- Jillian (5/5): A bit of a disappointment, but ok for a brief stay - The unit was clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable. The motel is conveniently located near where I needed to be in Orewa. I have stayed there in the past and it was cheap and cheerful. Now it looks sadly run down. No staff onsite, just an email with my room number and key box code. If I'd known that in advance I would've gone elsewhere. Whilst the unit was very clean and tidy, the whole place had a bit of a neglected and dated look about it. Toilet cistern over-due for replacement, chain on door rusty, peeling paint on windows sills...it all just looked quite sad.The lighting was poor, making the place quite dark. I missed the personal touch.

Um zum schönen Strand zu gelangen, überquert man nur die Straße. Einmal waren bei unserer Rückkehr am Abend die Fenster geöffnet und die Türe nicht abgeschlossen obwohl wir beim Verlassen der Unterkunft alles geschlossen hatten. Zum Glück war nichts entwendet worden. Es wäre gut, wenn Insektengitter an den Fenstern angebracht wären.

The sofa was old and although covered it had 2 hollows where folk sit. Had to sit on a cushion on it to make it comfortable. The surrounding garden was tired and had weeds.

- Connell (6/5): Great town and beach. I know it is a very old building but PLEASE a little maintenance does wonders. - The location was perfect, right near beach, shops, takeaways and restaurants. The cleaners were very good although the language barrier made it hard to communicate with them. There a quite a few things that need attention. It would be nice to have a 2nd key so tenants could come and go without having to leave key in lockbox which was awkward for some to open. The windows and security stays need lubricating and adjusting to make them open and shut more easily, as do the doors. The front door jambs at the bottom. The table on the deck is too small for six persons to sit around comfortably. The bath is very slippery and needs a rubber mat to stand on. There a very few towel rails for six people. A long rope clothesline is needed outside to hang towels and clothes outside to dry. The light in the fridge does not work and the kitchen is quite hard to see inside even with the ceiling lights on. The most important think is the faucet in the kitchen. It needs attaching to the bench more securely. It is stiff hard to turn form hot to cold and the whole tap turns around and slips under the overhead shelf. To turn it back you need to hold it with a towel as it is so hot to hold with bare hands and is a safety issue. Being an ex-builder I could have fixed most if I had my tools with me. However, we did have a very ENJOYABLE time.

- Serene (9/5): Exceptional value for great location - Easy booking and check-in. Parking right by the door of our property. Great value for money. Exceptional location right by the beach and shops. The fan was dusty and looked unclean. Neighbours smoking right outside. Noisy creaky building.

- Rachel (1/5): - It needs a total revamp. Not what was in pictures. We were unable to stay due to these reasons and it ruined our holiday over new years as we were left with no where else to go last minute. Very disappointed.
- DANIELLE (9/5): - Excellent location! almost straight across from the walkway to the beach and town is very handy across the street the other way. Beach was amazing, soft sand and generally peaceful fun! Unit itself was nice but was not a 2bedroom place like stated, two beds in one room and a third in the lounge so we simply shuffled the beds to put the children in the lounge together. Otherwise great, comfy beds and everything we needed including kitchen items. There wasn't two bedrooms as stated on the listing.

- Pamela (7/5): Fanastic location near shops & beach. Very tidy & clean units. Good parking. - Proximity to beach & shops was excellent. Couch not very comfortable to sit in.
