• Jade (9/5): No fluff, just what we needed - We stayed the night before boarding the Spirit of Tasmania. Room had all the facilities we needed and was within walking distance to the main street & esplanade. Had secure parking (beware if you have a lowered car through as it will absolutely scrape and you can't drive in on an angle - there is free parking at the front though if you don't need secured parking) There was a funny smell in our room - I think someone before us may have been cooking something smelly and the smell hung around. The hairdryer low setting didn't work. The kettle 'on/off' switch was broken.

Quite close to Esplanade where there are a number of coffee shops and restaurants. A bit of a walk to the Geelong shops but manageable. Takes about 15 mins. $25 if you want to park your car on property. Parking outside of property.

I have never encountered such a hard mattress in all the travel I have done. I found it hard to sleep soundly.

Lots of Feathers sticking out of sofa pillows that need to be pulled as it makes the sofa look messy and untidy. I am an Interior Designer and pulled most out myself while watching TV.

• Jack (9/5): Wonderful accommodation, please highlight that parking is not included. - The location of Quest Geelong is excellent as you're over the road from the water and a short walk to several pubs and takeaways, and a little further to the CBD. The staff were great and the accommodation was perfect, especially as I received a complimentary upgrade. I didn't like that parking wasn't included, there was no mention of this during booking, and the cost of parking would have been almost 20% the price of the room. In the end I parked in the street.

• Rhychelle (7/5): Good value for convenient location - Large kitchen, bathroom, and living space. Free child cot on request, clean towels and bedding. Kitchen items were old/dirty, bathroom was surface clean but needed some love. Adjacent room/hallway noise was not quiet and made keeping baby settled a bit of a challenge. Beds were too firm for us, which is obviously a personal preference so unsure if it counts, baby cot was old and a bit janky.

Mary was very friendly and helpful. We were compelled to book again. The staff assisted us in our travel to Melbourne by allowing us to park before checking in.

You could see from the side that it was sagging about 4 inches and unless you would roll to the side. Touch lamp was broken and needed to be unplugged as kept turning on in the night. Dog fee of $102 was very steep for 1 night.

I thought parking was included but it's extra ($25 a night) if you want to park in their carpark. On street is free, if you can get a space.

Close to Spirit of Tassie terminal (which was our primary reason for choosing), but pleasantly surprised by the welcoming feel to the unit which was spacious with all the amenities. Some car park spaces are a bit tight!
