• Walsh (4/5): - It was a good location and the room was clean, even if quite old-fashioned. There wasn't enough hot water for two of us to have a shower. It went cold during my son's shower. The TV wouldn't connect to Wifi so we couldn't log into our Netflix account on it. I have to use a knife to get the button to pop out on the microwave. There was no air-conditioning.

The facilities were perfect. Just overall really worth the money. The location is perfect. And yes I would recommend them. Thank you Motel Sierra for making our stay a pleasant one. • Mei (5/5): - We enjoyed location and cleanliness of the rooms. We travel NZ alot and have stayed in plenty of Motels, and happy to say cleanliness was exceptional. Was quite disappointed with the family room being unavailable due to covid which is now going on 6yrs from pandemic. I'm a registered nurse, so to hear this, was abit devasting as this was one of the main reasons we booked here. Also, kids playing in the pool were told to be quiet. I understand there is a "quiet enjoyment policy" within reasonal hours of the day but "kids will be kids" and if their enjoying themselves without causing harm and being loud because their having fun playing, it should be considered a good thing. Other than that, stay was fair

We were threatened to be kicked out because we were laughing too loud with our family, a warning would've been OK but not a threat to be thrown out in the middle of the night, that was uncalled for. I will never come back to this motel again

• Prem Nado (9/5): Given that the motel was close to the airport, it was most convenient. - The motel was convenient and the staff were very helpful. In fact, we stayed there on our way out and again on our return. Everything was to or liking
• Craig (6/5): Good location. Needs updating. - Good to have two bedrooms. Plenty of space for 3 adults. Right on bypass and therefore to Kamo, Kensington and town. Right on bypass road so some traffic noise. Rooms and appliances need updating, especially bathroom which had no bench space and an old, step up, slippery shower box.

The unit was cold, no heatpump and couldn't find heater..Went to reception twice and was given very small fan heater..Closed off bedroom as wouldnt heat unit plus in there..Did not use bedroom as too cold and bed hard... Very bare, no ambiance... Small TV faulty, pixilated continuously.. No welcoming book or info..No shampoo/cond/soap/showercap or hairdryer..Just softsoap on wall. Small 2 seater couch for unit that sleeps four.. Hot water boiling out of tap. Worst motel we have stayed in..Cold, bare real dissapointment as wanted bath and separate bedroom and prepared to pay extra which we did..

• Megan (9/5): Superb - The owners are lovely, the room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The shower was great, even though it was over the bath. Great having the toilet separate. Near quite a main road so started a little noisy but was not a problem during the night. I would have liked to see a mirror somewhere in the main area, and shampoo, conditioner and a hair dryer in the bathroom.
• Larry (10/5): My first choice motel at Whangarei - Everything was perfect. This was my third stay with my work group. Everyone was happy. In particular, the unit was very quiet, warm, and comfortable. Sierra provides two pillows for each of us: a thicker one and a thinner one. This is so thoughful that everyone can find their best suitable pillow! It is such small details that make the service outstanding! Nothing at all.
• Donna (6/5): Pleasant - Close to where we needed to be The room was comfortable, but there were spiders and webs in the toilet area. We booked a room for 3 people and we ran out of hot water on the first night after 2 showers. The spa pool has not been working since pre covid.

• Larry (10/5): A very comfortable stay with thanks - A very comfortable stay. Central location with easy walking distance to local shops. It is located on main street but it is very quiet at night. I had a very good sleep even if I am a light sleeper. The room was very tidy and the bed was very comfortable. The motel host Kath was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back again. Nothing at all.
