- Allan (8/5): An adequate place to stay in Hanmer. - The property is not modern and you get what you pay for. Quite okay for a place to overnight.
- Liz (4/5): - They were friendly and helpful but the accomodation is very tired, no sound proofing between walls, cramped and dark, lots of broken lights (which didnât help), hasnât been updated in decades. Kitchen was very basic with very old benchtop oven with elements on top. Not ideal for cooking. Was a wonderful location and it was the last available option in town so meant we could actually go. Donât have high expectations.

- Adam (4/5): - The reception man was lovely. However The room was really grubby. The couch and chairs were visibly dirty with white stains (probably food), they needed a hot cloth wipe. There were cobwebs and dead flies behind the doors and beds. Even the table needed a wipe down. The walls are thin as the lady next door was on the ph till 1am in the morning and I couldnt sleep.

- Vyona (2/5): - Unit 8 is small for 4 people it smells no place to dine, table had the TV on it. The unit was old and very tired, bathroom very tiny and old with an intense very unpleasant smell. Beds were extremely soft. Heating was a small wall heater that had all the TV box and cords in front of it so unsafe to use.

While the place is showing it's age & use, it was clean & tidy, the shower was great, the sheets were clean & the beds comfy. We slept well. Would I use Larchwood Motels again? Without hesitation. It's value for money indeed. I have to say, I enjoyed teh chat with the owner teh next morning. A cheerful & kind man.

- Rick (4/5): - Pillow old and flat. 1 pillow per person. Shower dirty, with mould. Clearly not cleaned in years. Bed was okay. Location not to bad. Needs updating in rooms. Not worth the price, even as a budget motel.

Walls are quite thin as you can hear people going up and down stairs. Room was of average cleanliness as some clothes were left from previous people, hair in shower, dirty pillowcase. Fine if just need somewhere to sleep.

Grounds are so run down it was embarrassing to look at it. Tiled floors throughout unit, were very cold in morning. Blown leaves everywhere in doorways, carports, driveway, all over the uncut lawns, it was just messy. Wishing we had stayed over road in camping ground.
