• Winnie (10/5): Wonderful stay - We have a wonderful stay in Ayana. This is absolutely one of the best villa we have ever stayed. Staffs are all very kind, special thanks to our butler Yudi & Edi, they are very professional, helpful & thoughtful. They managed everything in detail. My body condition was poor due to serious illness before, so during the stay I was not feeling so well, but thanks to Edi, he's arranged a doctor for me & after some treatment I felt much better. Thank you so much for their excellent hospitality. I can really feel they care about all the guests. Besides the staffs I love the villa too. We stayed at Ocean Front Cliff King Villa. It's so spacious, clean & tidy with nice decor. The bed was so comfortable. And the swimming pool, lawn, gorgeous sea view.... we enjoyed our stay very much. Nothing!

Guests who 'reserve' multiple poolside sunbeds with towels and belongings, but are not present at the pool using them for hours.

They definitely go the extra mile to make you feel welcomed and special. We stayed in a villa which was breathtaking. The spa was also a highlight! The food also a highlight - Scusa restaurant - some of the best pasta dishes we had ever had! The food was very expensive, buffet breakfast for 2 costing about $95 AUD per day, on top of very expensive accomodation. We stayed for 10 days which I think is a little long because the hotel is so big there isnt much else around, however the hotel is amazing so it is nice to be there but can get a little boring after a while.

We were in St Regis, Four Seasons and Ayana, last one was definitely the wors - Very nice looking resort, Villas are very comfortable, they have a lot of facilities - nice SPA, nice GYM, cool restaurants - with bad services. Management is terrific, services are really bad. So, we arrived 6 PM on the first day. Asked for a restaurant to eat, told us that most of them are already booked because they have some private events but we can choose from those nobody wanted - could understand because we did it pretty late. Took the Villa, asked about a table on the front deck at Rock Bar on the next day - they told us those are tables for VIP s and they can t guarantee we could have it - we were staying in the most expensive accomodation they have, so, I don t really understand who are the VIP s. Asked to always refill our minibar, as they don t do it in a 2k usd / night Villa - never happened, so, most of the time our fridge was empty. Food at room service lasts minim 1 hour, never came earlier, just later. Anything you ask is always impossible. At some point a monkey entered our villa, which was not a problem, but we announced them and after 20 minutes managed to get the monkey out by our own as nobody came to help us, while the monkey was searching through our stuff and was pretty aggressive. After the first three nights they refused to let us charge a 100 USD bill on the room, as they told the deposit (which they asked for) was exceeded, never ever have I experienced this in any other hotel. For the last night, we made a reservation at Rock Bar - 5 PM, because the baby was sleeping we asked them to postpone it for 30 min, the answer was that “unfortunately” the system releases the table automatically at exactly 5 PM “so please let us know if you want to cancel” :)).
• Sue (5/5): great resort , just too big and impersonal for my preference. - the villa was magnificent and the staff wonderful. We were on honeymoon and felt that this was not an appropriate choice for us . Perhaps for a family holiday it would make sense We did not feel this was value for money spent when choosing to stay in a villa . There are far nicer and more exclusive options for this price in Bali if you’re looking for a special and memorable stay . This resort is just too big ! The amenities were always too full with no space to accommodate us . There were no benefits as villa residents . ZERO Breakfast was chargeable above the very high villa charge , even Yoga was an additional charge . Rock bar looks incredible in pictures , but found the place in reality to be extremely disappointing. (tired and awful music ) we loved our villa style and all the wonderful staff but unfortunately for us this was not a great choice of hotel . FYI , when booking an “ocean view room “ , take note this just means you’ll see a piece of the ocean from afar . The correct room to choose if you’re looking for clear sea view Is called cliff sea view .

• Bethany (10/5): absolutely incredible! - Absolutely everything was wonderful! we also stayed at four seasons (jimbaran and ubud), soori, six senses and ungansan resort and ayana was our favourite. The villas are HUGE and perfect for families, the facilties are incredible (kids pools, slides, kids club, rock bar, therapy pool, shopping etc) but the staff / service was the best we experienced in our 6 weeks in bali. They were extra accommodating for a early check in and very late check out (5pm) as we had a late flight home to London. The value for money is exceptional, we paid over double the room rate in other hotels for much smaller rooms and far less facilities / less impressive service.

• Jeanette (10/5): if I had one wish, it would be that everyone gets to experience Ayana at least once in there lifetime. it is truely a st - I absolutely loved everything about the villa we stayed in, it had all the amenities and was very private. the staff were all very friendly, accommodating and professional. having to go home.
• Anne (10/5): Luxury resort with so much to do and explore - We spoilt ourselves and booked a cliff side villa with pool as a belated 25th anniversary present for 7 nights and it was amazing: quiet, relaxing, yet very luxurious. They are many resort pools to explore, we enjoyed the delicious breakfasts at the Dava restaurant and our butler took the experience up a notch in terms of luxury and convenience - such as organising restaurant bookings and answering all our questions with grace. The villa also gave us priority booking to the Rock Bar every night so we could jump the queue, which is a definite plus (weather permitting). The spa is fabulous, however a little too pricey considering how many spa places are available on the island. Beware Seminyak is not actually very close to drive to (especially when the traffic builds up) so not an option to 'pop' over regularly in my view. My only gripe was the lack of AC at the gym - which was a common complaint from hotel guests. The heat and humidity were oppressive, and the AC did not seem to be working, making for a very sweaty and uncomfortable workout every day!
