Philip (8/5): Nice stay. Very friendly staff. - A really friendly welcome. This is an older motel but well presented. It would be a quite easy walk, maybe 15 minutes, into the main centre. The unit was clean, and the beds comfortable. The bathroom and shower were clean. We wanted to use our own PC to connect to Netflix and the office lady changed the cable quickly for us. There is a good heat pump that kept the unit warm overnight. Parking was right at the unit's door. Carpet was older but in good condition and seemed clean. The motel area is quiet at night. No issues.

It's the first motel in NZ and Australia over the past 2 months that doesn't have liquid soap dispenser in the bathroom. Instead there are small bars of soap and a little sachet of shampoo/ conditioner that went nowhere near to cleaning my long hair. There's only one sachet of ground coffee enough for 1 or 2 small cups. No tissues, no extras. I thought that was poor. The bed wasn't very comfortable. Every time you moved it would bounce and wake your partner. The floor around the kitchen area is very slippery if you are wearing socks. The bathroom is tired. The bath seal is very grotty. Not the best stay.

TOM (8/5): Joe looked after us so well and made our stay very enjoyable despite the weather - We had a great room with a separate lounge diner which worked out very well as it rained solid for 2 days and we spent much more time in the apt than we would with good weather The property was well positioned, close to all amenities without being too busy.

Mariana (10/5): Fantastic little gem to stay - worth a visit - What a fabulous little gem - this motel exceeded my expectations, price wise and the quality of the room. It was located in a quiet area with town nearby. Considering its freezing right now, the room was exceptionally warm and very comfortable. The owner was fantastic as well. Will definitely come back and stay here again.

Derek (10/5): Excellent.... - Very clean and comfortable. We arrived late but the staff at Ashbrook were very welcoming. We travel to Taupo a lot and would recommend this property to all. We will definitely be staying there again and will recommend to all our friends and family. no reasons to not like this property.

Felix (9/5): Fantastic stay - One of the best motels I’ve stayed in. Clean, cosy rooms and a perfect location. The staff are so friendly—they even brought us homemade cupcakes one day. Highly recommend. The parallel parking in from of the room is a bit tight and can be a bit tricky for big cars. However there seems to be a few extra spaces around just not at the front of the room.
