A bedside lamp near the2 single beds would have been great. Really minor though! The room was very comfortable and a good size.

- Deirdre (8/5): Handy location in Central Greytown - Great location! We stay here every year for Harvest. The bus leaves from just around the corner and we park our cars and get our room keys before we head off for the day, from the lovely staff. So handy! NA

Upon returning, we found that the room was already being cleaned and we were unable to use the bathroom. The cleaner was adamant that we couldn't return to the room. This was 10.20 with a checkout time of 11.00..

- Judy (5/5): Passable - The positioning of the motel was brilliant. We could walk to all the Christmas lights, parade, snow, fireworks etc The service and pleasantness and willingness of the lovely young lady doing the rooms was outstanding .. which made up a little for the slightly abrupt attitude of the hosts. The shower was great, once you got in (see below), lovely and warm with heaps of pressure It had a 2 person coffee plunger that worked well. Very close to places you could get meals out at. Although close to all the Mid Winter Christmas stuff and crowds the Motel was lovely and quiet. The room stated that it had a seating area and it stated it had a dining area. Sadly they were the same thing. 1 chair either side of a very small table and the only way to watch the TV was sitting on the bed. It also stated it had airconditioning. A single heater and a dehumidifier are not airconditioning. It stated it had a kitchenette. This actually meant it had a microwave and a fridge with a small work surface over. There was no sink or water other than in the bathroom. The ownwers had put a cooktop in and a pot and frying pan for us, but we did not use these as did not feel the area was really workable. Basically, if you want to self cater this motel is not for you, unless there is other rooms where you can. Ask the hosts before to make sure. They are willing to wash your dishes, and do, but this implies you only use 1 plate, cup etc all day unless you wash your own in the bathroom handbasin which was not deep enough for this. The room seemed clean but when the toilet seat moved slightly it was very obvious that some deeper cleaning was necessary here. Another point to note for larger people. The shower door hinge is far too far along making the gap to get into it when the door is open definitely on the narrow side. Most adults would need to go in sidewards. A handtowel would have been nice too, so that the towels were not partly wet before showering. A note to older people and those with slight mobility issues. The step up to get onto the veranda in front of the motels is on the high side. A paver in front on the ground level would help here. There is a ramp at one end of the veranda that can be used but not initially obvious. Apart from the above we did have an enjoyable stay in Greytown. The weather was glorious and our room was lovely and sunny.

- Sue (6/5): - Its well placed in the centre of Greytown. And it has a very good heat pump and a very comfy bed. However....it is not a comfortable or easy motel to be in. The couch and kitchen chairs are heavy steel framed very hard and uncomfortable furniture. And....there is no sink or water facility in the kitchen area. There is only a microwave which is so high (obviously put in by a man) that it is dangerous to get hot food out of. It dudnt seem very hygenic to be washing dishes in the bathroom sink where you wash your teeth and hands. This motel was not cheap $500 for 2 nights and in my opinion doesnt meet approved hygene standards re the lack of washing facilities.

Outside lighting was poor or non existent I had to help a lady guest who arrived At night to find her unit then find her Light switches inside it….this is an accident waiting to happen. We would never stay in this Motel again

- Bonnie (6/5): most expensive motel we stayed in but not the best - Booked 3 nights here as we were visiting friends in Greytown. The curtain by the entrance door was dirty on arrival . The room had an aircooler not an air-conditioning unit, which required regularly topping up with water and freezer packs and was noisy . A small bottle of milk was provided on arrival but a request for some additional milk the next day was met with directions to the Dairy or Supermarket. Having travelled extensively over many years this is the first time we have met with such penny pinching.Based on our experience with the noisy air cooler We wouldn't book here again or recommend .
