Had to ring the bell twice and then waited some more time. Felt like the staff were not very friendly or welcoming.

Our room had everything we needed and we had a quiet and comfortable night's sleep. Overall it represented good value. Just a couple of small maintenance items in the room which the owner was aware of and on to.

The lighting was very harsh (fluorescents) and the road noise during the night was awful. Trucks going past at all hours, only a few metres away from my head.

The accommodation was clean but very dated and in need of a good freshen up, but reflected in the price, so expected. The shower door didn’t shut so managed to flood the bathroom.

• Karen (8/5): Pleasantly surprised by the standard and service in a country motel that reminded me of childhood roadtrip holidays! - Rooms were updated and comfortable, bathroom was modern and looked recently updated also. Loved that it still had an old-school breakfast hatch and we could order a continental breakfast to our room. The service was great - friendly and efficient. We couldn’t get a signal on our TV and front office were quick to respond and fix it.

The cockroach in the teacup. The manger was quick to apologise for and replaced the crockery and sanitised the bench.
