Vivienne (7/5): For an overnight business trip, the motel was fine. - room quiet and bed comfortable. I was tired after a day work and 2 hr drive, and had to ring after hours number re electricity; all sorted easily.. I did not meet any staff or have breakfast It was all ok

Adam (1/5): Do not stay here. - I can't think of anything honestly. Old outdated pink rooms. Cracked toilet bowl. Someone must have done one massive dump. Cracked bathroom basin obviously due to washing hands after said dump. Aircon that made more noise than 2 skeletons having a pull. Bed and pillows that were harder than the floor. Directly under the flight path. Can hear the highway clearly from the room and the couple next door having a shag. Had to hunt down the cleaning lady to get dunny paper as the office wasn't open when they said it would be. The main light in the bedroom flashed like a strobe light for 20 minutes after I turned it off.

Uns wurde eingeschärft, dass wir ab„scharf“ 8 kein Frühstück mehr bekommen. Das Frühstück war sehr sehr einfach. Der Raum nicht schön.So stellt man sich keinen Start in einen Urlaubstag vor. Im Zimmer war das Waschbecken in der Küche. Nicht im Bad. Keine Mikrowelle und keine Milch für den Kaffee. Uns hatte das Werbefoto gelockt. Doch so war es nicht.

Nikola (4/5): Okay for one night stay. Definitely wouldn't recommend it for a family. - Location was okay. The place smelled bad and it was pretty ran down and not clean.
Tiffany (8/5): Great for short stays - Perfect location, close to the hospital which was our reasoning for visiting. Continental breakfast that was provided was perfect, comfortable beds and free wifi access. Quite outdated, our room could definitely use a bond clean, had quite a stale smell in the room (dirty hand marks on the backs of doors and walls, dusty under beds, on photo frames and aircon). I understand this is out of the motels control, but it’s located in the travel path for planes to the airport and it’s VERY loud when they pass over. The only other thing we didn’t like was that visitors in nearby rooms were smoking and the smell was coming under our door and into our room which was unpleasant.

Free Wifi with good connection. Nothing major. Didn't have a smart tv, that would be a bonus. And would remove wheels on the bed, when sitting up in bed against wall, bed moves away from the wall. Planes fly directly over hotel, bit noisey, but can be exciting if you like planes. I would stay again, so wasn't off putting for us.
Matthew (1/5): Don’t waste your money! Look elsewhere! - Nothing Very disappointing stay at White Lace Motel! Unfortunately, the room was not clean on arrival — there was hair on the bed, the floors clearly hadn’t been vacuumed, and the entire room had an unpleasant smell. Even the spare blankets in the cupboard smelt stale and unclean, which made the stay very uncomfortable. Check-in was also a poor experience. The older gentleman at reception was blunt and rude, and we were actually yelled at for being on the balcony at 9pm on a Friday night, which felt completely unreasonable. Overall, the lack of cleanliness and unfriendly service made this a very disappointing stay. We would not return or recommend based on this experience.

Sue (7/5): Nice but rather noisy during the day. - The location was excellent as it was only 5 - 10 minutes from the Mater Hospital. The room was comfortable and had all the things we needed. Parking was very good. The area was quiet until the planes were coming in for landing. We were directly under the flight path, though the flights were mostly only during the day. The options for breakfast were ok. Cereal, toast and fruit juice. The bed was really soft! Which is ok for someone who is not heavy set. My partner who is quite a big person, felt like he was sleeping in a hammock as the bed sunk a lot! He could hardly move. The shower head could not be adjusted. If it was in its holder on the wall, it would just spray straight across and hit me in the face when standing up against the glass. If I stood in the normal area, it would be over my head. I am 165cm tall. It is rather hard to hold it and wash your hair at the same time.

Angela (3/5): Damp unpleasant room - Wheelchair access for aged Mother. Have used this accommodation for Netball Carnival weekends and I also put my repatriating workers here before they return via BNE to the islands. Booked for myself and Mother having cataract surgery. The room (Room 1) smelt strongly of damp and mould, we put aircon on dry mode to try and draw some of the smell out of the room, but it was not a pleasant night's sleep. As there are no ceiling fans in the room there was distinct lack of air flow. We decided not to stay the second night and returned home to Bowen and making a very early return to Mackay the following morning for final Surgery clearance.

Tracy (3/5): Not clean - Close to the hospital which was perfect for me as I was visiting family there. I stayed in two different rooms. While the rooms were outdated, I wouldn’t have minded but they were not clean. The showers were disgusting.

Breanna (3/5): Very much on a budget - Definitely a budget motel Beds were relatively comfortable Nice having a mini fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster Under the bed was FILTHY, when I checked under to see if we left anything behind I was horrified, like it’d never been cleaned. The toilet has a constant drip to it so it was always making noise which then affected the temperature of the shower, the couch had pen/ drawings all over it. The batteries in the tv remove were flat so we had to change batteries from aircon remote and tv remote during our stay. The breakfast was described as “wheatbix and stuff” by the worker. Would hardly advertise as free breakfast. One of the mornings there was no breakfast even set up. Chose to eat at a cafe in stead of bothering with the “free breakfast” Maybe just put the cereal in the room to serve yourself instead of advertising “free breakfast” The room set up was terrible. The plates and cutlery were in a tall boy that you couldn’t open the drawers properly because the fridge was in the way and half the pull rings were missing. There was a table but no chairs to sit around the table for meals.

RebeccaA82 (6/5): Was ok. - Convenient location. Spacious room. Friendly staff member who greeted me at reception. I had no idea where our room was, it was very confusing. Staff need to show guests on a map where their room is located. There aren't any signs to say rooms in this range of numbers are located this way, with an arrow. Everyday items that are touched by guests were dirty, eg. air conditioner remote, light switches, back of doors etc. The shower had hairs in it from previous guests. Where you went for breakfast was the closed down restaurant part of the motel. Half the room was partitioned off. It looked like it is being used for storage, which imagine is quite dusty in that section. The breakfast room smelled strange & dusty. Lactose free milk would have been good to have as an option.
Justin (1/5): This place is a nightmare. - Was close to the shops. There were stains on the main bed sheets and pillow cases. Mold on the roof in the shower as well as paint peeling off the roof. Missing/broken exhaust ventilation covers in the bathroom. The main bed was two singles put together which isn't a problem but one of the beds was higher then the other. The supplied kitchen equipment and hot plate was scratched and rusted. Overall the room was dirty.

Cesira (1/5): Absolutely terrible - Nothing! Bathrooms full of mold ! Bed sheets stained Everything especially the part where my car was broke into at 3:00am and the owner basically ran away when the police came ! Suspicious

David (8/5): - A quiet room, easily accessible, with motel essentials. Comfortable beds, plenty of parking, and a nice area. A breakfast of cereal, toast, tea/coffee available. All you need if passing through.

Helen (8/5): Huge family room available and free breaky was a bonus - The family room was super generous (little dated) but suited our needs perfectly. The external stairwell could do with a clean. The room was nicely cleaned.
