However, the room felt dated and lacked air conditioning or a fan, so we had to keep the window open, which made it quite noisy at night. There were persistent knocking sounds from upstairs, and some guests were loud in the evening, making it difficult to rest. The kitchen facilities were also more limited than expected. The staff were friendly and welcoming, but the noise and limited amenities did impact our overall experience.

Brittney (5/5): Great Location and Staff, but Not Worth the Price - This property has some great strengths, particularly its excellent location and truly fantastic staff. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and made the stay feel welcoming. There were a few significant drawbacks. The free Wi-Fi unfortunately did not work in my room for the duration of my stay, which was a major inconvenience and ultimately led me to check out one night early. Additionally, the room quality was not what I expected for the price. While I think this stay could be a good value at around $80-100 per night, it did not feel worth the $185 per night that I was charged. With a few improvements—especially to the Wi-Fi and room quality—this property could offer a much better overall experience.

Staff were very nice. Swansea itself is a bit run-down but it is a good stopover point, incorporating the beautiful coastal drive from Hobart.

The staff were exceptionally knowledgeable about what to see and do around the location. Walking distance to a lovely cafe. A pillow menu is available. An older property. The curtains had come off the railings where you close them.

LatestPlace (4/5): Access is key. - We booked an accessible room well in advance to meet my needs. Basic really, no stairs and a walk in shower. After a long day driving, my friend and I arrived to find the room was only accessed by stairs, and had a shower over the bath. We had received no advice or updates from the motel about the change, leaving me in pain and highly disappointed. It seems a coach outweighs a mobility issues person.

As I had stayed here before I knew they had easy walk in showers and easy access ie no stairs in the back no view units. Booked one several months in advance and contacted them to confirm accessible access. Did not hear back from them but as I had stayed in the exact room in the past I knew that shouldn’t have been a problem. When we turned up we had been moved to a non accessible room without notice with a shower over the bath which my travelling friend could not use. As there were no other available accommodation in the area after a long day of driving we had no choice but to stay or sleep in the car. It was very painful for my friend to navigate the stairs. The reason for the change? A bus tour. Never staying here again and would not recommend

Great Italian restaurant open for all meals. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here during our Lap of Tasmania. No negative comments
Rajaratnam (9/5): - Views and easy access to be able to walk in the beach. Even though it was close to a main road how quite it was when we stayed there for the night Stairs to get to the room with a heavy suitcase. But bring on the first floor have us a better view on the beach and Bay

Cindy (10/5): Unforgettable stay - Perfect location, close to shops cafes restaurants, a few steps to the beach and the bus stop to Hobart. Room quiet and clean with amazing ocean view and sunrise. Gorgeous BBQ facilities in front of the ocean. Very welcoming staff especially Bell with a beautiful heart. This hotel made me fall in love with the town of Swansea. Highly recommended.

Yvonne (5/5): Won’t be staying there again. - Not a real lot going for this place, especially if you get the single story/road side room. Room extremely basic and no aircon, just a portable heater/fan. Small and basic. Noise from road and no value for money
Jian Wen (8/5): - You must book a room with water view. It's amazing when you sit outside for a cup of tea. Easy to park, and walking distance to everything. Staff are friendly, warm and helpful.
