• Zoe (8/5): Sehr guter Aufenthalt für mich für 1 Nacht. - Die Lage war sehr gut, sodass man schnell am Strand war. Außerdem hatte ich ein Schlafsaal alleine, was perfekt war (natürlich muss man Glück haben). Die Betten waren leider ein wenig dreckig, sodass ich Haare von anderen auf der Matratze gefunden habe.

• Jenny Charlotte (6/5): Gute Lage aber leider schon in die Jahre gekommen - Die Lage zum Strand ist gut. Man kann gut Leute kennenlernen Das Hostel ist in die Jahre gekommen. Gerade in der Küche und im Aufenthaltsbereich ist alles schon sehr alt und gebraucht.

• Indianna (7/5): Had a lovely time pleasant staff everyone was very friendly and it was perfectly clean - The shared girls room had good storage units mirrors and a sink etc. The showers were also very good. The quiet hours in place were very effective and on time. Wasn’t always a lot of space to sit and eat people would take over a lot of table space for preparing food. Maybe need more kitchen surfaces near cookers etc. Difficult to light hobs often struggled to find a Woking lighter.

• Noémie (6/5): Not for me despite great welcome - The person at the reception was very helpful and friendly. I arrived a little late and he still took the time to show me everything. Beds are terrible; you can feel every single spring. It wasn’t very clean either. Bathrooms are old. I didn’t feel comfortable. Also, in the middle of the night, a guy came in and left early morning again. According to the reception he was booked, but I still felt a little uneasy. It was hot and humid. I decided not to book another night and unfortunately I can’t recommend.

• Annalena (9/5): Ein Hostel in das man gerne wieder kommt - Super nettes Personal,sogar deutschsprachig. Man hat sogar eine Führung bekommen wo man was findet. Zimmer hatten kleine Waschbecken,superpraktisch zum Zähneputzen. Aufenthaltsräume waren auch bequem und man hat die gerne genutzt. Küche war auch gut ausgestattet und es wurde sehr auf Sauberkeit geachtet. Gut war,dass auch ausreichend Kühlschränke vorhanden sind.

• Rubi (8/5): - The host Letícia was really nice and showed me everything around and even gave me tips around town. The room is very small for four people and it was very hot to the point that the small fan available wasn't able to cool the room during the night abd there was no air conditioner.

• Charmaine (8/5): - Communal and lively! Alfie was really nice! The kitchen space was big. There were no sockets near my bed but I was okay with it as it was just a one night stay. Hope that when I return for a longer stay, I get a room with sockets!

Right by the beach and a town, amazing Even though it’s not a big issue but the only thing was that the tables outside were a bit dirty, but that would is such a small thing I doesn’t even matter

• Tobias (5/5): I get that every backpackers is a mixed pack of nuts but this one was worth a review - Friendly people, friendly staff and great music playing throughout the day. Decent facilities and spacious kitchen/dining area and a ping pong table too. Shops and beach just down the road and a popular cafe right next door Although friendly and welcoming when shown to my room I was asked by the staff member if I had been here before and if he should show me upstairs. He must have misunderstood me when I said "I haven't" as he replied with "okay" and left. Kitchen/dining area was infested with flies. The F word is very popular here! And I can only assume that what I heard from behind a closed door was people sharing something naughty in the hallway

• Jenny (5/5): Good location - Location is great. Not far from the town centre of the Mount. You can also park for free around the corner from the lodge. The shower area was really wet and stuffy so hard to dry yourself and get dressed. My single bed had springs poking me in my breast and side of my knee, so awkward getting comfortable. Clients ignored the peaceful hours after 10 or 1030 and made a racket till midnight

• Brad (10/5): Amazing. From a Kiwi perspective, I’d rather stay here than at a 5 star hotel in Auckland - Great location. Easy access. It was awesome to meet tourists (I’m a New Zealander). I was there for work and needed somewhere cheap. Rooms are great and I loved the games shelf and table tennis Would be better if access to tv upstairs was easier to use.

Hostel Room smelt awful. Not enough power outlets in the room for the number of people. One small fan which didn’t help cool the heat of the room. When I stripped the bedding after my stay, there was blood on the pillow which I didn’t like.

• Rebekka (9/5): Superb - Best hostel vibe I've experienced so far. Really friendly, people chat and hang out together, I did a surfing lesson (discounted significantly when booked through hostel reception) with others from the hostel and had a jam session with some others another day (guitar available at the hostel). Laundry facilities, lots of common spaces, large kitchen. Off street parking (around 9 spots total) and on street free parking just around the corner. Walking distance to the beach. Everything in the shared areas is a little grubby and worn (kitchen and bathrooms kept clean though). The bottom bunk beds are so low, you can't sit up in bed or comfortably prop yourself up lying down. Also the only hostel where I had some of my food stolen from the fridge, although obviously not the hostel's fault.

Will come again (despite the bunk beds) and will recommend the hostel for short stays. The bunk beds are horrible. While the mattress is super comfortable, the metal frame shakes with each movement. It was scary to get up and down because of how fragile the frame was perceived.
