There is a very low standard of care at this property and zero attention to detail. . - The water pressure in the shower was good The entry door waa flimsy, the microwave was very old and yellow, the kettle wasn’t usable( it had a large amount of detergent in it) , all the lamps were unplugged, the aircon remote batteries were dead and the room didn’t smell fresh. There were no staff onsite at 6pm or in the morning at 8 am.

- Sarah (7/5): - Manager extremely affable and efficient I felt very welcome. Unfortunately the bathroom had not been cleaned since the last guest. Very long black hair found throughout. Very happy the bed was clean and sheets fresh, I suggest the bathroom must have been an oversight. No one is perfect and mistakes can be made.

Parking was easy. The motel decor was nice. Location is excellent to Benalla facilities. The bed was terrible. Very flat and uncomfortable mattress. We both had a horrible sleep. Room was clean but didn't smell clean. Shower screen and mirror dirty. Milk in fridge was small longlife pods. Prefer small carton of fresh milk. No sanitizer or tissues provided. No sign on toilet to say it has been disinfected. The pool was dirty and very uninviting. Looks old and unused.

The “deluxe” family room is clearly advertised in multiple photos as having a second room / separate bedroom. Turned out to be a small single room with three beds jammed in. Small even for a standard 2 person motel room. Owners were very rude and dismissive - wouldn’t allow us to be refunded and leave to go somewhere suitable for our family with two kids after a long day on the road. No cutlery and crockery; lamps didn’t work; old appliances and old TV. Nothing deluxe about it.

Needed to request extra cutlery, crockery from reception which we couldn't do because it was closed.

- Greg (7/5): Good place for a short stay in Benalla - I have stayed at this motel a few times over the last 2-3 years. Its OK. Everything you need for a short stay. Always clean and the rooms are a decent size. This motel is a little dated and could do with a refurbishment.
