• Kristen (1/5): We moved locations. The building works directly opposite - The lady at reception was very friendly We were not told that there was major construction directly opppsite our bungalow. There were men working, shouting and lots of hammering. There was no way you could sit on the balcony and relax on our holiday. The beds were so uncomfortable.
• Brett (4/5): Try another option. - Location ​Our stay in the 2-bedroom hut was very disappointing. The upstairs room smelled strongly of animal urine, and the bathroom was quite dirty. To make matters worse, the ceiling leaked sand directly onto the bed every night, and the mosquito situation was out of control. ​Prospective guests should also be aware that the "stairs" are essentially a vertical ladder. While the bottom room was okay and the water pressure was average, the lack of cleanliness and the sand falling from the ceiling made it impossible to enjoy our stay. Avoid this one.

The water was temperamental in the bathrooms.
• Iva (5/5): Wait until construction is over to stay - The property has potential but unfortunately we didn’t stay long enough to find out We booked this many months ago and weren’t told at the time of booking there was construction. We booked certain rooms due to having kids and oldies, only to find out once we arrived that they weren’t available. We got upgraded to the one bedroom bungalows but with their narrow stairs these weren’t suitable at all. We stayed one night and moved elsewhere. There is constant noise from construction and the pleasant view of a work site didn’t make the stay pleasant at all for a relaxing beach holiday, the one bedroom bungalow is tiny and couldn’t even fit the spare bed we requested easily, the stairs were so narrow it felt unsafe to climb up or down.

De la en stor innsats i at det skulle være rent og fint. Veldig fint uteområdet med beplantning. Fint opplyst om kvelden. Fikk hjelp til transport. God frokost! Området er slitt, for eksempel er det mye løse fliser og fliser som mangler i bassenget. Deler av gulvet og statue har grønt belegg (mose pga fuktig klima?) som gjerne kunne være vasket, men det påvirker jo ikke annet enn utseende. Bildene på nettstedet bør oppdateres, da det er gjort en del endringer der. Dårlig trykk i dusj og vask.
• Kristy (7/5): Average accommodation - The place could accommodate our large family booking I arranged for family to be picked up from jetty but failure to do so and I was blamed for not giving them a time when I did. Big miss communication on the staff end resulted in family having to sort out and pay for transfer. Their partnered driver tried to rip us off and would not recommend them to do the island tour he offers. He tried to cut out pre-arranged time down and still charge us the same rate. Pictures on websites need to be updated to justify reality.

• Eva (8/5): Over a great stay, good value for money and lovely staff - We were a family of 5 and my mum stayed in the bungalow style which suited her. It was more modern. The hut style my children loved. The hut style was more rustic in nature. The staff were really friendly. Moped hire was easy, just across from Nanuks. There’s a shop on site - brilliant for buying bingtangs, chips and drinks for the kids. The breakfast option is great value, close to restaurants of different classes. I highly recommend you hire a moped to get around the island and to cross the yellow bridge. In the hut style bungalows you have to be vigilant closing the door to the bedroom to keep mozzies out. The bathroom is in the main entrance.

The resort has a small store that has all you need - from toiletries to beer and is open late. The breakfast was tasty and the beach is a couple of minutes away on foot, and the pool was great for quick refreshment throughout the day. No complaints!

• Schüle (5/5): Für Familien die sparen wollen, absolut empfehlenswert, mit dem Wissen, dass man ein Taxi braucht. - Da der Zimmerpreis im Vergleich zu den Hauptstränden günstig war, würde ich sagen ist der Komfort, der dort geboten wird okay. Die Zimmer waren einfach, aber sauber. Das Resort ist ziemlich abgelegen, dafür sind die Preise in den umliegenden Restaurants günstig. Man braucht jedoch immer ein Scooter und ein Taxi (sehr teuer), um an Badestrände zu kommen. Das Resort liegt zwar am Meer, hat jedoch keinen Zugang zum Strand. Die Taxis kosten pauschal 150k,egal ob man 300m oder 3km fährt. Nur zum Vergleich: In Bali fahren wir 30 km mit Gojek für 170k. Das Frühstück war für uns nicht empfehlenswert. Egal ob Toast oder Pancakes (eher Kategorie Pfannkuchen) waren sehr fettig. Wir haben am 2. Tag auswärts gegessen und das sehr gut.

• Claudia (7/5): Prima - Mooie en toegankelijke locatie, aardig en behulpzaam personeel, ontbijt was goed en de airco heel prettig. Bed was leuk opgemaakt toen we binnenkwamen. Wat ook heel fijn was; onbeperkt gratis water, koffie en thee! Het is allemaal een beetje viezig. Klamboe is vies, dekbed was vies, overal insectenpoep. Ook bij het zwembad waren de bedjes viesHet wordt gelukkig wel dagelijks ‘schoongemaakt’ en het water wordt netjes bijgevuld. Omdat de badkamer open is, zaten daar veel insecten en muggen. Niet ideaal in een badkamer, maar dit hadden we kunnen weten voor het boeken. Waterdruk in de douche is minimaal. De eerste nacht hadden we huisje nummer 6, daar liep de wc en de douche niet door. Het personeel heeft er alles aan gedaan om het te verhelpen, maar het mocht helaas niet baten. De volgende dag kregen we huisje nummer 4. Dit was aanzienlijk comfortabeler en een fijnere inrichting.

• Joel (7/5): Decent accommodation, friendly staff, all in all a pleasant stay. - We stayed in the rooms up the back of the property which are not as picturesque as the photos - but the rooms were clean and comfortable. Pool area was nice. A decent amount of food options and restaurants local to the accommodation. Note that Tamarind Beach itself is not that nice - its rocky and cant be accessed unless its low tide. All in all a nice stay for a few days.
• De-anne (2/5): Don’t stay here. - Nothing. It was old dirty and had bugs. We left are the 1 night. The bungalows are very small no room to put bags and hang clothes. Our room was dirty and felt claustrophobic. There was animal poop on the mosquito net which you need to use because the roof had holes. The stairs down to the bathroom were very steep. I slipped and hurt myself. Left as soon as we could.

Very humid in rooms, slow water flow in showers (no warm water) one night we didn’t have any water at all and we had a cockroach in the bedroom. The bathroom is open so it comes in mosquitos. Smelled like mold sometimes.

• Shari (8/5): Lovely location on the island - The pool and seating area was really nice. It was great that there was a mini supermarket on the property so we could get drinks and some snacks there. When you enter the accommodation, you get in the bathroom and take the stairs to get to the bedroom. Bedroom looked really nice, but in the bathroom there is no separate shower cabin. So when you take a shower, water gets everywhere (also on your toiletries that you put next to the sink). When you then walk around in the bathroom it gets dirty really quickly. We also asked the staff what their island tour entails, but they couldn’t really give a clear answer.
• Sally (7/5): Good - The staff and location were great, the included breakfast was lovely but nothing special, the coffee was delicious and the nightly massages around the pool were amazing. But although we made it work with our 2yr old son, we wouldn’t stay again. It was lovely overall however the family 2 bedroom bungalow was too small for us. The beds take up the entirety of the rooms, making it hard to move around let alone having an energetic toddler who has nowhere to go except jump on the bed. The ‘stairs’ to the upstairs bedroom were more like a ladder, very steep with narrow steps. The beds have mosquito nets around them however it didn’t take much for them to get in. There were a lot of mosquitoes overall the bungalow as the walls and roof are just wood, we unfortunately had to use alot of mosquito spray. The showers had no pressure at all, making it very hard to bathe our son while standing under a drizzle.
• Sarah (5/5): Fine for cheap no frills accommodation - The pool area was nice and the attached mart handy for drinks and snacks. The taxi driver for the hotel was lovely and made it easy to get places. I didn't have the breakfast so can't comment on the food. Note they only have food available at breakfast time. They have a water refill station to fill up your water bottle which was great - less plastic! I stayed in the One Bedroom Bungalow. I didn't realise from the photos that the bathroom was on the ground floor so it required you climbing steep steps each time you needed to use it. Also the handle on the basin tap was broken making it hard to use. Overall the bathroom didn't feel overly clean. The bedroom was fine and the bed comfy. Glad to have a mosquito net over the bed. Some of my friends stayed in the other bungalow type which was in my opinion much nicer (all on one level and up the back of the property so quieter) yet it was cheaper. I think the One Bedroom Bungalows are more expensive because you have 'pool views' however I was unlucky and got bungalow #1 which was tucked behind the reception building, so no view plus it was noisy from the adjacent road and the reception area. I'd recommend staying in the other bungalows.

Positioned only 3 mins walk to secret beach (beautiful) and 12 mins walk to mushroom bay with restaurant’s. Lovely pool with free Nescafé coffee and water by the pool. Breakfast cooked to order (poached eggs the best) We had a great 5 day stay. Nothing bad to say

• Caitlyn (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed for 11 nights and it was a wonderful, chilled out base to explore the island. It was very close to Mushroom bay which was my fave swimming beach. Also a stone's throw from Hidden Beach was brilliant for watching sunsets, and Tamarind Bay which was a convenient way to walk further up the island when the tide was out. All in all, it was excellent value for location and comfort. Also, they made exceptional coffee!! The hot water in our bungalow was problematic. Sometimes it would blast only scorching hot water with no way to get it to run cold, and other times when it was 'fixed' there was barely any pressure. Not really a big deal as we are pretty low maintenance, but I would imagine some people would be really bothered by this

Restaurants are cheaper in this area because it’s not as resort-y. Beautiful pool, nice little market. And the rooms AC was good which is very important in this area of the island that gets less ocean breeze. I mean pretty hard to say anything bad about the property… I guess maybe the mosquitos. But that’s kind of a given when you’re in Indonesia.😂

• Shaun (9/5): I would definitely recommend this location. - Location and friendly staff. Good aircon and clean The showers. Hot water was patchy and the water was dribble.
• Leanne (8/5): We will be back next year. Thank you Nanuk’s Bungalow - Loved Nanuk’s. The staff were lovely. Helped us organise some tours with local guides. Made sure there was always cold beer, that soft drinks were restocked as we consumed them and ice was available for our drinks. The rooms were basic but lovely. Cleaned daily. We could not beat the price which included breakfast and fresh juice each morning. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

• Alannah (8/5): Great stay and value for money. - Lovely stay! The facilities and staff are great. They have a shop onsite, and bike rental opposite. Bathroom could be updated. We also struggled a bit to sleep here, due to wildlife outside. Everything else was perfect!
• Lauren (10/5): If you’re looking for authentic, local run villas in a great location, these are ideal. Staff are warm and welcoming and - Great location, beautifully presented, lovely staff who made me feel at home. Breakfast was delicious, aircon a godsend and the beds so comfy I always had a great nights sleep. Heaps of restaurants, atms, spas, shopping and beach close by. Idyllic rustic style island living at its best ❤️ Nothing! I loved my stay and will be back and recommending to all 😊
