• Monica (4/5): - Comfortable beds and as we were only passing through, it served its purpose. Only one armchair, light in kitchen not working, bathroom does not have an extraction fan, shower base slippery and fire alarm not attached to the base but on top of cupboard. The room felt cramped as though it should have been a 1 room/1bed. Huge table and three chairs too big for the space.
• Beth (1/5): Unsafe rooms and bird fescues on bed - A truly awful stay, and this is my 6 motel in a week. I was given a room downstairs, nice enough inside which was good. The room was clean, bed looked lovely, shower pressure was okay, full kitchen with dining room table and four chairs. The pool looked nice from afar but it was far too cold outside to investigate. Downside was they had blinds in every window but no net curtains or normal curtains so I could see out and people could see in. I literally watched my neighbours unpack their car with the blinds closed and would be able to pick them out of a line up of needed. That’s how much of them I could see. Sitting beside the bed you can hear outside conversation word for word. I went out for a couple hours and when I returned I noticed a child running along the back of the room on what would be my own deck. Problem was it was fully open, every room sharing the deck with no partitions meaning anyone can be out there looking in through the crappy blinds. When I noticed this I went to closed the blinds and on doing so noticed that the back door was pushed shut but not locked with the door ajar. I had no idea the back door was open and I had left all my belongings in the room for a few hours. I left and when I came back at night time I realised that you could see completely into my room, I could see the outline of almost everything depending on what angle I was looking in at. Someone could literally watch me sleep if they wanted to. As you can imagine I was not happy. I suffer from PTSD which means my safety is paramount and when I feel like I’m in danger I get flashbacks, tics and get very very emotional. I realise this is a condition isolated to just me but my triggers are when I feel unsafe. When booking a motel room you should feel safe where you are, you shouldn’t have to feel like you need to work out exit plans. I went to reception very very emotional, explaining that as a solo woman on her own this was unsafe.

Motel lady was very kind and we were allowed to have late check out till 12pm which is quite rare in motels/hotels. Towels and room was quite nice and tidy and everything was perfect. Beds were very comfortable. Would highly recommed to others and come back again N/A. Everything was great. Land lady is very nice and accommodating

• Frances (5/5): Very disappointed. - The location was good but the unit left a lot to be desired. For a unit that was meant to be for disabled people it didn’t live up to it. There was no easy chair to sit in. The settee that was there was far too low for a disabled person, the mirror in the bathroom was impossible to see in if you were in a wheelchair, the lighting was not good, no can opener and when we went and got one it didn’t work,the blind in the bedroom was hopeless, the floor in the bathroom after we had used the bathmat was filthy and the shower floor was so slippery. Also couldn’t get down between the beds with the wheelchair or the walker. Could get down the other side but I’m not able to get in on that side.

Very hard to get out and also someone hit my car. Shower flooded bathroom. Drain couldnt keep up, making floor very slippery. Had to use towel to mop the water

Our room was literally somewhere for us to sleep as we were busy at an event, the first night we didn't get to our room until 10.30, the shower drain was blocked and full of hair, so cleaning that at 11pm after a really long day wasn't ideal. The blind facing the bed was terrible and our microwave didn't reheat our food.

It’s also really noisy with two semi main roads. There was a crusty booger on the wall in our bathroom and the drainage was shocking! One short shower flooded the bathroom as the drains don’t work as fast as the water comes out. Other than that the stay was good.

• Rags1 (8/5): Great service in Tauranga - The staff were exceptional and definitely went the extra mile. We arrived in a massive storm which hit Tauranga. We were travelling in two cars and asked if there was an extra car park. There wasn't but the manager moved her car out onto the road, in the storm, so that I could have her car park. Amazing. I then found that if my husband moved right to the back of our unit park, under the portico, I could get my car in behind his and not obstruct anyone else. So the manager was able to move her car back The unit was spotless and comfortable. It is an older unit and there is some water damage on the ceiling but it was roomy and had a separate bedroom and bathroom. The bed was comfortable - not outstanding but not lumpy either! Bedside table both sides and lights above the bed. So often these days there seems to be only one beside table and one light. Annoying when there are two of you. The people in the unit above us were noisy in that they were very heavy footed. Stomp, stomp stomp all night long. Then someone had a shower around 3am and then drove away from the unit. Sadly, didn't get a lot of sleep but that was not the fault of the proprietors. I would, if I went back, try and get a unit that was single level.

• Matthews (8/5): It’s a great space to relax and I enjoyed it, better WiFi would have been so much better. - Clean room, everything was nice and fresh, the room was very inviting and welcoming. I thoroughly enjoy my visit here. The lighting of the blinds or the door blinds it looks like you can be seen from the outside so it was a bit creepy, I did have to put towels over the blinds so that the light wasn’t directly in my face but I let the reception staff know. The WiFi didn’t reach very well, ended up having to use my data

• Chris (8/5): Good location if you have a vehicle or Uber around. Would stay again. - The team were lovely. Room good size and very clean. Could go out to a shared balcony which was nice. Our bed was a little tired but reasonably comfortable. The fan didn’t work so should be repaired or removed as there was an air conditioner which did cool the room down.
• Tauarua (3/5): - The pool was good. . Room was ok had a weird smell in it when we walked in there. Back door was abit dodgy couldnt lock it properly . Good location was close to everything
• Damien (10/5): Value for money - Friendly staff, nice size room There was some damp clothing or washing left in the wardrobe from previous uses but was quickly removed and cleaned once alerted to the manager

• Kevin (7/5): Good stay, thanks - Liked that it was neat and tidy. The bed was comfy. And the room was inexpensive Everything was quite dated although functional
• Elaine (8/5): Perfect for our needs - short stay for family to attend sports comp - Dog friendly A little tired but then it is dog friendly
