• Prashant (1/5): Pathetic - Nothing Disappointing Stay - Poor Maintenance and Unfair Billing Practices. Unauthorized Charge Without Notice: The most troubling part came after our stay. Without any prior contact, discussion, or notification, the hotel charged $150 to my credit card claiming we caused water damage. This is completely false - the shower was already broken when we tried to use it. The hotel never reached out to discuss the situation, provide evidence, or give us an opportunity to explain what actually happened before taking money from our account. This is unacceptable business practice. Any reputable establishment would contact guests first before applying disputed charges.

• Ho (8/5): Overall, we are happy with our stay at Black Buffalo. - The hotel is located within short distances from places we visited. It also provide complimentary parking space which is nice to have. Though we only need to climb 1 storey, would be exceptional if there is a standard lift or at least platform lift. We have 5 luggages which weigh about 20 kg each. Also has one senior with weak knees. For this round we can still manage as one of us is a young adult. He provides the muscles for the luggages while the weak knee senior climb up slowly. Other than these, no other negative comment.

The menu in the restaurant was great and the food was fantastic. my room was not refurbished as were other rooms that friends were allocated and their bed was much more comfortable

From Federal Street it is a pleasant downhill walk along busy Elizabeth Street. Room and bathroom spacious. Friendly receptionist helped carry luggage upstairs as no lift. Quiet room.

Lots of room for luggage and didn’t feel like you were tripping over things. The bathroom was big and spacious, the shower pressure was great. The bed was uncomfortable, could feel the separation between the two single beds. Felt like a hard pole. No subtle lighting for reading, it was bright lights on all the time or not lights at all.

I had some difficulty releasing the blinds down, there was a knot in the cord, so I thought I'd just close the drapes, but they wouldn't close all the way. I felt a bit exposed as I was on the ground floor.
