- Mabwe (3/5): Nice location though - Chilled I stayed there about a month ago. The location and concept have potential, but the property would really benefit from some renovation and deeper maintenance. The rooms felt quite old and dusty, with a noticeable musty smell. There were also signs of mould and spider webs around areas like the bedside lights, and the shower was constantly dripping water. With proper cleaning, maintenance, and some updates to the rooms, this place could offer a much better experience for guests.

- Dennis (1/5): Frustrating - Nothing. We did not like the attitude of the staff that was on the night that we stayed there. We felt that we had been given a very poor room, for what reason who knows why we were given the room we were given. The TV did not work, and the cleanliness of the roam was not that great. When we phoned the office we were told that the TV only had a few channels working, there was 1, we asked for someone to come and show us how to use the TV and was told that there was no-one that would be able to do more as that was the way it was. We were offered another room if we were willing to pay extra money which we were not prepared to do. The parking was awkward, if we had had anyone parked to our left they would not have been able to get out after we parked our car. A person did come down to our room and did have a look at the TV and then moved us to a different room.

I appreciate that and respect that also.. that being said I would not stay there again and the motel requires a complete refit if not a pull down rebuild .. if your desperate it will be fine until you can find respectable lodging..

Water pressure in shower A+ Room had a musty smell, so aired it out. Killed 6 cockroaches in bathroom, which then bought on the ants that feasted on one.

I reported this to reception and was told I could try another room. I told him we didn't want to stay at the motel at all and requested a refund. He told me because we booked through Booking.com he couldn't refund. I later requested a refund from Booking.com and was told they would contact the motel for them to consider a refund. We didn't hear back from either. There was nothing to like about this motel. It was dirty and unkept. The staff didn't appear to care and were not helpful. I would strongly recommend staying anywhere else.

The receptionist was away from office and wasn’t happy about returning until I explained that booking was made via internet. All was good once explained. Good comfortable room.

- Tim (9/5): The Burke and Wills has still got it!! Comfy, friendly, great value and exceptional dining - The Burke and Wills is a little nostalgic for me, so I enjoyed that. I had a lovely dinner - the Pork Belly was exceptional!! The weather - it was cold and wet.

The pool was green, unfortunately. And it being so hot, this was disappointing as I'd chosen this motel in large part for its pool. Also, a blind for the door window is needed, as light poured in all night. Hard to sleep.
