Guest Reviews
- Onomhoi Brai (8/5): - It is a quiet and clean place. Nice to stay in.
- Dianne (10/5): -
- Lecouffe (8/5): - Clean, easy communication
- Monuina (10/5): - Great place to stay, I even got to check in early. Thank you for that Paravista. I stayed on ground level in room 3 and loved it. Aircon and fan in room to keep cool. Surrounded by trees, provided alot of shade and kept the room even cooler. Smart TV, free wifi, free parking and clean pool. Communal kitchen on level 3, all kitchen utensils available to make a meal. Very clean and quiet, very safe place to stay. Close to tavern for meals if wanting to eat out.
- Deirdre (9/5): -
- Matthew (8/5): Friendly, budget, clean - Excellent value
- Andrew (10/5): Shane was very friendly and helpful, facilities were clean and the the location is perfect - Location is perfect Nothing
- Taylor (10/5): Lovely relaxing stay , spacious rooms - Rooms were clean , comfortable and spacious. Plenty of room for our 4 large suitcases. Fresh Towels and soaps ect. provided , staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing , the location is slightly outside the city (5 min drive) which we wanted , peaceful place and we had great nights sleep.
- Lara (9/5): Fresh, quiet and clean - What a lovely, exceptionally clean and well maintained budget hotel is Paravista .Set in a tropical atmosphere, and super quiet,I just loved it.
- Mcfarlane (5/5): - The beautiful receptionist was absolutely wonderful. The old caretaker or owner shouldn't be around what a pompous old grumpy fart. Beautiful pool. No elevator so plenty of stairs. Great location close to CBD food and plenty to do.
- STEPHEN (9/5): Comfortable - Location was perfect
- Gabriella (10/5): - The property was beautiful, tidy and quiet Nothing
- Lea (10/5): -
- Brian (10/5): -
- Gillianne (6/5): Good location near the NT Museum and sunset views from Fannie Bay. - Location Strange layout. The pool is right up front and the hotel down the back of the block.
- Karen (10/5): - The front desk staff was so accommodating, incredibly kind patient and welcoming. We enjoyed the cool comfort of the room and the pool -- it was everything we needed after a few weeks in the outback. Thanks for the stay! The location was a bit far for enjoying Darwin on foot -- we were here for Anzac Day but had a 1hr walk to get downtown by 5:50am... needless to say, it was a bit of a trek to get to the city centre without transit or a car. That said, we had everything we needed and didn't really need to get around much, so the location suited our needs.
- Kekeno71 (7/5): Great location to base yourself from - Nice pool, great location close to the markets and the beaches, and not too far from the airport and other places we needed to get to. The room was fine and did the job. The hotel was being renovated while we were staying so many rooms not available, and not many staff around if you needed to top up toiletries or tea/coffee etc.
- Brian (10/5): -
- Jerome (6/5): Nice place but no service ! - The staff was nice, but it seems like only one person works here, which I’m not sure is enough.
The building has a good vibe, but there is construction work on every floor.
There is a laundry room and a kitchen, which are convenient. I stayed for a week and didn't get any cleaning service in my room for $900 a week!
I asked to have my bedding changed once, but it was not done as promised.
No one cleaned the bathroom, emptied the bins, etc.
I met one guest who was looking for toilet paper, just like me!
That's really unfortunate considering the price paid.
I am not sure that the Marriott (for the same price) in the CBD offers the same level of service!
No deckchairs by the swimming pool as shown in the Booking.com photos.
Mold in the boiler. Expired milk in the fridge.
Anyway: a lot to do — or just charge $50 a night.
- Cheryl (10/5): - Well my experience was wonderful to stay there it was peace and quiet no distractions it is a good place to stay in thank you It was all about peace and quiet no distraction and a good night sleep.
- Singh (7/5): -
- Nilar (8/5): - No need deposit
- karen (10/5): Best location, close to everything, - Location is the best for me and the parking parking available is perfect Nothing to dislike
- Benita (10/5): Quiet, friendly, relaxed and easily with the price. - It was such a quiet place! Also, just around the corner from the Parap Village Market - great for finding some breakfast, local trinkets, souvenirs and cultural pieces on the weekend. The bathroom tiles were no "for me". But, the water pressure was great, the shower was new and the room as a whole was very comfortable.
- Karen (4/5): Ok for one night stay. Needs some love and attention to cleanliness - Location was good for our needs, one night stay on arrival before picking up vechile. It was quiet. Online pictures misleading regarding size and condition. Maybe that was just our room. We are not high end travellers. Cleanliness was a bit poor.
Hairs in shower. Stuck substances in basin. Cobwebs in room
- Margaret (7/5): -
- Tracy (10/5): -
- Alison (9/5): Really convenient, very friendly host, safe and secure. - I was on the top floor (even though there is no lift - this was my request) and I loved it! Up with the birdies, and also having a community kitchen was really useful as I was there for the week. I would have liked to have had better shower pressure and a bedside lamp.
- Mitcheson (9/5): -
- Belinda (5/5): -
- Rebecca (1/5): Utterly repulsive room with completely absent staff. - Nothing. I was so repulsed that I had to leave. The only 'likable' aspect was the price but given the unserviceable condition of the room I received this ended up being a complete waste of money. Avoid!! Infested with cockroaches with numerous live and dead roaches found in both bedside tables and elsewhere. Some kind of small BUGS in the BED! Sheets appeared used. Mildew and thick dust in cupboards. Filthy surfaces everywhere. The room appeared to be mid-renovation. Ashtray overflowing with butts on balcony. Fire exit not in compliance. Staff were completely unavailable on via phone and front desk. Smelled bad funky. Personal effects from a previous occupant were found. After failing to contact staff I left to find safe and clean accommodation elsewhere. Avoid this festy ghetto dump!

- Peta (9/5): - Great position ... close to shops, great walk to the beach (and the Ski Club!) and convenient buses into the city.

- brian (9/5): - Availability of a kitchen lack of elevator
- Wendy (10/5): Reception staff delightful - really happy to help - N/A
- Colin (8/5): . - . .
- Wendy (3/5): No elevator - Location was close to Mindil Market. Quiet street. I felt the manager was condescending on the phone when I rang to confirm after hours check in. The keys were left in a letterbox that anyone could just access. Even though there didn't appear to be many guests staying, we saw two other people, we were put on the top floor with no elevator. We had to lug our bags up the stairs to level 4 at 12.30 in the morning, my daughter being pregnant and myself just shy of 60 with dodgy knees. I felt like we were staying in a hostel. There were ants crawling all over the wall behind our pillows so we had to pull the bed away from the wall, holes in the fly screen. A smoke alarm kept going off all night and the next morning. There was stuff everywhere just being stored in the hallway. The pictures online looked much more appealing than in real life. I would not stay here again.
- Opat (1/5): - Nil One staff member was unfriendly ( an older gentleman ) and gave feelings not welcome . He was rude and we won't go back there again.
There was waster dripping from the ceiling in the bathroom.
We were therefore for 5 nights , no one came to tidy the room for us, and we needed to dispose bins liners ourselves a few times.
We didn't have a good experience there.
- Richard (7/5): - Location is good, there is a room for laundry and also a kitchen. The guy at the reception is really friendly. No elevator
- Gordon (7/5): -
- Colin (8/5): -

- Kay (9/5): -
- Kaylene (8/5): -
- Aleksandra (7/5): Great location, very helpful staff clean and quiet room - Very good staff quiet clean room Water jar in the fridge, napkins/tissues close to the bed table
The light over the bed was too strong, good for reading but not as a cosy warm light for the evening relaxing time
- Lisa (9/5): - After staying at an airport hotel - with doors slamming and so much noise, I lived staying at this very quiet hotel in a lovely suburb outside the city.
The parap market is awesome. The location was very convenient to the things we were doing in Darwin. It was great!
- Tracey (8/5): Very nice staff - Good location close to everything. Staff were great Leak coming through the roof in bathroom
- Kirsten (10/5): - Great quiet location but still close to the water and the city. Room 8 is a good choice; lovely little balcony with heaps of greenery. The staff are unfailingly helpful. Nothing
