Alex (10/5): Spacious townhome close to the beach. - This place is excellent. Whether you are staying with your spouse for only a night or with a large family for a long period of time, this lovely apartment complex is the place you should stay. Each unit comes with an integrated garage and its own washer/dryer, which is very convenient. There were several bedrooms, however we only needed the one, but it was clean, modern, and had a comfy bed with plenty of blankets and extra pillows. There are two bathrooms; one on the first level off of the garage and next to the patio, and another on the second level next to the bedrooms. The second bathroom includes a shower (and heated towel rack!) and sink in one half, and a toilet and sink in the other half so if someone is taking a shower it doesn't limit someone from going to the bathroom (great for families in the morning or before bed). On the third floor is a kitchen, living room, and dining room that are all very spacious, modern, and comfortable. There's a DVD player for the kids on those rainy days too. The apartment itself is very close to the beach at maybe a 2 minute walk, and is about 800m from the downtown area. There is a convenience store approximately 200m from the apartment, and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from in the downtown. This apartment is worth a stay. If I lived in NZ I would make the Marine Reserved Holiday Apartments a regular summer destination.
John (10/5): Brilliant site and brilliant property - Wonderful to stay in, close to a lovely beach, not far from centre of town. The property is really well equipped, warm, cosy, and a drive in garage with remote doors.
Evan (10/5): - We absolutely loved our stay at these apartments in Whangamata. The apartment was fully outfitted with everything you need for a long term stay (even though we only stayed 1 night). We wish we would have stayed longer. The beds were super comfortable and the in suite laundry was great in the middle of our trip to get us freshened up. The staff are very friendly (exactly what you’d expect from MZ hospitality) and I would fully recommend staying here to anyone stopping by for a short or long stay.
Greg (8/5): Nice apartment very close to beach - The apartment was spacious and comfortable. Parking for two cars in the garage and we walked everywhere as the beach was right there and town was only a km away. Great bbq to use on the deck and from there we had an ocean view. With the living area on the floor above the bedrooms it was noisey with people walking around but once we were aware of that and treaded quietly it was better. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay and definitely would stay there again.
Chrissie (10/5): Ideal situation for our short stay in Whangamata - Stayed here to explore the Coromandel, mid winter and weather not so good but found this well appointed apartment was comfortable and a good place to return to when damp and cold. Thanks Chrissie
Juhli (8/5): Great service! - I pre-booked this room as I was planning a work trip away, I hadn't stayed before and the room looked suitable from the photos. I wasn't disappointed. The apartment was well kept, clean and tidy, the sheets were fresh and pristine, the lounge was comfortable and well set out. I ended up having to stay an extra night as the town was shut down due to flooding, and the staff were so accommodating and wonderful. The Wotif rep who I called to cancel my other reservation that I couldn't make due to the flooding was exceptional, and was able to sort it out for me. The garage with remote was perfect as the rains were torrential and I was able to get in and out without getting drenched. Very pleased with my stay.

Manager very rude and off hand. Manager not available or on site at office time on door to check out. Said I was only 5 minutes late. 4 people waiting to check out. When asked why the rate was $15 dearer he said if we booked direct and not on wotif we would have got it $15 cheaper. Close to beach but along way from main street
