• andrewjburns77 (8/5): Good facilities and venue but not sure I would stay in downtown - As far as back packers go this one was clean and tidy. It was reasonable easy to find and had good parking. I would avoid arriving in Auckland at rush hour time and there was also a rugby game on made the traffic more challenging. Next time I would plan to arrive late morning/early afternoon

• fadda (7/5): - The place is reasonably clean. Close to everything I needed to go to, and generally not a bad stay as far as backpackers in that price range go. It's a backpackers, so never really the best place to stay, but decent value for money. The pillows are very much on the thin side, which makes rest a little less than fulfilling. I would advise to bring your own pillow, other than that it's not a bad stay for that price range. I'd advise a room at a hotel if you've got the cash to splurge, but it's fairly priced

• Jessica (2/5): Grose and disgusting. - location, own bathroom. black mould that was thick inside bottom of shower, cockroaches crawling on ceiling and walls, also a broken panel from the ceiling that was almost falling off., emailed the property about a refund but no reply, as they werent at reception.

• Lee (6/5): - Cockroaches coming out from the walls and carpet, I saw 2 cockroaches making there way to my bag in the middle of the night.also , I filmed one cockroach crawling along the walls and disappeared into a crack. I stayed awake all night on edge. I still have the video on my phone.

• Jessica (7/5): Good for what you get. - Location, private room was near shared bathrooms, secure room. Private room no bathroom needed a fan. Shower floors under and near rubber mats need cleaning and also so steam can get through the vents above showers they need the dust cleaned off them.

• Tara (7/5): If you want the very basics in a good location and a room with your own bathroom at a cheap price.. - I had my own shower and bathroom. It was in a good location. I arrived late and had no trouble checking in. The linen could be replaced.

• natalia (6/5): - - the price Unfortyunately there is no parking. I know it's very cheap, but they advertised parking. That's the reason i booked it. The staff should at very least be able to give us an advice. We left the car for a moment to figure out how parking in the city works (the staff didn't know) and within minutes, the hostel security guy wanted to call a towing car! However He didn't mind people shouting at our windows all night long. - it's an accommeodation for Indian/Pakistani workers not backpackers. The fridges were full of curry. You cousln't put anything in it. I don't leave 1star only because it's very cheap but woulsn't stay again.

• abrams (5/5): Stay at a hostel on Waiheke island, beautiful, Auckland is nothing special, actually boring. - Staff was helpful for downloading, explaining how to use uber, & directions to the harbor. Private room was good size. Go to the hostel on Waiheke island. Beautiful island, warm ocean swimming, & wine tasting. At Silver Fern hostel, there was a deathly ill customer, in the shower next to me, with the loudest sustained coughing & hacking. I ended up with a sore throat. The next day, he was at it again, I went downstairs to the staff to try to get him kicked out, but it was 8:50am, & the staff is only there from 9-9. At 9 he was gone. The guy belonged in a hospital. Imagine paying money to get sick on a vacation.

• Clara (1/5): j’aurais préféré ne rester qu’une nuit - le personnel de la réception avait l’air sympathique - le cafard mort ecrasé pres de mon lit - les hommes sales avec qui j’ai du partagé ma chambre qui mangeaient, buvaient et roulaient leur joints dans la chambre alors meme que c’est interdit - l’odeur de renfermé intense ( couplée à l’odeur de la personne visiblement sans abri qui dormait au dessus de moi et qui n’a pas pris de douche du sejour - meme si l’hostel n’y peut rien il y a un manque visible d’aération) - le quartier qui est un quartier peu rassurant - le manque de lockers dans la chambre : il n’y en avait pas assez et etaient tous pris - la propreté en general de ma chambre : mouchoirs sales, taches sur la moquette , tag sur le mur etc

• Johana (1/5): No se hospeden aqui - El hostal tiene muchas cosas que mejorar, el ambiente, la limpieza, las personas que se hospedan ahí, mantener el orden, lugar muy viejo y deteriorado, personas que están en el lugar por ,mucho tiempo y no conservan el aseo. Las personas que se alojan en este hostal son muy raras y hasta tienen problemas de adicciones. El hostal tiene muchas cosas que mejorar, el ambiente, la limpieza, las personas que se hospedan ahí, mantener el orden, lugar muy viejo y deteriorado, personas que están en el lugar por ,mucho tiempo y no conservan el aseo. Las personas que se alojan en este hostal son muy raras y hasta tienen problemas de adicciones.

Impossible de se sentir safe au vu des personnes qui séjournent dans cet établissement. Aucune place pour mettre notre nourriture nous n’avons même pas pu nous servir de la cuisine. semblable à un squat plutôt qu’à une auberge de voyageurs

• Garcia del Castillo (4/5): - Los chicos del check-in le pusieron onda. La cocina una mugre igual que las habitaciones, la misma taza tirada en el piso las 4 noches que estuve. No es culpa de los encargados, son los mochileros que son HIPER DESAGRADABLES e IRRESPETUOSOS. La gente en noche buena tomando alcohol en los pasillos y durmiendo en la cocina. El dealer en la puerta del hostel. Ni la poronga de la ballena azul es tan grande como este Hostel. Puede mejorar muchísimo.

• Maëlys (8/5): Très bien si vous prenez une chambre privée - Grande chambre avec salle de bain privative, Proximité du centre ville, personnel agréable, wifi disponible. Pas de nuisance sonore la nuit.

La propreté laisse un peu à désirer, il y a des odeurs désagréables un peu partout dans les chambres et les parties communes. Je pense que les tapis et les canapés auraient besoin d'un bon coup de propre.
