• Chantelle (8/5): My Room was clean, service was delightful, helpful & friendly, I will definitely come back. - Value for money, cosy, quiet & the room service is straight from the restaurant amazing food very homely with a variety to suit everyone. They deliver your breaky the night before so great for early risers. The cleanliness is impeccable, the mountain views are incredible. The shower was delightful, great stay for those who want to relax after a big work day. The little private pigeon hole for room service & breakfast delivery is simple & effective as no need to open the room door or leave dishes out side - best little hidden gem. The only small minor improvement would be to provide a power board between beds for more power outlet's like charging phones etc over night due to the tech people carry these days.

• Adam (10/5): Great staff/hospitality.. restaurant and view! - From the moment I walked into reception was greeted by awesome happy helpful staff… experience was enhanced with an awesome dinner .. even opened a little early as we didn’t realise opening hours .. great food.. and best experience in the cozy restaurant (great fireplace) with another awesome staff member talking another customer about the pianola and then set it up .. and then we got to enjoy the music!

It was also surprisingly very quiet and our room looked out over farmland. It was comfortable and suitable for us, but it needed a few minor cosmetic repairs.

• Bertrand (5/5): Très mauvaise expérience! - Heureusement qu’il y avait des couvertures chauffantes! Deloraine est une jolie petite ville! L’hôtel Empire offre une visite gratuite pour observer des platypus en fin d’après midi la fin de semaine. Nous avions l’unité 10 avec cuisinette à la mi avril. Il devait faire environ 14 degrés Celsius dans l’appartement à notre arrivée vers 15 heures. L’air entrait par une ouverture non fermable dans la salle de bain (voir photo avec notre solution) Le seul appareil de chauffage de l’unité n’a pas vraiment réussi à rendre l’unité confortable avant le lendemain matin alors que le vent à l’extérieur diminue. La salle de bain est restée froide pendant tout notre séjour et elle ne disposait d’aucun savonshampooing ni même de rideau de douche même s’il y avait des crochets pour un tel rideau. Les propriétaires de ce motel ne sont pas à la hauteur des standards australiens.

• Cameron (6/5): Reasonable cheaper accommodation in Deloraine - Good location above city centre and a short drive to Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm.. On-site restaurant has good food. Good sized unit for a family, with plenty of space. Several amenities were not stocked for 4 people- we had to chase up sons, plates, mugs, an oven tray and blankets. The oven is not Celsius and there were no instructions- a short google search helped her. The bathroom window doesn't shut and there is no heater in there, which makes shower time very unpleasant. Bathroom is accessed by walking past the three single beds, which makes it difficult when children are sleeping.

• Catharina (8/5): - Room with a view! Het motel ligt een beetje buiten het centrum, maar dat is tegelijkertijd de kracht. Een fijne rustige locatie, maar het centrum is ook op loopafstand. Je kunt in het motel lekker eten en je kunt een wasmachine en droogmolen gebruiken.

• Clyde (4/5): Very disappointed with the facility - It had a vacancy for 3 days The cost, the check in, the fact that we stayed 3 nights and the room was NOT serviced at all. We had to seek out additional toilet paper as the amount that was in the room nearly ran out after the first night. The restaurant was closed on the Sunday and Monday nights we were there.

• Renata (3/5): A somewhat depressing place - The room had a lovely garden view. This place is 70s vintage but not in a good way. Everything was just so old and tired. However, the worst part was that, around 7 am in the morning, I almost fell out of bed because of the noise and vibration of a large garbage truck that was emptying the large rubbish container right outside my unit.

Old style inn but renovated with simple neat and clean bathroom and linen. Great view to mountain range through large bedroom window. Restaurant wasn’t open for dinner so had to walk 500m to local British Hotel for dinner.

The room smelt like bleach, the light in the bathroom worked intermittently was told we would find a menu in the room but there was no menu. We had a parking bay but a car was parked behind us and it made it difficult for us to get out.

Old carpets, paint work, fittings etc. It was not clean. Dead flesh on the floor and windows. Bathroom not much better. Just old and neglected.
