Guest Reviews
- Fabian (10/5): - Wir waren sehr zufrieden!
- Felix (9/5): Great place to relax - Feels like an authentic place in javanese style, comfy rooms, nice pool, a decent restaurant. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is quiet at night. The outside bathtube is special. All in all, a nice place for a few days of relaxing. There were a few tiny ants
- Cinieri Lombroso (10/5): - I really like the place because you forget that you're in the city. Green, silent and amazing swimming pool. I love the room and the view on the swimming pool from the 1st floor.

Aanrader! Niets.
- Cinieri Lombroso (10/5): I love the place - I like the location, the atmosphere, the room The breakfast quite expensive and limited food

- Adrian (9/5): A traditional charm with very great service - It was really comfortable and the staff were really fantastic There was nothing not to like about this place it was really
- michiel (9/5): Excellent home base for discovering central Java - Oasis in a busy city. Great place to come back to after a long day. Dori (Dori) at the restaurant is a wonderful host.
- Justyna (10/5): The best hotel I stayed at during my trip to Java! - From start to finish, the service was exceptional. The reception staff and parking attendant were incredibly kind, and they even helped carry my luggage upon arrival and checkout.
In the restaurant, a lovely lady went out of her way to accommodate my special dietary requirements - truly 10/10 for customer service.
The room was well-equipped with a kettle, fridge, and safety deposit box, making the stay even more comfortable.
The pool and the garden are just wonderful! Real oasis for travellers.
An added bonus: there’s a well-stocked supermarket just around the corner.
- Neeltje (9/5): A nice calm stay in Yogja - The hotel was really nice. The rooms where very cozy and the common area with the pool were really nice. It feels like your escape the hectics from the street when you enter the inn.
It is close to a lot of restaurants. The staff is very friendly.
The breakfast is basic but fine to start the day.

- Hashimah (8/5): Really nice hotel and affordable - I love the staff there they are super nice and friendly. The room is so comfortable and aesthetically nice. I love the location as well as it is not too far from many tourist spots This is not the hotel fault but i am frustrated that every time we want to hang out by the pool or at the restaurant, there will be smokes, the air is so polluted and its because of people around burning garbage. Its really disturbing.
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional -
- Luke (10/5): Great hotel with an amazing pool, great location and even better staff! - We booked a week in the hotel. Everything is nice and clean and the swimming pool is amazing. Close to Jalan Prawirotaman, where there are nice cafes and bars. The thing I loved the most though was the amazingly friendly staff. We felt very welcome and they made sure of it. 10/10
- Sue (8/5): Quiet and comfortable - Lots of character, the pool and garden, nice big room
- Madzlan (8/5): Very good -
- Habib (10/5): Exceptional - The security and the guest service they are amazing.and amazing place as well one of the staff in guest service names "laila" She's very helpful .
- Neil (10/5): A beautiful hotel. I stayed an extra night, as two nights wasn’t enough. - A beautiful hotel. I stayed an extra night, as two nights wasn’t enough.
Good location. Trains stations are easily accessible with a 15min taxi ride. Scooters are faster with the traffic.
Lots of food options. The hotel itself is very good, but walking out the door, there are restaurants all around, and some great street food food. The chicken satay is very good!!
The pool is delightful. I must have sat by it for 6-8 hours just relaxing, reading. The lighting around it is simply delightful.
There is a massage/spa, but only for females, as the masseuse is female.
Staff are really friendly, and even helped me repair my fan when it broke. Wonderful people.
The bathroom is private, covered, but technically outside. I liked it. It was fun, and felt rustic. But it creates issues in that your bathroom door is effectively an outside door.
The only issue was that I had a number of small ants in my room. I am sure this will have been resolved… I survived.
A lovely hotel, I extended my stay, and was sad to leave.
- Robin (8/5): Very good - Comfortable hotel near the centre of yogya, with a great garden and pool area which was always a welcomed oasis after a hot day visiting the sites...a bit too far to walk to the central sites in Yogja (Kraton, Malioboro st)
but close to the restaurants and bars on Jl. Prawirotaman...
Great staff
- Malouca (10/5): Perfect ! - Everything was perfect, all the staff was so lovely. We loved the room and the pool !
- Sak (8/5): Good value, no frills hotel with very helpful staff - Even for off-season, it was cheap but much better than we'd expected. A little worn, but the room was of a good size and clean (and kept clean). Had "universal" power sockets so didn't need adapters. Had a little balcony overlooking the pool, which was not the biggest but clean and useable. Staff friendly and helpful in arranging tours and taxis. Supermarket and plenty of cafes and eateries nearby. Good breakfast included and they gave us a packed breakfast when we had to leave early. Some of the lamps had faulty switches, but in general things worked. The people next door decided to smoke on their balcony, so you might want to forgo the room with balcony and save a little money.
- Hilary (9/5): Excellent place for a relaxing stay. - The hotel has a very calming atmosphere with natural features and a beautiful, large swimming pool. The hotel is very clean. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a bit limited.
- Alessi (10/5): Exceptional - This place is truly heaven on earth. Everything from the staff to the rooms, the swimming pool, and the thoughtful details, was exceptional. The serene surroundings, with beautiful water features and lush trees, create a peaceful atmosphere. Our room was spotless, spacious, and came with a terrace, while the bed was incredibly comfortable. The location is also great, with plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby. The WiFi didn't work in our room, but we didn't mind it. For the first two nights, we stayed in a pool-view room, but being next to the road, it was quite noisy. We requested to move to a room on the opposite side, on the first floor with a balcony, and it was much more peaceful.
- Finbar (10/5): Exceptional - beautiful room with a balcony. helpful staff. very romantic setting
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Oktofani (9/5): Superb -
- Khalid (10/5): Exceptional -
- Djuke (8/5): Lovely place to stay in Yogya. - Warm and welcoming team, full of great suggestions and a homely vibe. Great location and lovely rooms and pool. Overall, a really good place, the sound does travel a little along some if the corridors, but generally we didn't hear other guests. Do be prepared for an early wake up as the nearby mosque signals call to prayer.
- Guillefog (9/5): Superb - Comfy beds, spacious room with all you need. Beautiful and well maintained pool. An oasis of peace off the city bustling
- Meisyana (8/5): Overall I do enjoy stay at jogja village. - If you want to stay at a place that has jogja characteristics. You must stay at Jogja's Village. The ambience is quite serene at night and bright and colorful during the day. They have a decent breakfast and tasty as well. The staff is very helpful whenever you need some help. At night I could hear the sound of lizards and do not put any sweet things on the table as it can triggered ants to come.
- Suzan (8/5): Very good -
- Turan (10/5): Exelent - Environment and authenticity maybe, if there was a bar would be better.
- Mohd.redzuan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gerrit-jan (10/5): 10/10 would recommend:) - Cheerfull and helpfull staff, great service with a smile
Good room
Nice ambiance
Parking for motorcycle and cars
- Maria (8/5): Memorable! - Excellent service, friendly and helpful staff, liked the rustic feel
- Iryna (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel is simply wonderful. The rooms are beautiful, clean, and equipped with everything you need. The grounds are very beautiful and cozy. The staff is attentive and helpful. I'm delighted!
- Sebastiaan (8/5): Very good -
- Rochelle (10/5): we absolutely loved staying here and will always return - this is by far the best place you can stay while at Jogja. great for walking round the streets, into town. great for grabbing a tuk tuk and going for a ride. staff absolutely fantastic. I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel, nothing was a problem nothing!! all good!!
- Afreen (10/5): Exceptional - Vey beautiful property, huge pool, absolute value for money
They gave us packed breakfast as we were leaving early ❤️ Nothing
All good
- Astrid (8/5): Very good - Great staff and hotel ! Ideal location and very peaceful hotel.
- Amy (9/5): Superb - We’ve had a very pleasant stay (3 days) in a very serene accomodation which is located in a busy city as Yogjakarta. Clean rooms, nice swimming pool, good food and very kind staff. If we have to mention one negative point; the breakfast wasn’t that diverse.
- Dana (9/5): Superb - The atmosphere, the staff (super friendly and hospitality 10/10), the swimming pool and the location
- William (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel is very very very beautiful. It is like what many people here say, an oasis within a big city. The installations are marvelous, the staff is so warm and kind and always with a smile on their face, willing to accommodate your needs and help when necessary. The pool is stunning, it's perfect for those hot days to cool off a moment. The room itself we had was exceptional, the AC was perfect, the shower worked perfectly, and the beds were very stylish like in the photos, and they were very comfortable. The room had a fridge, the installations had mineral potable water to refill your bottle and go about your day, and the safe in the room was nice as well to be able to keep valuables in them while on our way. Also, the room was cleaned daily, and the towels replaced daily too. You barely could hear anything from outside, the walls were nice although, one thing. Like everywhere in Yogya, it's inevitable and many people say so, and it is true. At 4:30 and 6am, the nearby mosques start their prayers. This is everywhere and for every hotel and accommodation in Yogya, it's the reality, I would take extra ear plugs or put on some white noise if you're a light sleeper, in my case it was quite bothersome, but it's inescapable and nothing to do with this hotel itself, but just the reality of the city.
- Vincent (9/5): Superb -
- Willis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bas (9/5): Superb - The pool and room were great and there were some nice places for food and drinks at walking distance. It's a bit far from the main centre.
- Peter (8/5): Very good - Nice pool area.
- Peter (9/5): A place of tranquility in a busy city - A quiet place in a busy city. Very nice swimming pool It took a while to get warmish water, still not a problem.
- Ian (9/5): Superb - Pool, rooms, staff...great Not much of anything
- Maria (6/5): Nice pool and good location - The pool is essential after a day exploring with so much hot The restaurant was not very good.
We had some cockroaches in the toilet, but I guess that is something to expect in areas like this.
- Angela (9/5): Quiet and stylish in the middle of Jogja - Great design - feels like Indonesia.
Comfortable - lovely balcony overlooking a quiet garden. Great location just off jalan prawirotaman and surrounded by small winding streets where you can see Jogja life. Very affordable. Very helpful staff. Definitely recommended . No issues at all
- Craig (10/5): Happy and surprising stay - Surprising property that is even better than the photos. Lovely pool, beautiful room and delightful balcony. Car Park security staff were friendly and professional. Breakfast was good but not great. I would recommend this property and I look forward to visiting again. The breakfast could be better. As I said above, it was good but could be improved
- Edy (8/5): Very good - Room is spacious, tidy and comfort Breakfast menu should be more varied
- Mahrus (9/5): Superb - Beautiful decoration
Clean There was a bit of a weird smell in the room.
- Mohd (9/5): Superb -
- Péter (9/5): Perfect little green sanctuary still in the center - Beautiful garden, big room with amazing balcony, friendly, helpful and flexible staff.
- Nicolas (10/5): we Loved the Green oasis in the City - we Loved the Green oasis in the City
- Arinie (5/5): Old property - Place is good locations, expecting vintage old property, just need more maintenance and quite dirty Place is good locations, expecting vintage old property, just need more maintenance and quite dirty
- Magdalena (9/5): A really positive experience - I would definitely come back - Comfortable and relaxing atmosphere, nice staff, beautiful scenery and design, multicultural and rustic vibe, amazing and warm pool, a balcony with great view and sofa, tasty cappuccino and Indonesian food served in the restaurant and accommodating service The bed could be softer
An air freshener in the bathroom could be useful
The morning mosque prayers were really loud
- Nadia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Atika (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mahmoud (8/5): Very nice and decent accommodation, for those travelers who are looking for nice, decent and simple stays - It is to find, next to the main road. Easy to identify by Grab Tax. Very close to a Gas Station. Rooms doors, very nice old style, and the bed is beautiful old design. Swimming Pool & Restaurant located in the middle of the property. I guess all villas overlook the swimming pool. Above all; super staff, very nice and accommodating It is a bit far away from the Center. It is about 30 minutes. And is 2hrs to the Airport at max depending on the Traffic
- Mikkel (7/5): Comfortable but worn hotel in the outskirts of the city - Comfy, cosy small place, with comfy bed with nice decor and room. Good and friendly service that where forthcoming and fulfilled all our requests. The pool area was very nice but a bit worn. We didn’t notice much noise from the otherwise noisy busy nearby streets, besides the call for prayer from nearby mosques. The place is not in walkable distance from major attractions as it’s 3-4km away and additional about one km to the better restaurant and cafes in the area, so it’s necessary to take taxi or scooter to go there and it can take some time as the road leading there is congested at more busy hours but you can take the labyrinthine streets behind the hotel. There several mosques in the area and all call for prayer at 4am, our room wasn’t that effected but some other rooms might be. There bit of a mosquito problem as doors and windows don’t shut tightly and the mosquito net around the bed isn’t very effective at keeping them out and could need a replacement. The shower take 5min to warm up after the shower is turned on and the head is quite small and worn, the bathroom is outside, not negative as such but it might bother some. The place could definitely use some more maintenance as it worn and look dated in places, the Internet was malfunctioning in our room, menu card was very limited and had no real offerings for vegetarians.
- Julian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gregory (10/5): Exceptional -
- Damien (7/5): generally ok some soundproofing needed - nice pool area, javanese style decorated rooms it is noisy at night situated near cafes
- Jass (9/5): Superb -
- Silke (8/5): Very good -
- Eri (9/5): Superb - Lovely grounds with lots of trees and flowers. Great pool. Nice room with comfortable bed. Nice veranda
Friendly staff. Quiet, spacious .
Care about reducing plastic by providing drinking water refill from a gallon. Breakfast not included, options limited and we got better value taking breakfast outside.
- Ovie (8/5): Very good -
- Karen (10/5): Great choice to rest from tours. Very comfortable and beautiful facilites. - Lovely oasis from the city in Indonesian style
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carla (9/5): Fantastic and would recommend it strongly. - Very cost place and beautiful pool area with lots of green… very relaxing. If I could suggest just one area of improvement, it would be to provide nets for the bed which are longer (until the floor) because otherwise it is difficult to keep the mosquitoes out and there were quite a bit.
- Doug (9/5): Superb - Spacious oasis in otherwise busy city. Great pool. Rooms are classy. Noisy mosques surround the hotel. Not the hotel’s fault of course, but be aware you will be woken up to howling @4am each morning. Shower also takes @10 mins to run hot water, otherwise, great place!
- Nathalie (9/5): Comfortable and great location - Beautiful tranquil place, nice set up and pool, nice bed. Location is great, walking distance to Jl. Prawirotaman with many restaurants and bars and next to large supermarket. Outdoor bathrooms are not really my thing, the biggest gecko I have ever seen was keeping me company which made my bathroom visits a little uncomfortable haha
- Anton (9/5): Superb -
- Maurits (7/5): Good - Looks beautiful Restaurant and hotel are separate companies, one the less they could improve on the communication amongst each other
- Max (9/5): Oasis of rest in busy Yogyakarta - Excellent pool with a beautiful garden around it. Feels like a oasis of calm in busy yogyakarta. Rooms were spacious and clean. Friendly staff and well designed lobby with a good calm and quiet atmosphere. The water pressure in the shower is not the best.
- Edward (10/5): Great experience and value for money. - Incredible accommodation that exceeded expectations. Great common areas, friendly and helpful staff, and atmosphere. Great experience and value for money. The breakfast was a little disappointing, but a minor point.
- Yohanes (7/5): Nice place, keep it up
Next time I visit Jogja I'll stay again -
- Joanne (7/5): Seasoned travellers - Lovely traditional Javanese style hotel complex, with well maintained gardens and pool area. We stayed in a deluxe room on the upper floor and enjoyed relaxing on the balcony. Bed was comfortable, although an option of another pillow would have been good.
I liked the hotel's approach to sustainability, offering free desalinated water in the form of big refill bottles. They also used glass jugs with potable water in the rooms instead of plastic bottles. Also soap, shampoo and conditioner in reusable bottles. I think they need to move away from putting other products such as toothbrush etc in the rooms and maybe have them available free of charge, but only should the guest request them. Less waste this way.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfasts were tasty (nasi goreng) but the same every day. A greater selection would be nice and much better value. The fruit juice was watered down and tasteless.
Also an additional pillow on the bed and cushions on the balcony.
- J. (10/5): - This was a great value and oasis in a busy town. The staff was very friendly and helpful especially Dhuri in the hotel restaurant.
- Mette (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely quiet oasis in the busy city!
Just the perfect place.
- Suzanne (9/5): I could’ve stayed in the pool all day. - The pool. So lovely! And unexpectedly serene given the busy street. Our room was quiet too. A little dated, but in a good way. Fantastic value for the price. The one fat pillow, which gave me a stiff neck.
- Dmitry (9/5): Amazing site in the historical heart of Java island - Everythung was great. Swimming pool was large enough for swimming and clean. Breakfast was full and tasty. Friendly staff and reasonable location. Definitely could be recommended.
- Brit (7/5): nice place, nice design and good value for money! - nice place, perfect location. the swimming pool, the spa! the bathroom had seen its best days
- Lisa (9/5): Charming hotel to chill out in Yogya - Gorgeous rooms with colourful tiles and interesting decorations around the hotel. I loved our daybed out amongst the treetops. Friendly, helpful and caring staff. Beautiful gardens and pool and a very good breakfast. A large selection of books available for loan. The hotel is quite a long way from the centre of town so you would need your own transport, or be willing to pay for taxis or becaks, to get around to see things or to get to Malioboro St. There are not a lot of food options around the hotel ( or not that we saw anyway) except for the large supermarket a few doors up. But if being away from the centre of town doesn’t bother you, this is a very good choice in Yogyakarta.
