• 685larrenb (10/5): Awesome Country Motel - We recently had a two night stay at Chinchilla White Gums Motor Inn. The rooms were spotlessly clean. Very comfortable beds. Great breakfast and dinner. Friendly hosts. Everything you want in a Motel. We will stay there again when we visit Chinchilla.

• vanessaw929 (10/5): Very clean motel - Extremely clean rooms. Everything is clean and it shows as you enter the rooms. Stayed overnight with two children and there is enough room for everyone. One of the bigger rooms we have stayed in for this type of layout. Bathroom was massive. Next to highway but didn't hear a thing all night. Highly recommend.
• Sharmax (8/5): Great country hospitality - Very well run accommodation with excellent hosts. Rooms are exceptionally clean and well presented. A nice easy walk over the rail bridge to town with quite a large selection of shops. The new Botanical Gardens and water park are just across the road and considering how close you are to the main road the rooms are surprisingly quiet. I would recommend this accommodation.

• waynehB6549XV (10/5): Short 2 night stay - We stayed at White Gums Motor Inn for 2 nights while our son played in a Tennis Tournament in town. We found the location very convenient with a lot of places within a short walk. The Information Centre is just across the road as is the Giant Water Melon. A little further on across the Railway line is the Botanical Gardens & Water Play Area. Next door to the Gardens is the Museum. We found our hosts most helpful & our room was both clean but also spacious & comfortable. When next we are intending to visit Chinchilla we will be sure to stay here again
• mongoose111 (10/5): Great rooms and lovely hosts - While travelling through Queensland this was one of the standout motels. The rooms were spacious and clean, the beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were modern. It was quiet even though it is located just off the highway. We also had dinner in our rooms and the food was really good. The motel is located opposite the newly created botanic parklands, a lovely place for a walk after a long day driving. Our hosts were really friendly and informative. Will certainly stay here again.

• lisatook (10/5): Business Trip - I travel alot in regional Queensland, stay in alot of Motels and usually don't write reviews, but I was so impressed by White Gum Motor Inn at Chinchilla that I had sign in and write a review, At the onset, the outside is very well maintained and have a couple of Well looked after gardens breaking the motel style drive in car parks. On the inside, the rooms are insanely clean! Bath towels are rolled up on the bed with a sunflower on top and a couple of mentos... nice touch. The cabinetry is very well appointed catering for everything you need, iron, ironing board, luggage rack, microwave, matching classy toaster and kettle (white with rose gold trims), decent sized well stocked bar fridge (and the prices are not through the roof for a beer $5.50 for a Great Northern, $3.00 for chocolate, matching wood coat hangers which don't look like they belong in the tip, extra pillows and blankets, crockery and cutlery if you want to make your own meal on the microwave etc. The cups are Bone China Alex Liddy, its just the little nice touches as I said. Also bickies as you'd expect in a country town motel. They do also have room service if you order before 6p. Decent home cooked style food. The bathroom is large, shower is hugef, good quality products including full size English brand matching hand wash and hand lotion on a Crabtree and Evelyn ceramic tray. Decent sized quality shampoo and conditioner in the shower. This place is a diamond in the rough with all the extras of a big hotel that are right here in Chinchilla. I have always stayed elsewhere but thank goodness they were booked out because this Motel is THE BEST you'll find in Chinchilla. Also probably the best value for money that I've ever stayed in all of Queensland... big call from me given how much I travel. Well done Wine Gum.. keep the excellent 5 star standards up! As Arny says ... Ill be back!!
• Glen (8/5): Kellys travels - Overnight stay. Were allowed to check in early which was nice after a long drive. Very clean and tidy. Bed comfortable, a nice big shower. Opposite information and gardens. A short 5 min drive to main part of town. Even though on a busy road once indoors it was quiet. Thanks
• Crusader007 (10/5): Really nice motel - Stayed for 1 Night on a outback trip. Room was a really good size and modern. Couldn't fault the cleanliness. As has been mentioned its right across from the big watermelon and new botanical gardens which after a long drive is really nice to stretch the legs. Was a little worried about noise as its right on the highway. We had a room that backed onto the highway and didn't hear much noise at all . If i am passing through again i would definitely stay again
• Craig (10/5): - This is an Excellent Motor Inn easy parking great room and a huge shower and in a very covenient location. Highly recommend this Motor Inn although being close to the train line it is a bit noisy as the the trains pass by.
• Aliralph (6/5): Pretty Good - Clean, comfortable room. Stayed one night only. Convenient location - right opposite the Big Melon. Surprisingly quiet even though located on a busy intersection. Unfortunately, we stayed during a bit of COVID hysteria in QLD and being from NSW our reception on arrival was less than welcoming. We kept our cool and sense of humour and hope that as things settle down the staff will be more understanding of interstate visitors.

The facilities were clean and comfortable, the owners were welcoming and friendly and the steak dinner he had was so big he couldn't finish it. • Paradise24348489142 (10/5): Judging Green Flag Award for Chinchilla Botanical Parkland - The White Gums Motor Inn is across the road from the newly opened botanical parkland and will be an impressive tourist draw card for the town. The motor inn provided excellent accommodation with very clean and well appointed rooms. Meals both breakfast and evening are of high standard, all delivered to your room. Even has option of picnic lunch package. Owners and reception staff professional and friendly. With proximity to parkland it will be a must stopping point.

• Kylieaf (10/5): Great Position - We stayed in a family room for four nights for a sporting event with a family of four. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Our room was quite big, having a queen bed and two single beds. It also had a decent size television with some Foxtel channels, microwave, kettle and toaster and a good size dining table. It had a very spacious bathroom. We needed to use the washing machine and dryer every day so having that there was very handy. There is the option of room service for breakfast and dinner if you wish but the motel was within walking distance or very short drive to restaurants or Woolworths. There is also a BBQ there which you can also use. The motel was located right across the road from the Information Centre, the big watermelon and the new Botanic Parklands which was really lovely. I would definitely recommend staying here and would stay again if we ever get back out to Chinchilla!

• 17bernardl (8/5): White Gums Motor Inn – Very Nice Indeed - Recently stayed at this hotel on a family trip to Chinchilla at $110 a night. The motel is well located within a nice walk to the main town centre. Reception was smooth, parking was akin to your room and under cover. Room was well appointed with all the usual things but also with a microwave and toaster etc. Well-appointed bathroom with some space to move. All neat and clean. All told very nice indeed. I would recommend / stay again – sure would.

• Denise (10/5): Girls Getaway - My daughter and I travelled to Chinchilla from the Gold Coast as she needed to compete in a Rugby League Carnival being hosted in the town. We found the Motor Inn really easy as it was on the main highway two minutes after arriving in town. The room was large enough with a queen bed, couch and a small dining table. We ate out every night but I notice that you could get meals from White Gums or even charge back to your room from some of the popular restaurants in town.

On a recent trip to Queensland we had the opportunity to sample real hospitality as used to be delivered. The room was comfortably furnished with all the usual utilities provided. The evening meal was served with a smile and the breakfast delivered hot and on time to the minute.

They have thought of everything, people "on the road" need for a comfortable overnight stay. There was absolutely nothing that we needed, that was missing. A great facility right on the highway.
