but this location is easily as nice as any other motel and offers the flexibility for people to bring their pets. One of the three beds had a mattress that was a little uncomfortable, you could feel the springs. Typical for a motel I guess, but could do with replacement.

The rooms are in need of a makeover. The carpet was worn and I kept standing on the nail where it was exposed from wear and tear. A bit more attention to detail with the cleaning wouldn’t go amiss.

Michelle (3/5): Noisy, needs love, not a great experience - Size of the room was nice Upon arrival, the person receiving us at reception was not very friendly( she mentioned she was looking after the place while owners are away) The place was incredibly noisy. You can hear traffic even with all doors closed. Unfortunately the fan also made a noise and this meant no sleep for us. The bed was so soft that when one person moved, it felt like you were lying on a water bed. The top comforter had quite a few stains on it ( so we immediately removed it) and parts of the apartment looked like it had not been vacuumed for a while. It felt like it needed some love, to be honest. We had booked for 2 nights but left before checkout the next day and communicated this to the lady at reception. We were not offered any refund for the second day ( as yet) even though we did not stay. We would not stay here again likely.
