• JohnTF (8/5): Adequate, comfortable and convenient - This place is ideal if you’re after somewhere comfortable to rest and recharge, with all the basic facilities you need. The short walking distance to the restaurants, shops, and town centre was a huge bonus and really added to the overall experience. Parking was convenient enough, and overall the stay exceeded our expectations for the price and location. If you go in knowing the property is a little visually dated and are simply looking for a comfortable place to rest and sleep, then it definitely serves its purpose well. Nothing major to complain about overall.

Staff informed and promised action but nothing happened Kitchen area was filthy. No heat in bathroom - had to take a heater form a bedroom to plug in which was not a safe solution

• Jennifer (7/5): Overall it wasn't a cheap motel but despite the negatives above would still book again as so convenient to town. - Couldn't have been a better location just a short walk to the centre. The unit was very spacious. Towels and tea towels were supplied in abundance. A lot of niggly faults which weren't addressed. The local tv channel didn't work, only semi hot water for showers, parking very tight and need to park early as only so many available, only one pillow each.

Dirt on vanity and carpets, someone’s business card behind an obscure painting on the wall, and the light in the service alley behind the unit I stayed in was on all night shining into the unit I stayed in as there was no door between the kitchen and bedroom.

La gente desubicada estacionaba sobre la línea del otro lugar de al lado y si llegabas a cierta hora te quedabas sin lugar porque te dejaban medio espacio para un auto. La recepción cerraba a las 20 y no tenías a quién reclamar. El precio era como de un hotel 4 estrellas y esto era un "nido de ratas".

• Brian (5/5): - The location was great and the view was great. We knew it was a bit old. But the Bathroom was clean as was the rest of apartment, we have no complaints about the room. However there was not a lot of Hot Water. First night there was no pressure and almost no hot water. After a complaint, the plumber was called and that night the show was much better, but the next night the pressure dropped off again and there was slightly warm. In the morning the temprature was better.

The room was not cleaned once during our stay, however an abundance of hand and bath towels delivered daily ?. The motel was a tired mid 50s style motel - its location and view the only redeeming features An expensive backpackers !

• Joanne (4/5): Terrible except for the view - Only redeeming features were the view and location This place is just disappointing. More than dated, the accommodation needs a lot of maintenance. Worst of all, the showers dribbled hot water and it was a guess whether you could rinse the soap off.

We had been lying on plastic which resulted in our restless nights. the walls near the stove were splattered in others peoples cooking. the water kept turning off in both the kitchen sick and the shower. it took around 4-5 mins to come back on. the skirting boards were thick with dirt. no staff could be found to report issues. there was no room service. new towels would arrive around 5pm after we had gone out for tea

Limited car parking too. The facilities need updating and the mould in the shower was a worry.

No room in the tiny kitchen to put the kettle, it could only be used on top of the microwave. The toaster only in the small bathroom on the sink .. it’s very dated & no money is being spent to modernise it .. the view in the lake is the selling point only .. beds were just ok .. Staff were great, the parking is minimal & not enough for the amount of units .. first in first served
• Sandra & Dirk (8/5): Top Lage, Hotel renovierungsbedürftig, trotzdem eine Empfehlung wert - die Lage ist mit direktem Seeblick absolut top, die vorgelagerte Straße sollte man dabei einfach ausblenden, da der Lärm schon deutlich vorhanden ist. Dennoch haben wir die Nacht gut geschlafen. Die fußläufige Nähe zum Zentrum ist ebenfalls ein großer Vorteil dieser Hotellage. Im Gesamtvergleich ist das Preisleistungsverhältnis in Ordnung und sofern kann man das Hotel weiter empfehlen Das Hotel ist deutlich in die Jahre gekommen und optisch (insbesondere im rückwärtigen Bereich) nicht ansprechend. Grundsätzlich müsste das gesamte Gebäude kernsaniert werden. Aber alles notwendige ist vorhanden und hat funktioniert.

• Marilyn Roy (7/5): Great value accommodation. Would not hesitate to recommend it to others. - Great view of Lake Wakatipu from the room. Great location. Not luxury, but very comfortable over our nine nights there. The convenience of two bedrooms was great for a couple and friend. Very handy to town and all it had to offer. Parking could be a bit of an issue at times as it was limited and very tight.

Big patch of black mould on ceiling above shower. No attempt appears to have been made to clean it up. We were told a plumber was attending but staining and mould appeared to have been there for some time. Fridge and seal broken. Kitchen very dated and lacked basic cooking equipment such as sharp knife.

• Jinju (5/5): 숙박비 결제 방법 바꿔달라고 하니 절대 안된다고 답변하는 최악의 매너 - 호수 바로 옆에 있었던 점 버스 정류장이 비교적 가까운 점 욕실 온도 조절 대단히 어려움, 수압은 씻을 수 없을 정도로 낮음. 온수가 한시간 넘게 아예 나오지 않아 씻기를 포기하고 나옴. 숙박비 선결제 기능이 없고 카드 사용 시 수수료가 3%나 추가발생하여 결제를 위해 현금을 준비해왔으나 만약의 경우를 대비해 기록해둔 내 신용카드로 체크인 당일 아침에 숙박비 홀랑 결제됨. 체크인하면서 신용카드 결제 취소하고 현금결제로 바꿔달라고 하니 미리 현금결제할테니 신용카드 결제하지 말라는 연락을 내가 미리 하지 않았고 카드 결제가 된지 너무 오랜 시간이 지나서 취소는 절대 할 수 없다고 답변함. 선결제를 하지 않는다고 명시되어 있어서 미리 결제가 될지 몰랐고 카드 결제가 이루어진지 하루가 되지 않았다고 말해도 들은 척을 안함. 카드결제 취소는 안되는 것이 아니고 귀찮아서 안해주는 것을 모르는 바가 아닌데 그런 기능이 없는 것처럼 말하는게 진짜 어이가 없었음. 덕분에 카드 수수료도, 사용하지 못한 현금 환전 수수료도 이중으로 부담하여 진짜 최악의 결제 경험을 함. 이런 서비스는 진짜 상상도 못함. 후기 및 평점 낮은것에는 다 이유가 있음. 진짜 뉴질랜드 한달 여행하면서 이런 말도 안되는 리셉션 태도는 처음봄. 서비스 정신 최악. 이런 행태는 다른 동네에서 본적이 없음. 진짜 남다르게 별로임.

Very friendly and helpful staff Very noisy at night being so close to the action but a pair of ear plugs fixes that. Tired building if that bothers you
• Desmond (4/5): - Location Poor facility. Blockage of the shower. Dirty cooking utensils and carpet
• Christine (2/5): Horrible due to above issues around basic requirements such as heating & a flood proof bathroom - Location Heater broken so they gave me a small fan heater in a large space which is very noisy & not safe to use overnight. So I was cold with no way to warm up. The shower nossle was broken so sprayed directly in corner of shower area and flooded the floor around the toilet. Didn’t realise until I stepped in it in the dark wetting my socks and pants. I told the desk attendant about it this morning and asked him if he wanted to do anything for me. He said no. I told him it was FAR from a $240 a night rook
• Alan (6/5): A wonderfull experience - Location is excellent, views amazing with a short walk to town Bathroom has been renovated, but still substandard. Shower has black mold, the shower head falls down, the toilet paper holder has fallen off the wall. The state of the kitchen is poor
