Wifi was not working most of the time. Or really weak. While it was like the pictures, it could be renovated. Furnitures are outdated. Carpet and sofa had stains.

• Sibley (2/5): Did not stay - Nothing. Booking online, the photos showed the motel in great condition, like new and the flower beds were beautiful and lush. Entering the car park, which we couldn't access at first due to road works, was the 1st issue. Seeing the motel for what it was, I could see this was not how it presented in the photos. It looked run down and old uninviting. The office staff where polite but the office was and untidy & dirty, the carpet not vacuumed. I knew what to expect the moment I walked into the office. Our accommodation was awful. Old, run down and the decor tasteless, it just felt unclean and unappealing. It did not meet our expectations at all. The bathroom and toilet were horrible, and the bed looked old and rickety and uncomfortable. I cancelled the night's stay because I knew my husband & I would not be comfortable for 65+ year olds. I would not recommend this motel to anyone.

• Samuel m (1/5): - Pillows The treatment l got after l was about to check out when l noticed my car had locked itsself .l told them what had happened and l had to call locksmith which was on a weekend he couldnt come before 2pm saturday the 11th of april.the lock smith tried to open it and he failed so the van stayed there the night.next day sunday morning receive harsh messages from asian management team threatening to get my van impounded if its not moved by 2pm.l went to explain to them that l am teying to get another lock smith to come and open b4 12 midday .this asian lady called me throwing all insults and threats and couldnt even listen to my plea that l am waiting for locksmith.finally the locksmith and my big bro got there b4 12 and opened and moved the van but whilst they were there the asian guy kept on insulting them with threats as if there was a crime that has been .On top of that this asian manager went on to charge on my card another 130 booking claiming he lost a booking cause of my van being parked on room 17 which makes no sense.there lots of free parking and l feel this is theft .l will be persuing this matter even l will be going to newspapers about it.the standards of service there has gone down .

The rooms however are tired and in real need of a refresh. There was no shelf in the shower, there was mould on the ceiling in the bathroom and the sink was stained. The couch was very uncomfortable. The motel is on a main road so the traffic was noisy throughout the night. We didn't expect a lot given the price but as mentioned, a refresh is needed.

• David (5/5): Simple basic motel in Invercargill - We needed a two-bedroom unit which were difficult to find in Invercargill at a reasonable price. This motel also had a communal laundry for $2 each washer and dryer (honesty box). The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Parking- one car allocation per motel. Despite being on a main road, we were not disturbed at night by traffic noise. The couch needs replacing- we could see (and feel) the springs through the wrinkled upholstery and it looked dilapidated, although clean. For a unit that sleeps 4, there was only lounge seating for 3 people- one had to use a dining chair. The kitchen was sparsely furnished with cooking utensils, especially for microwave cooking- only one pyrex jug, no bowls apart from dining crockery. Overall the unit is dated and in need of a good update, although carpet was fine, but it was adequate if your standards are not high. There were some rather odd rudimentary wall hangings on the bedroom walls- looked like a child had made them- would have been more attractive with no wall hangings than what was there- even a couple of simple attractive cheap pictures from The Warehouse would have been better than what was there. In saying that, the motel was adequate if all you need is a place to sleep and won't be spending much time there.

• TRADING LIMITED (9/5): Thank you so much ☺️ - Whenever we travel to Invercargill for work, this motel is always our first choice. We stay here many times throughout the year, and it never disappoints. The rooms are consistently clean, tidy, and well-maintained—absolutely excellent.

• David (9/5): Good choice for our stay in Invercargill - Bavarian Motel - Invercargill Pros - parking outside your room - good sized lounge room with comfortable couch facing the tv - kitchenette with fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle cutlery, crockery etc - decent sized dining table with 3 comfortable chairs - desk with 4 power points. - room heater - separate bedroom with a queen + single bed & wall heater - 2nd tv in bedroom ( both providing free to air tv & easy to use ) - large ensuite with heated towel rail Cons - nothing really Only comment is that the place is a little dated, however we had a comfortable 2 night stay, and even although it was on the main road, traffic noise was not really noticeable. Nothing to not like.

• Zane (8/5): Great location near supermarkets, ideal room to relax after a long drive. - My fiancé and I stayed in this hotel back in 2023 and it is a great room in an ideal location. I believe the owners have listened to feedback from our previous stay as there were a lot more outlets and power boards in the rooms to be able to charge devices (previously we had to take turns charging our phones in the kitchen). The kitchen is clean and well equipped to cook any meals you would like. The bed is comfortable, and the couch in the lounge room is a great place to wind down after a long day of driving. The staff did take a little while to come to reception, however when I called the mobile number on the door they promptly came and apologised for missing the bell. Apart from the staff not attending to the reception (which was rectified when I called the mobile number on the door) this hotel is great with everything that you need! We will definitely stay here again.
