It was spacious, tasteful, well equipped and very comfortable. Ideally located to enjoy everything that Hamner Springs has to offer. Very reasonably priced, particularly for all it provided. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Cannot fault anything.

• Emma (7/5): Relaxing and lovely to be so close to the centre allowing our younger teens to be able to have freedom to do their own t - Proximity We have stayed here a lot when it was owned by the previous owners and really enjoyed our stay in every way which was why we picked it again. The units definitely need some work. We had a kitchen draw front missing, broken fridge door and vege container, noticeable marks on the walls and carpet. It was clean and the beds were very comfortable but the standard as a whole was not to same level as what it had been when we had stayed there previously.

• Ngareta (10/5): Superb comfort and location for families - I have stayed here quite a few times over the past and is always my first choice due to the comfort and location the apartments offer and I also love the May Chang shampoo/conditioner and handwash they supply and nice to see this hasn't changed over the years, also great to support local businesses. The beds are too soft, I have said this before.

Room was very warm and snuggly which helps when travelling with kids in mid-winter! Unfortunately there were some small things that needed fixing like the shower head was facing the wrong way which made washing difficult but hubby ended up fixing.

Phenomenally comfortable beds, very good bathrooms and the living and kitchen set ups were fabulous. The outdoor seating area and outlook over the wee lake were quiet and comfortable. Large bathroom with generous pump bottles of soap, hand cream, shampoo and conditioner - nice touch. We paid $420 a night - a little disappointed no courtesy milk in fridge on arrival, and no offer of room service during our stay - it would have been a nice gesture - however, plenty of bath linen supplied for two guests.
